Doesn't matter. They wouldn't know if god was good or bad either duh! Terrible answer without evidence.Hebrew Hitman wrote:
They didn't know it was "bad" they knew that god had commanded them not to. Next Question! :)Ok I just about this right now. The Adam and eve story is just that a story. Here I will try and make it simple. First Adam and eve were tricked into eating a piece of fruit from "the tree of knowledge of good and evil."ok so they had no understanding of what good was and what evil or bad was. So how could they have known it was bad to eat that fruit without the prior knowledge of knowing what bad was? Simple logical fallacies surround all these stories, you just have to look at them and question everything. I find that story even as a metaphor pretty ridiculous.

Um hi. I've answered all the questions do far.Oh man another thread on chik-ful-o-crap! How many times do we have to debate this? Not one actually Christian can stand up for this and answer the questions so why can't it be done. Intellectual people believe in things that actually happen according to the laws of nature, you believe that we are all puppets in god's little toy. I don't mind the owner saying what he believes, but when he takes a cheap shot at other people who don't believe like him, then the gloves come off. Didnt he turn out to be gay or something? I'm inafghanistan so I don't see much of news

You know what's funny? I have no idea what chick fil a even is. I also don't understand what that word has to do with gay rights or whatever. I kinda assume it's something in the news or something.
I noticed that thread got big, and some feel mad and junk. Didn't even look interesting.

True statement, except the one person that would have only been a half cousin would have been Jesus. Not full blood relation there as god cann to have sperm by the typically definition people use to define him/her/it whatever.

@ Hebrew about the what was he doing before he created the universe.
It can't really be explained in terms of time, because time is tied to the universe (the space-time fabric) (also which I don't claim to know much about 😜). So he couldve bee doing anything and everything and not have taken any "time" because it didn't exist. -
Wait, how the heck did we get a new debate on a new thread stating how they isn't like the original??? Yeesh.

They knew it was bad alright, God told them they would literally die if they ate the fruit. After God kicks them out of the garden he posts two cherubs with flaming swords at the entrance to prevent them from returning to eat the same fruit which will give them everlasting life. Well, which one is it, God? -

They also don't know if living or dying would be good or bad without the knowledge of good and bad. You guys seem to be missing the very basic concept here. Without knowledge of what is good nothing can be described to them as good and vice versa. If god did that I'd say that an evil shitty thing to do. It's like with young children, they don't know what good or bad is, and if I said don't put that stick in your mouth or you die, do you think that holds validity with the child?glman wrote:

In Judaism and Islam the story of Adam and Eve is quite different. They choose to eat the fruit together and God forgives them so no original sin. Only western religion has twisted it into this bizarre cautionary tale of unquestioning obedience and shame and separation of the sexes.

Check that, Judaism does have a similar views of original sin and women as temptresses, but God does at least have the decency to teach them some survival skills after he gives them their walking papers. In Judaism and Islam the story of Adam and Eve is quite different. What? That makes no since. And if he exists outside of time therefore he cannot inertvene in matters that do exist in time. How would you differentiate between a god that DOES NOT exist and a god that does does not intervene in reality? There would be no way to tell the 2 apart

Go read about hadza culture. It's outside of your god created box of chicken. Might give you insight into what life is really like without the constraints of a fictional character made up through philosophical masturbation.
