In 2018 the flu killed waaaaay more ppl yet it wasn't hyped up like this. Every 3 or 4 years we go through something like this. Ebola, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, Sars... There has to be another reason that the media is hyping this little Corona virus and making ppl panic and act a fool... haven't done any research on this yet but I'm hearing talk about something called pandemic bonds which are bonds ppl have been investing into. Some very intelligent ppl are saying it could just be a big cash grab. It's all a game with these cental banks/Rothschilds. Just some food for thought. Most ppl getting it are not dying. It's only old weak ppl or ppl with pre-existing conditions that effect their immune system. Compared to the last few "pandemics" this is nothing.

Clearly those 14,611 people that have already died aren’t important since you didn’t know them. 😒
I’m not sure what planet you live on, but you clearly don’t pay attention to any actual news. You appear to get all your “news” from conspiracy websites.
Yeah, all the banks of the world got together and thought it would be fun to cause a recession. I’m going to stop posting now before I cross a line. 😡

@ OG Silent: Since you clearly didn’t bother to actually read the thread before posting, maybe you should read the part you missed below.

I’ve been married for 25 years and I’ve considered my in-laws to be additional parents since before I was married. I will be fucking devastated if anything happens to them.My parents are dead, but I’m really close with my in-laws. They’re 70 and take meds that suppress their immune systems. I’m worried the most about them.
I guess you wouldn’t care if anything happened to Xambler either, since you don’t know him. Well, I consider him a friend. Maybe you should act like your name and go back to being silent.

It is crazy over here; my wife lost a very close cousin who was 78 and the hospital had no choice but not to take her in as they have to choose who has the best chance of survival, and a good friend lost his father where he can’t see his mother or had the chance to say goodbye to his dying father.Even today nobody can go to any funerals or visit the bereaved.Another friend has her father gravely ill in hospital.Today the army were called into an old folks’ home to disinfect it and found residents dead in their beds unknown to staff.Services cannot keep up with things such is the immense pressure on them. The list goes on.
We have now been under lockdown for 12 days or 13,I have lost count.I paint away and give classes over the internet which I hate as I am a dinosaur with technology, haha. My son keeps busy and is happy painting, baking (the kitchen he tries to clean but it is like a bomb hits it each time, haha, but the important thing is that he is occupied). -
We make films together,do activities when I can( busier than ever) and he does his homework each day.He gets up early, gets dressed and follows a routine which is intrinsic to one’s wellbeing I believe .We can only take the dog out to do its business and shop as little as possible.People are showing solidarity and holding it together, however. So surreal, when will things be normal again I ask myself. It is just so different and the mind thinks of other things to not mull over it overmuch.
My wife has a business and she works from her pc so we are all doing well.I wonder when I can get back home to see my parents and the anxiety of not being able to leads to fretting. They are isolated and are keeping in good spirits.
I listen to the radio from my native country every day and keep abreast of things there: it is like here a week ago.I get the WhatsApps off some friends from there and warn them that most are not true which only undermine any confidence a person might have in things. -
“A history class” indeed it is like and our generation gets to live it,in these sobering times. Keep safe everyone and help contain this lethal enemy and protect others, especially the vulnerable.Kind regards to all,Vish.

I was looking at the list of essential businesses that are allowed to stay open here and most are expected - grocery, pharmacy, laundry, etc. Then I had to laugh - apparently liquor stores are also considered essential businesses. I mean, technically you could use some of the kinds of alcohol they sell there to disinfect things, but I’m pretty sure no one or almost no one is using it for that. 😆

Same here in Ontario Canada, if they closed them here there would be riots in the streets.

I am laid off and have a total of 250$ in the bank. Rent is due in a couple of days. The place I just got laid off from isn’t answering the phone and it says their doors are locked online. So I’m now stressing out about how to pick up my final paycheck If the doors are gonna be locked and no one inside? I have rent, credit card and utility due soon. I don’t know what to do.

The US has just surpassed China and Italy to have the highest number of total cases in the world.

On March 19, the Texas Supreme Court issued an order stopping eviction proceedings for the next 30 days, until April 19. There are exceptions for criminal activity or if the tenants "pose an imminent physical threat."𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙞𝙚 wrote:

Most states have done something like this - check online.

“The Texas Public Utility Commission voted Thursday to ban utilities from cutting off power and water services to Texans who have lost jobs and income during the COVID-19 crisis for at least the next six months.”
You will still have to pay the bills later.

Doctors in UK grossly lowering their mortality projections. In the US we have a surplus of beds and respirators at the moment. Stopping everything and people losing their jobs is going to end up hurting WAY more people than the disease will.
