As officials urged calm and common sense advice on preventing the spread of the illness during a Wednesday press conference, it may have come too late. The RodeoHouston BBQ on Feb. 28 was attended by the person that's been identified as Montgomery County's non-travel related coronavirus patient.

Looks like Austin finally decided to cancel South by Southwest. It was a smart decision but the economic impact will be tough.

Me and my college friends have been planning a spring break trip for several months now, and my flight has been booked. Flying to Atlanta friday morning and then road trip to Florida for the week. Wish me luck😬

Just left Florida last weekend the day before the first case (and death) was found in our home county. Headed up to our mountain home to be hermits for a while until the government gets their act together. Was kind of an excuse to take the Tesla on its first road trip also :). Both wife and I have compromised immune systems (her a liver transplant and me on chemo as they try to figure out why I have high platelets) so not panicking but definitely will be acting like Monk for a while. Might have to binge on that series again...watched The Stand last weekend. Sigh.

Can’t even hide from the overreaction crowd here on turf wars. There’s a lot of stats out there that I won’t repeat because you’ll interpret and twist them however you want anyway. This will blow over and half of you won’t remember any of this by June. Facts are if we put even a quarter of the effort we’re putting into the lame coronavirus into stopping our obesity epidemic half of your asses would be handcuffed to a treadmill right now.
Anyway, keep getting in fights over toilet paper you lunatics.

Only time will tell if the public officials are overreacting but I prefer that to under reacting. There’s nothing wrong with erring on the side of caution.
I’ll remember by June but I think it’s fascinating. Hmm, obesity might be easier to stop if it was contagious.
I prefer to hole up at home anyway - hey, this may be the only time my social phobia is actually helpful. 😂
I’m not fighting over any toilet paper. I still think that’s weird.

Here in Italy is hard now. We’re trying to do what China did for stop the contagion. People can move only for work , buy food or health reason. Who can works from his home, another people work less and stay at home some days. All pub, bar , restaurant are closed

I’m taking advantage of cheap flight because right now it’s cheaper than gas and I’ll only have to take one day off work instead of 3. Traveling to my grandmas 90th birthday party. Risky I know. But I plan to take gloves and wipes and keep my distance, especially from elders. Sorry grandma, no hugs 🙅.
