A question for vegetarians.

If vegetables are healthy then why do they not taste good in compared with say meat? It's obvious that our bodies will instinctually crave what's good for us so if vegetables were they wouldn't taste nasty. I hold that science is wrong and that meat is the way to salvation

My girlfriends vegetarian, we have had this discussion but she doesn't know :/ she said its just a choice of lifestyle but she used to hate the taste of meats

Although your perspective is flawed. I agree nonetheless. Everyone will benefit from eating steak!
I say... DOWN WITH VEGETABLES!

Meat is the way to go.
I despise vegetables. What annoys me is people who claim they are vegetarian, yet they will eat fish.
Anyone know the logic behind that? -
Veggies are awesome. Lots of cheese sauce. Dipped in batter & fried. Smothered in gobs of butter & salt. What's not to like about veggies?

The human body is not designed to eat meat, we have took cook the meat in order for body to digest. Ive studied this for years and can go on and on, just google it. I have not eatin meat all my life, well except for whatever my parents forced down my throat when i was real young

Wife hates it cause she tries to eat right but her cholesterol is high, blood pressure is high, not me :)

Everything in moderation. Sugar tastes good too, but eating only that will kill you. The human taste buds evolved to encourage humans to eat calorie dense foods, since during our millenia as hunter/gatherer/scavengers, food was a scarcity (and in many climates, extremely scarce during entire seasons). Now that food is overly abundant and physical activity vastly reduced, it is much less wise to eat solely based on what "tastes good".

Did someone say BACON?

Or the lack of taste....either way, shouldn't their body make them crave water if it needs it?

I'm no vegitarian but I do love vegetables and snack on raw vegetables everyday and I have not craved for meat in years though I do eat it on occasion.
That said I crave for raw vegetables more then I crave for meat.

Ironically, this study was just published yesterday:
http://archinte.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/archinternmed.2011.2287“Our study adds more evidence to the health risks of eating high amounts of red meat, which has been associated with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers in other studies,” lead author An Pan, research fellow in the Department of Nutrition, said in a press release. “This study provides clear evidence that regular consumption of red meat, especially processed meat, contributes substantially to premature death.”

Your perspective is flawed. You crave meats and salty sugary snacks for the same reason a smoker craves a cigarette. Years of eating unhealthy foods have reset your natural cravings for nourishment. Go on a water fast for 3 days then taste how sweet a carrot tastes.manicCOOL wrote:

... :P some people can't handle meat in their bodies, it makes them ill, so they're vegetarians by force, and can occasionally eat one type of meat or another, if they don't care if they get sick or not.
