Then how could he be your favorite? Compared to what? Based off of what knowledge? If I am not mistaken, he had the lowest approval ratings for any president ever.Tweek wrote:

Prove it, and then explain why you chose who you have chosen.

He did complete a big task by getting the House to pass the 13th amendment which must have been pretty hard.
-
theking12 wrote:
How did he do that? He didn't write or submit it, and he had no power over its passage. All he could do was encourage representatives to vote for it. If you want to thank someone for the passage of that amendment, thank representative James Ashley and senator John Henderson. He did complete a big task by getting the House to pass the 13th amendment which must have been pretty hard.

The reason I chose JFK and Reagan is my own business. I suggest you mind your own.

My favorite president is Thomas Jefferson. First of all, of course I didn't know him. I really like his whole "revolutionary" mindset. He was an activist of strong states rights, a small central government, and a smaller military. I think his Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions were pure genius. 👌

And this got out of control faster than I expected. 😞

Nice choice. He was locked inside a grandfather clock to humiliate him after the civil war. I would have shot the man who suggested they treat him in such a way...My favorite president is Thomas Jefferson. First of all, of course I didn't know him. Thanks. And I like your choice in Reagan. His tax cuts after Carter's presidency really helped the US out of a hole. People can say what they want about him, but he was a fantastic leader that rallied a crumbling nation behind him and restored faith in the fact that the future could be bright. I think we need another president like Reagan. One who will tell it like it is without worrying about whether he'll get his knob polished by the media later.E=MC(Hammer) wrote:

John F. Kennedy I feel was probably the last honest President. Ever since he was assassinated every president has told alot more lies than usual
-
FDR he was a very good president. I, of course did not know him but he was elected 4 terms I believe

Think about Washington; he was the first president and most likely the most prominent founding father. He helped shape the basis of our country and was so popular with its citizens that they would have let him be a KING, not just pres and he said no. If I were him I'd take that power that was presented to him.
