What makes me mad about the Chick-fil-a stuff.
Forums › General Discussion › What makes me mad about the Chick-fil-a stuff.-
Ignorance. Whether you agree or not, it's blown out of proportion.
1. He never said anything about gay rights or gay marriage. He said "...we beleive traditional marrige.". (I can pot the full quote if you wish)
2. Chick-fil-a is a franchise. Not every restaurant may hold the same beliefs. Some even sponsor gay pride parades.
3. He has no company policy on anything related. He was stating HIS beleifs. There are homosexual employees as well as heterosexual ones.
4. It "came out" that he donates the some of revenue he makes from his company to organizations that support traditional marriage. (not "hate groups").
5. It's blow out of proportion. As in the Mayor of SanFran saying he would not support chickfila in his city a because they are "homophobic". Again, there was never anything said about this.
-
6. It's not very fair. When a company (like Nabisco, maker of Oreos) comes out as pro-gay, they are applauded. No Christians say they are being "hateful" to them. But if it has different beleifs, they are "hateful" and should be forced to change their beleifs. Talk about double standard.
Conclusion:
It's dumb. The owner of a company believes something. He doesn't apply it to his company. Boycotting only hurts the employees and owners of the franchise which may or may not agree with Cathy. It's way overblown. Kinda like Travon Martin's stuff.(and I feel sorry for those who boycott, they're missing out on some darn good chicken)

I get mad when they run out of waffle fries.
-
And i'd rather you pm me if you want to talk. (although I know it will probably happen here).

There's a thread for this, your opinions are more valid then anyone else speakin in that thread? Why polite further. A bit hypocritical of your last thread, no?
-
You know what's funny? I have no idea what chick fil a even is. I also don't understand what that word has to do with gay rights or whatever. I kinda assume it's something in the news or something.
I noticed that thread got big, and some feel mad and junk. Didn't even look interesting.

chick-fil-a is shitty fast food.
-
And there is chicken just as good or better out there.
-
Wait what? Seriously? What the fuck compelled you all to post 400 replies to a thread about a chicken fast food place's opinions on gay rights?!? Lol... I mean who cares? It's not like the opinion of a company means anything. A company image isn't even a human being who can have a view!
Is this really the subject?
-
Hahaha chick fil a? What a shitty name. What does that even mean?
-
I wonder how many times the word "Oreo" has been posted in the forums...
-
I can't take my kids there anymore...
In the play area, every 15 minutes a creepy low-toned guy voice comes over the speakers and says:
"Jesus is our savior."
Or
"God loves you."
That's all I need. Their opinions are their business. But when they pull that crap, I don't go in there.
Polynesian sauce be damned.

Oreo had haters and angered religious people when they showed gay pride & equality.

It means chicken filet. It is a strange name, but I've never had a better fast food chicken sandwich. It might be my favorite chicken sandwich altogether. But I do get a hankering for the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices every now and then too.Hahaha chick fil a? What a shitty name. What does that even mean?

Best oreo cookies are the mint...those things are damn good

There is already a thread for this, correct me if I'm wrong but TOS states to not post multiple topics on the same subject, you creating a new topic on the subject was not ignorance like the new players that post 300 xbox v ps3 but rather just blatant disregard for rules. Well done.

But yeah, it's a restaurant chain and the owner expressed his personal beliefs and the LGBT and Liberal media took it as an act of war. -
Its not the same thread the other one was about chick fil a this is about how people are getting angry over nothing for chick fil a the only reason the other one is about this is because it was hijacked

It's still just an opinion, OTB, and it doesn't represent the views of the entire company, just the one guy.glman, here is what COO Cathy said:
"We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."
He also said,
"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,' and I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is about."

You forgot to ask; does a man marry a woman after raping her?COO Cathy's statements beg the question: which biblical marriage values and principles was he referring to?
Should men engage in polygamous relationships like Abraham?
What about marrying your half-sister?
Should men in childless marriages take on mistresses, and once they conceive, to exile them and their children from their towns?
Should men be required to marry the widows of their deceased brothers, even when the men themselves are already married? When was the last time we banished a married couple from our communities for having sexual relations during the woman's period?
Should we really kill young people who disrespect their parents?
Is this how we do and should define "traditional marriage" and "traditional families" today? -
I simply don't care about this gay VS church BS, as long as they let me be.
-
How about this. Everyone just shut the hell up and get over it. It's not a big deal. The majority of turf wars doesn't give a damn if you eat at chic-fil-a or out of your ass. I've seen threads about chic-fil-a for days now and who gives a flying f*** what the COO of chic-fil-a thinks. B****ing about it on turf wars will get you nowhere.

I will not be involved in a huge fight here. But I beleive that the old testement is still a part of the bible, but the rules there are no longer applicable, I follow the law as is taught in the new testement and there it says there also that homosexual marrage is wrong. So I don't beleive those apply unless they were set forth in the new testement.COO Cathy's statements beg the question: which biblical marriage values and principles was he referring to?

It's the liberals bro they retards they worry about things when it is happening right here and they think gay is the right thing when God doesn't like it

glman wrote:
I don't give a damn about either one of your testaments. They have nothing to do with my life. I come from a tradition many times older than christianity. Why should it apply to me? What gives you or this cathy guy the right to try and tell me how to live? Go ahead and believe what ever you want but leave the rest of us alone.OneThumbBastard wrote:
