When I say true pain, I don't mean a broken arm or a skinned knee. I mean nerves being sliced through, tendons being torn from you body, and your whole back being ripped open by lashes of rawhide.
-
I had a compound fracture in my left fema. Can safely say I've felt nerves being sliced and tendons being torn.
-
Pain is personal and to say what is true pain for you does not apply to another person.
-
So you really feel like you could've endured the pain? Or would you like me to describe fully what would have happened?
And Amish, I think we can agree that sliced nerves and torn tendons is pretty painful (ask Ryan 😜)

Yep. Pain tolerance depends on the amount of hormones present in your body and how effcient the body is at producing adrenalin.Amish Hitman wrote:

You guys didn't get my point. Nobody said that having tendons sliced or your arm ripped off doesn't hurt but for you to say you know how it feels to a person that has had it happened is a crock. I fell 3 stories and broke my back and nicked my spine. I faced not walking again. The thought of not walking and playing ball or possibly not being to have more kids was far more painful than the physical.

Did you know... Females produce a natural painkiller during childbirth. Women are genetically adapted to survive childbirth.🔰Superyan🔰 wrote:

Ahh the useless facts I know! -

I was just going to say that. Though people may make think woman have a lower pain tolerance, their physical pain tolerance is naturally higher than man's. Like Amish said, physical and emotional pain tolerance are different.Sнαdow Wαlкэя wrote:

I've always had this theory about atheists.
We see ourselves as the masters of our domain. We have intelligence like no other species. When we neglect the concept of God, we give ourselves power. It drives our thirst for knowledge and answers. This power is what we crave most. If God is in the picture, that means we have to be responsible for our actions by a greater force.
So, by being atheist, and attempting to disprove God, you give yourself power. Because with our free will, that was given to us by God, we sinned and wanted what God has. Power. -

I'd like to think that I would, but in reality, I really don't think I would. It's hard to know for sure because we'll probably never have to go through with it.Morgan Freeman wrote:
No. I'd just trust my father and die for 3 days.🔰Superyan🔰 wrote:
He asked God if he could not be crucified, of I he could die another, preferably less painful, way. If you were in that position, where you knew you were about to go through so much suffering and pain, wouldn't you also ask if there was an alternative? Then of course, Jesus lived us so much that he doubted sacrificing himself for us in the garden of Gethsemane. He asked for a way out.
Our all loving god didn't want to die so that we could live forever with him in heaven. The divine one, terrified like a human letting a hint of selfishness plague his mind. -

Don't worry about it. It feels like some atheists really do think that though...
I highly stress SOME! Most atheists I know are very nice and tolerant and don't look like they are for that reason. Thx for sharing your opinion. :) -
TW is so awesome, it improved my mood. Thanks to all of Turf Wars! ;D

So the debate goes on and on. Arguments for both sides have been stated much better than many of us can and yet the debate goes on. For those that believe response to the argument is your own pride speaking up to defend what you believe. Put your pride aside. The purpose of the thread was to offer things to pray about. My prayer then is this. I pray for those who don't believe that God will give them the graces they need to believe. I pray that their souls will not be lost and God will grant them his mercy. I ask for you my brothers and sisters to join me in this prayer.

Also, I pray that people don't hate someone purely for religion. Or hate at all.

I got two:
1. Grandma, battling cancer. Won't make it rest of year. 😭2. Me. Got strep throat. Talking difficult.
