Who thinks there will be a ban soon and if so, will they send people to confiscate them or will people who already own them get to keep them?
-
I'm coming to take all of them.
-
I don't think they will ban them, but they will have more laws against them.

Yes, they do need stricter laws. That way every Tom Dick and Harry can't get one.I don't think they will ban them, but they will have more laws against them.

That's all they have in TaftNaw they will just pass more laws.Like requiring a tax stamp per weapon.Who knows? That other school shooting that happened today was done with a shotgun.

Today CNN news interupted the NRA's and Joe Byden's press conference on guns for another school shooting in Bakersfield.
It should be easy to understand we need to make it harder to get guns and ammo. The 2nd amendment doesn't say "well regulated" for nothing.

would banning them really make a difference? i can see banning high capacity clips but is the assault rifle itself that much better of a weapon? i dont own any guns abd havent fired one since i was a boy scout so maybe im wrong but couldnt you do a lot if damage in a tight area like a school with a few handguns and a sawed off shotgun? i think keeping any gun out of the wrong hands is more important than keeping one type of gun out of everyones hands.

As much as I disagree with Obama, he did say he wanted to make meaningful changes. So far there hasn't been a reflexive action taken, which is great. The guns are the tools used, taking them away does not address the underlying issues.
As for a ban, I see the Clinton era ban coming back. I disagree with it completely, but there is such a media frenzy over it I don't see how it could be avoided.

Come and try to take my guns🔫🔫🔫🔫

On a more important note, we should look at how much time our gov. Is spending on this topic. While the recent shootings are tragic, they are not happening at a statistically higher rate than ever before, they just come in waves and the news is making each one larger than life.
Anyways, maybe our gov. Should dedicate their time and resources to something that is an immediate and dangerous threat to us all: the economy and value of the dollar. Just a thought...

I'm not going to get political here, but as a police officer I can say that more laws and regulations will not improve this situation. Criminals are called criminals for a reason: they don't obey the law and dont want to on purpose. This will only make it harder for people who actually follow the law in my view. That and I love my ar-15. 😕

Can anybody tell me how many people were actually killed during all episodes of the A-team show?

Also this brings up a good point. Why are they just going after assault rifles? Next it will be hand guns, rifles, knifes ect ect. But basically the only way to get rid of one gun, is go after them all.would banning them really make a difference? i can see banning high capacity clips but is the assault rifle itself that much better of a weapon? i dont own any guns abd havent fired one since i was a boy scout so maybe im wrong but couldnt you do a lot if damage in a tight area like a school with a few handguns and a sawed off shotgun? i think keeping any gun out of the wrong hands is more important than keeping one type of gun out of everyones hands.

My favorite part is when they source their facts, and not use analogies like YO WE GOTTA BAN FISTS TOO NOW!

More people got killed with hammers last year than assult rifles (it was like 200-300 to like 35ish I'm not exactly sure what they were). I don't think a total ban is necessary, we should limit clip sizes or have background/state of mind tests every few years you have an assult rifle.

"the Federal Bureau of Investigation showed that annual gun purchases increased by more than 60 percent over the past decade, while the murder rate declined by more than 14 percent. We concluded that either "(1) there is no correlation between gun ownership and the murder rate, or (2) gun ownership is negatively correlated with the murder rate"
More guns = More Murders? Part II

Wrong, clearly you didn't look at my link which clearly outlines the FACTS. Okay people I get that you have a right to an opinion, but please do the world a favor and formulate your opinion with indisputable facts. Do you not see how dangerous a stupid person with an opinion is? They let you vote, the least you can do is LOOK for the facts. You are what hinders humanities global progress. Idiots with opinions, that's all I see. If I don't have the available knowledge to formulate a proper opinion, you know what I do? I keep my mouth fucking shut, let the intellectuals figure it out.More people got killed with hammers last year than assult rifles (it was like 200-300 to like 35ish I'm not exactly sure what they were). Q: Are violent crimes more or less common in areas where handgun ownership is higher?
A: Some studies have found that murder rates (not crime rates in general) are higher where guns are more prevalent. But social scientists have not found a direct causal relationship between the two factors.
This question is one raised by both those who advocate fewer restrictions on gun ownership and those who call for stricter controls. The former group hopes to prove that more guns do not equal more crime (or even could lead to less crime due to guns being used for protection or self-defense). The latter group hopes to prove that lower rates of gun ownership mean less crime occurs. But major studies on the topic have not found a cause-and-effect relationship between the two factors, though they have found statistical relationships.

Nothing will ever happen. We live in a violent society.

Do your research, absolutely! Those "fact pictures" floating around on Facebook need to be taken with a grain of salt until they have been found to be accurate. Bad facts just destroy credibility. But taking a back seat is not the answer; unless of corse you have no opinion one way or the other.

Damnit google "gun murders in the states vs canada" first link, yes, it was that hard.
