I'm sure there's a few guys here who wanna watch 😂 -
I will concede that vegetables don't have much protein, but they do have other essential nutrients. Vegetarians rely on other foods for protein. Also, how many vegetarians do you see in the ER having heart attacks and strokes and how many vegetarians do you see? It is a proven fact that red meat clogs arteries, leads to high cholesterol, and leads yo high blood pressure. There isn't any arguing that.

I hate meat. Can't eat it.
Then I'm 5 and half stone. I'm 3 stone underweight.
My doctor blames it on my lack of meat. :( -
No siitin on couch today, 70 degrees and sunny :)

I prefer my veg to be preprocessed by a steer - but that's just me. A nice lump of steamed spinach, broccoli or raw carrots is also great but best when sitting next to some USDA prime.
What you eat is up to you. I don't really care or care to hear. I really don't care to hear what others think about my food.
Lastly, being from a 5th generation cattle ranching family who eat beef with every meal but die in 80s-100, it seems that genetics has a lot to do with it.
Enjoying what you eat may matter more that what you eat. Maybe...

What's the point of being vegan if you onlybeat plants to prevent killing things? Just think of that poor tomato, its muted screams in vain when it is plucked out of the ground. Smell the bacon? That's the smell of nature...you got to eat to live. Take a lion, for example. He doesn't think much of killing other things except that if he didn't he would:
1. STARVE
2. Mess up genetic strength with weak links
3. Make the ecosystem go out of balance.See? Killing things is natural....even if you don't kill it, not eating it will only mean that animal died for you in vain.

The lion doesn't give a FUCK about the ecosystem, and knows nothing about genetics -

Didn't the same study say it was ok to eat red meat 2-3 times per week with no detectable adverse health consequences?Ironically, this study was just published yesterday:
http://archinte.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/archinternmed.2011.2287“Our study adds more evidence to the health risks of eating high amounts of red meat, which has been associated with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers in other studies,” lead author An Pan, research fellow in the Department of Nutrition, said in a press release. “This study provides clear evidence that regular consumption of red meat, especially processed meat, contributes substantially to premature death.”

I'm sure I'd rather go full carnivor for the week than full
Veggie -
You need the 3 major macro food groups: Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats.
Healthy Proteins = turkey, chicken, fish, lean beef, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, etc
Healthy Carbs - Brown Rice, Rice, Potatos, Sweet potatos. NOT WHEAT (bad for you read "Wheat Belly")
Veggies - colorful veggies of all typesHealthy Fats - Olive Oil, Nuts, Avocado, etc.
Protein should = 1 gram per body weight, about the same for carbs, and about 1/2 for fats.
+ 8 large glasses of water a day.
-
For those that exercise / workout regularly my above macro counts need to be bumped up in the protein and carb macros.
To the poster that only drinks fruit juices: Too much fruit juices cause blood sugar level and insulin spikes / peaks / valleys. Not good especially for the overweight or those with diabeties or insulin resistance. Therefore only one glass of fruit juice is best consumed per day.

A first that sounds way better is a bacon cheese burger and French fries with every meal. Less boring and bland than havocs choices :)

Hence why there's also no pro sports players that are vegetarian. It just isn't healthy. Eat only meat and you will be strong and athletic. Eat only vegetables and you'll be on the couch watching days of our lives
Haha, not true. Eating vegetarian is a growing trend in MMA. Pretty sure any one of them can kick any one of our asses easily.
