😂 Just remembered this. Night before grad a bunch of us were playing firework tag. A friend jumped into a bush to dodge the on coming fire ball. A branch went into his eye socket and ripped the tear duct. Went to hospital and had it stitched. Half way through grad it re opened. Blood everywhere 😂😂😂😂∞ $ℰℰḲ€ℜ ∞ wrote:

I agree with you, bro. And if we outlawed guns entirely that would happen less. But the problem with that line of thinking is that a gun is nothing more than a tool, like a knife or a bat or a tire iron. OJ Simpson taught us that an "every day law abiding citizen" can crack and if there's no gun around, he can grab a knife and slicey slicey. Ultimately, a gun is just a tool. There's nothing inherently evil about it.✂He kills the guy and his wife. Sorry....but reality prove my point that normal everyday law abiding citizens crack under pressure or triggers and become criminals. You see it on the news everyday.
And unfortunately, the government cannot outlaw evil in humanity. There will always be evil acts.

What kind of gun nut really needs an assault rifle? They are made to kill humans. If your a hunter you use a hunting rifle or shotgun, nobody needs A rifles. I say ban them entirely.
-
Hey calm down I they can't take our guns because 2 amendment but if they try most likely there will be lots of dead Yankees because I am not giving them a single bullet unless it from the end of my gun

In Canada, by law, we can only have 3 shells in the tube at any given time. We can also only have 5 Rifle Bullets in thr clip at any given time.would banning them really make a difference? i can see banning high capacity clips but is the assault rifle itself that much better of a weapon? i dont own any guns abd havent fired one since i was a boy scout so maybe im wrong but couldnt you do a lot if damage in a tight area like a school with a few handguns and a sawed off shotgun? i think keeping any gun out of the wrong hands is more important than keeping one type of gun out of everyones hands.

I am an avid believer that anyone who passes a background check and psych evaluation should be allowed to own firearms. I personally plan on purchasing a pistol in the near future. But I do not think anyone other than law enforcement and military personnel should own assault rifles. For the sake of shooting competitions make a number of these weapons available for rental at local firing ranges. These weapons are not necessary for hunting or protection. I do not personally own an assault rifle but know people who do and they only use them to shoot targets or other objects. I have not experienced any practical use for these weapons outside of war and law enforcement.

@Jeremy B
They are completely practical for me. It's the perfect weapon for hunting wild hog. Why in the world would one hunt hogs? They destroy land at an incredible pace. One well-equipped AR with a laser, flashlight, and any other practical accessory can be easily mounted and manipulated from that one weapon. Most of the people that I know do their hunting at night. Imagine holding a flashlight(or spotlight), a weapon with a sight ideal for minimal amounts of light, and anything else needed for a successful hunt. To simply say they are "not necessary for hunting" is purely ignorant.

But let's be honest, this thread is not going to sway anyone's opinion on gun control and that was not what I was trying to accomplish through my post. I had mainly saw two sides in this debate. The "I love my guns, try to take them away and see what happens" side and the "no guns for anyone" side. My opinion brought a mixture of both of these sides to the table.

Yeah, a more efficient method might be trapping them and finishing them off with a hammer.

It irritates me when people, not Jeremy, simply say that all guns should be taken away as a way to eliminate the evil behind the trigger. I am a school teacher and these shootings hit me harder than most of you can even hope to imagine. I would gladly defend myself and put myself in harms way to protect all 22 of my kids should something disastrous go down in my building. I don't blame the gun, I blame the asshole behind the sights of the weapon.
As someone who carries legally and regularly, I am able to say that my weapon has protected my family from extreme harm and/or worse. If I had not of had my weapon that day, God only knows what may have happened. What so many of you are quick to do is punish the legally carrying citizen who obeys the law.
Without the aid of google, I would imagine that only a handful of people actually know the name of the shooter in Connecticut. But I can be damn certain that almost everyone knows that an AR-15 was involved. My point is, everyone's focus is on the wrong thing.
