So what your saying is if outlaw assault rifles then criminals won't have them? Last time I checked drugs are illegal but what do ya know criminals have those too.If you plan on hunting do you take a 50 round assault rifle or shit? No. What do use it for then? The average hard working American doesn't need it. But a criminal can use it to kill dozens of people at once. Why so we need it?
Listen I am not a gun guy. Never owned one doubt I ever will. That said I am against the idea of outlawing all guns. But there isn't a need for someone to own an assault rifle.

Ribbet. And if ALL guns are banned, you still have knives, brass knuckles, hammers, drills, rocks, all kinds of shit to use is a weapon. Taking away our rights isn't the answer. Criminals ALWAYS find a way to commit crimes. That's their nature.🌾ᏦᎻᎪᏞ🌾 wrote:

Two questions for you, why didn't the 90's assault weapon ban stop the Columbine massacre? And, since felons aren't legally allowed to own guns in many states already, how are they still committing crimes with guns? Dont they know its against the law?!((Emotional and illogical liberal rhetoric that has pure motives but recklessly little forward thinking))
I figured real life examples might puncture that idealist and ideological bubble you're living under.

More people were killed with hammers and baseball bats last year in crimes than guns lets outlaw them to👍

And yes. Chances are, if someone is coming at you with a knife, or any weapon, you're not going to have the presence of mind to react before you get stabbled or hurt. Would a knife take longer to hurt a larger group of people, yes. But it is just as "effective" as a gun

Just because you haven't seen or heard about it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

Turf Warrior and others who have never heard of mass killings with knives and/or blunt objects, check it out. Imagine the evil is inside the people and not the objects they use.

No ones answered my question yet. I am in support of the 2nd amendment, although I will probably never have a gun. Why should anyone need an assault rifle? I fail to see the purpose. I may be missing something obvious, and if so, correct me

Because, Wegsies, it's an incrementalist strategy to ban guns, first. Second, because we have a constitutional right to own AR's. Third, because most home invasions occur with more than one person, so I'm happy I have something with 30 rounds that can defeat Kevlar. Fourth, because an assault weapon ban was already tried and had negligible impact on crime. Practically speaking, this is an emotion-driven witch hunt in which a bunch of sheep don't want people to protect themselves under the guise of "OH THE CHILDREN, WONT SOMEONE SAVE THE POOR CHILDREN"No ones answered my question yet. Less assault guns= less schools shooting and other shootings. The mighty and all-knowing federal government will protect us all from guns, and sickness, and evil. And once all the guns are rounded up, it will protect us from tyranny. And tuck us into our cocoons a night and provide for all of our needs.
Once again only military needs assault weapons anyway..... -

Can't this just be used as an argument to how easy it is to get a gun? There are too many incidents for it to be a few that slipped through the cracks. Gun ownership is too entrenched in the US for it to vanish in one go. The big argument for concealed and military style rifles always seems to always be self defence. Everyone wants to shoot an intruder. You are all absolutely correct. It's the gun's fault. Not the mentally unstable individuals behind them. 👍

The law is called the castle law, also in kentucky we don't have a duty to retreat either, we can stand our ground. I'm very well trained in use if for e in kyIt's not about NEEDING a gun. It's about having the RIGHT to own a gun. In KY, if someone breaks into your home, you have the right to shoot the burglar. Now, the chances of someone breaking into my home? Slim. But I sleep easy at night knowing that if someone ever tries to harm my family, I'll be able to shoot the bastard who attempts to harm me or mine
