My best mile and a half was 8mins when I joined the army. I don't run anymore as I'm bulking up now.

Anyone who passes a second grade math class can see I did slow down a little. But there is a reason I'm one of our schools top cross country runners. Sprinting... not so much lol.Hey Resistance. You know that if that's really your best mile time you would go slower on the next few miles. You can't keep going your fastest forever.

Stupid cough and I'm down to a 7:24 mile 😢 -
I run with 25kg vest on up a 150m very steep hill rep it about 3 times plus it's on sand! It's the hardest thing ever,I play alot of football/ soccer ,could do a mile in 6.30 , possibly thinking of coming to the u.s the play soccer any advice?

Resistance. All u did was multiple your time by 3. You didn't slow down according to your time.

Someone get this guy a calculator. If I just multiplied it by 3 I would have essentially a 16 minute 3 mile. That would be f***ing amazing!! -
Bad bean how old are u bro

Running a 6 minute mile is not that hard. It's between a gentle jog and a sprint, feeling more like a sprint toward the end.Trol Scinetist wrote: Who!?
I don't know... Maybe... Everyone on this thread?!Like I said, I did the 2 mile, 12 minute run in formation after only 7 weeks of cushy Navy boot camp. EVERYONE passed it precisely because we were in tight formation. (too embarrassing to fall out!)
After about week 2, running was never a problem. They scream obscenities at you, asking why you stopped running... "Side... Hurts..."
"SO???? IT'S SUPPOSED TO HURT, ASSHOLE!!!"
Well that worked for me!
51 pushups and 60 situps is where we lost some guys, but anyone can run a 6 minute mile. If you can't, you're not running. You're jogging.

1st mile- 9:58
Brown I assign you to verbally abuse me with every failure. -
I'm 13 and get a 6 minute mile

When you run a mile BadBean here's a few tips.
Wear the right shoes. Tight, light, and laced. The right shoes make a difference.
Run on grass. It wears down your calves less and improves your time.
Breathe hard even when your fine. This will allow you to get better blood flow so you wont get tired as fast.
Use all your energy. If u have some left at the end you didn't do your best. I always sprint at the end of all runs to make sure I have it my all.

Yeah I sprint at the end. Its the middle parts that get me. Today, I probably could've gotten a 9:30 or less if I pushed harder in the middle parts. I've always been a slow runner because I get really demotivated towards lap 2 and 3. The last 1/4 is always a breeze because I can say I'm almost there. When you run a mile BadBean here's a few tips.

I think it's definitely a mind game more than a physical limitation for most people.
All it takes is the threat of 2 more weeks of boot camp, and magically, everyone can run fast.
Maybe do it on a motorized treadmill. Stop, and be seriously injured! It will hurt, but you CAN do it! Don't give up. Make it happen!
-
I should give brown note my address so If I mess up he can come beat me in person lol.

Now, I'm sitting more comfortably at a 16:20 two mile.

In Airborne school I did 2 miles in 10:00 flat. I was 5'10" and 150. That was a while ago and can't come close to it now. One thing I learned in Afghanistan is that a fast 2-mile does not equate to a fast ruck. I did 20 miles is 3:98 with a small ruck before. The fastest time I ever saw was a guy who did the same 20 miles in around 2:30!

Drink A LOT of water. It will help you increase your metabolism.
Aim for a gallon a day if you could handle it. -

I ran some of it.... It's not my fault! I'm not an efficient runner ok! It's more leaping forward and hoping for the best. -

We need to take into account that my leg did fall off a couple times... That's at least 10 minute reduction right there.🔰Superyan🔰 wrote:
