She isn't wrong. Wishing for something doesn't make it happen. Look at what you've got going for you, rather than always looking at what's against you. That's your worst enemy, not this country's policies.

And before you even bring it up, during my climb to my moderate success, I've battled mental health issues all the way. A broken and abusive home growing up, three marriages gone, an involuntary commitment to a psych ward, medication and therapy all the way.
B, shut the fuck up and do it or don't.

I'm done debating, but just wanted to say I respect what you've overcome, Brown Note.

And how the shit did I quote twice up there.
Screw it, it's all about the turtles anyways.

This movement is not to drive a wedge between the guy at minimum wage flipping burgers who doesn't care about his job, and the guy who works extremely hard to keep his/her family in a decent house with a decent standard of living. It's very easy to see the difference in the standard of living they have achieved. This movement is about the 1% (and with all due respect I doubt there are any people in this thread in that category) who control an obscene percentage of the wealth. No one is advocating communism. Just a fair shake for everyone. I thank the person who is camping out protesting on my behalf, as I have no inclination to put myself in an uncomfortable place.
-
1 percent is 1 in a hundred. There are over 8000 posters in this forum, many of which post using the most expensive consumer devices on the planet. The top 1% seems like a small number, I suppose. But that's over 4 million people in this country. Mob mentality is all this is.
The obscene wealth in this country is probably more like .0001%
You want to take them out because you suck at finance. It's sick.
Perhaps I'm wrong. What do you want from these 4 million Americans?

You even want what those protesters might give you but aren't willing to work for yourself as you are uninclined to put yourself in an uncomfortable place. So you'll take from the 1% and the people you say you thank. Do something to support your argument and/or your convictions or your argument is pretty hollow. This movement is not to drive a wedge between the guy at minimum wage flipping burgers who doesn't care about his job, and the guy who works extremely hard to keep his/her family in a decent house with a decent standard of living. Wow. Great comments from all especially Brown, Karma, 41, and B. The issue I would bring up is the portion of the so called 1% that happen to be big business, government or any other big organization. There is too much waist. Taxes seem to pay for bureaucrats, or middle management. Often the fat does the trimming, and the front line gets cut. That needs to change. I'd purpose higher taxes, but seeing how you guys have responded to B I'll simply suggest we cut the middle management. To clarify I do believe in hard work and reaping what you sew (you know what I mean). There is a need for social systems. Some need help, but the hand up can not be a hand out. Balance is key and we may need to find a better balance financially, environmentally, politically, ect. Then again we up here may not know what we are talkin aboot, eh. 🔫🔫©

What they are saying is that there is 99% of America who are working their jobs and doing the right things. But then there's the 1% I.e. the government, banks, large corporations that have ruined it all for the 99%. Which is kinda true if you look at the whole Fannie Mac Freddie Mae situation. And how we enlarged our debts by bailing out big banks. So the big, greedy banks get money handed straight to them, but the honest, hardworking people have to lose their jobs their homes and their money? Rediculous. -
Sorry it didn quote the beginning line. That is from brown note
-
Does anyone know where the march will be on Wednesday in new York city. I haven't been able to find it.
-
@Belial stop trolling and move to China, you'll be happier I think
-
@Clone: Wait...99% of America has had what ruined by the 1%...huh? I don't think our country is perfect, but I don't agree with the vast majority of the occupy movement either. I'm also definitely not in the 1%, so someone needs to do research or math...probably both.
-
I have no real knowledge of the US jobs market or economy.... But I can tell you brown is a great debater.... And he makes some good points...
-
So what you are saying is... It's all bumper sticker logic, and has nothing to do with the wealthiest 4 million Americans. I see.
Take away Government, large corporations, and banks, we all work at the general store, or push plows for a living, and sleep in a shed. You eat what you can grow and barter for. You die at age 45 on average. Every time those damn Canadians and Mexicans invade, you have to beat them off your women with sticks.
Now click your heels together 3 times and say "there's no place like home.... There's no place like home, there's no place like home..."

I hate those liberal assholes. Theyre so ignorant its not even funny. I passed a bunch of them in nyc the other night in the rain and guess where they WERETAKING SHELTER?! IN A BANK OF AMERICA!!!! jesus christ.... Now, you may ask yourself... How did they get in the lobby area? WITH AN ATM CARD OF COURSE! im so tired of people complaining and wanting things to change when they constantly feed the beast! Dumb fucks. If they were so serious about their movement, they would branch out and get smart and set an agenda. And when are they going to throw away their coorperate produced umbrellas, iphones, nikes, etc etc. Twats.

their hand signal platitudes are very specific.

U sure about that? I hear the moolah is coming from china? Also in regard to the hygeine, someone at the toP of each of these movements should be organising that, fox news is at the forefront of misinformation.. Sure isnt bushes ex spin doctor an executive director there???He was walking away and got his skull fractured. Hell, you can see pictures and video of this kind of police state activity that's happening nationally every day. I was just looking at a pic of the armored personal carrier the Tampa police are rolling out to deal with unarmed protesters.
If you believe in the Constitution you should be worried. These are unarmed citizens, exercising their rights and not hurting anyone. People want to go out in the streets to protests the power of the banks? Go for it! Fuck the banking industry, it does have to much influence. Whether you agree or disagree with their reasons or effectiveness - this is the USA, not China -
