The Quest for a 6 Minute Mile
Forums › General Discussion › The Quest for a 6 Minute Mile-

Well, today I have decided that from now on I will do my best to better myself this summer. I figure that if something ever happened, and I needed to protect my family I couldn't in the shape I am currently in. So, this summer my goal is to get to a 6 minute mile. That doesn't sound like much, but for me it will be a lot.
I know this isn't a workout forum, but I have come to consider y'all as an extended family. I am making this post because it is a proven fact that if you write down a goal and have support, you are much more likely to succeed.
I feel like I owe every person who reads this a 6 min mile.
This goal will be honestly the most difficult thing I have done because this will not only take time but it will take determination.
 Let's give some stats:

Today, I did 25 mins of endurance running. I was going for 30 mins, but I forgot to bring water, and the heat out here is like a sweaty wrestler giving you a hug constantly.
-

  25 min is still great!
-

I'll be doing my starting mile later today.
-

Shouldn't you have done your starting mile to begin with? Lol
-

6 minutes flat? Or just in that range.

My best is 8:59, best of luck to you!

Swim a lot too. The lung capacity grows a lot from this and swimming can offer massive cardio if you do it constantly

Doing constant cardio is very tough to do. But it pays off when you see fat people:)

I can hop faster than that.

Also, brown note, unless we are in 28 days later, zombies aren't allowed to run.

Hey Resistance. You know that if that's really your best mile time you would go slower on the next few miles. You can't keep going your fastest forever.
