Yes please.....I think it's about time everyone but the outright trolls are unbanned. Bring back Belial, OTB, etc. Who cares if someone posts codes here? Or starts a legitimate argument? Or threatens to gouge everyones' eyes out with a fork? The game needs life!
Mods, Nick, Beauty, bring back the dead and inject some fucking life back into TW!

Dear hyena,
You understand "people" not "Christianity". Just as "radical Islam" is not the true way for followers of Muhammad(at least that's what I've been told by my Muslim friends) so is the way with some of the crazy "Christians" we've seen in history. I can say I'm an "awesome rock star" as good as jimmy Hendrix, but really I suck. Then you all could say "see!? Rock music sucks cuz this guy says he's as good as jimmy Hendrix!" Point being, people are people, and we can screw anything up, including Christianity, Islam, or rock music lol -
And as for what you've read, I would like to know how you base your rules of Hermeneutics before you tell me what the bible says exactly on doctrine my friend :) just saying lol I wouldn't want a person to do my federal tax return unless he'd gone and studied using the federal "pub 17" as well as every other annoying tax publication 😞(man I hate taxes lol)
-
(And I know you didn't specifically say doctrine, but whether you realize it or not, stating some of the things you did about the bible relate to doctrines)
-
I love how a thread about Belial turns into religious arguments.
Even though I didn't always agree with him, I still enjoyed reading his posts.
And OTB was banned? Wtf? How can you ban the pants?
Bring OTB and Belial and the others back!

True but Christianity being the church encouraged the crusades, inquisition etc....Dear hyena,

Islam is as bad or as good as Christianity, Judaism etc....
I just don't get how you guys can believe when there is no evidence and in fact all evidence points at an absence of a god...
-
Yes, church leaders are people, and again, people screw things up that's for sure. Most of those church leaders back then (at least those involved in the crusades and such) were doing it for political or wealth gain, which is not the biblical commission of the church. At least that's what it says in the bible, I think they must have been reading "how to get rich and gain territory for dummies" rather than the Bible. As for belief in God in "evidence" saying there isn't, I'll try to explain my position:
-
See this, there is no God, if he exists, why isn't he acting like a true "king" would act? Why isn't he ruling like a king over subjects? I think you would agree that if everything was the same today, and "god" was ruling in this manner, there would be no argument(duh). So hence, because he does not produce himself in the stated manner, it is assumed he does not exist. It would require "faith" in unseen evidence to believe in him. And of course, the many other scientific "proofs" people apply
-
Now see this: I have been raised in Christianity. I have proofs both spiritual and scientific that he exists. To me, "atheism" would be a "leap of faith." However, when I reached 18 I had a breaking point. I had to find absolute proof of God. I am a very logical person. I am in the middle of my college degree to be a CPA and I also have certification in my state to do taxes. I love "structure" and "proof." I'm a spreadsheet type of guy(nerd lol) so at 18 I was at a point that I either proved His existence to myself or I was dropping it.

So you are an agnostic theist, in that you don't know there is a god but you choose to believe there is one despite the lack of evidence? Is there a reason you can't believe in chance???? What are the odds that this planet exists with life in this universe purely by chance, my estimation is 100%...See this, there is no God, if he exists, why isn't he acting like a true "king" would act? So, these positions being stated: you see Christianity as a "leap of faith on unseen evidence." Whereas I see the exact opposite. "Atheism is a "leap of faith on ignored evidence." Whether we convince each other of our beliefs is pointless at this juncture. The only thing I ask is this. Whichever position you take, you better study it out yourself. NEVER take someone else's word for it. If you don't believe in God, study it out to prove your point scientifically. Delve into biology and prove evolution beyond a shadow of a doubt to yourself. Likewise Christians, dive in and study your beliefs. Are they backed by the Bible? Is the Bible real? Prove this to yourself beyond a shadow.

This thread is starting to get very frustrating.Im a Christian.I have faith in the one and only God.These are my beliefs. Many of you will have different beliefs. But who do we think we are to make others religions look like trash. And tell people there religions aren't true.If you're religious you believe in something. And the least we could do is respect it rather than telling them that it is wrong.

Ignorance leads to slavery in some form. Whether it be spiritually, socially, politically, or scientifically. Just look at history.

Totally agree, it is important that each and every person study and read and make up their own mind. I used to be a Christian, I found that the church did not fit my moral compass, that I could not be satisfied that there was any evidence of a god and that even if there was in my opinion when you read the bible in full, he really is a bit of a dick....Ignorance leads to slavery in some form. Don't get frustrated Pzm, though I do understand it can get that way quick. We should respect others and they're beliefs. But remember, respecting someone and endorsing someone is different. By respecting I don't endorse, but neither do I force my belief on them. Thanks LeWolfe, I'm not meaning to trash, more challenge. See if it is possible for someone to explain their beliefs so I can understand their perspective, even if I don't agree with it.

For example the Theory of Evolution. How can anyone not understand how this works and see it in everyday living??? Is the son a clone of the father, no he deviates and is unique. These deviations over millions of years have resulted in the diversity we have on this planet....

Well stating that Christianity encourages raping is false. And definitely did not please me at all.So I ask that you make sure you know what your talking about before saying something that would make ones religion seem bad.Thank you. Thanks LeWolfe, I'm not meaning to trash, more challenge. If you would like to know what Christianity is I'd tell you.But so far most of what you've said about it has been false

Lol hyena, I'm not going to argue evolution on this thread, you have stated you believe and have proof, I state I disbelieve evolution and I have proof. But the important thing is what you stated. "Challenge beliefs." I totally agree with you on that point. Challenging is not "insulting." When people read this thread they should be "challenged" and go study evolution vs creationism. And as for calling God a d***, it is an insult to is Christians and kinda makes you one for saying it 😉 there are less crude terms you to state your opinion you know. Debate needs to be kept clean from derogatory terms for it to be effective

http://www.evilbible.com/Rape.htm
1) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
3) More Murder Rape and Pillage (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)
4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her. -

First off, remember, the bible is a historical document as well as being a doctrinal document. God doesn't say "go rape that girl." So as for there being rape in the Bible, yes, there are a lot of dumb idiots in the bible and the Bible records their actions just like a good history book. I can name a full list of idiots in the bible lol now second point. The bible is divided into two sections: Old Testament, New Testament. This is where your rule of Hermeneutics comes into play. Which would explain your reference of the laws of rape in Deut. As well as references to why they didn't wear mixed cloth and all that other stuff and why it's not a rule now. Remember, a majority of the Old Testament was meant to be symbolic and it backs the New Testament up.
