Wrong. Nut citrus and green protein isn't easily absorbed. Not to mention those only carry trace amounts. The best way to get calcium is through almonds, soy, citrus, and greens.

You're an idiot. There has been no correlation between milk and osteoporosis. Actually theres been a stronger correlation shown between nuts and greens as they change the way your body uses proteinGet✯SomeⒼ₡❸ wrote:

You read that right. Milk can cause osteoporosis. Get your calcium and vitamin D from nuts, fruits, and greens and stay away from milk.

I never said that nuts were the best place to get protein. I said they were the best place to get calcium. Hazelnuts, for example have way more calcium than a glass of milk. and by the way too much calcium is toxic in a human body. Ou can actually overdose on many vitamins and minerals including calcium
As far as osteoporosis, milk helps to break down bones(not calcium, but the milk acids that your body sends to the bones, because it is confused about the substance) which exacerbates the thinning. All you have to do is research it if you don't believe me.

There are MUCH lower numbers of osteoporosis amongst groups that are MUCH more intolerant to lactose-asians and blacks for example. People of european, esp. Northern european have greater odds of being able to produce lactase on their own. Hey also drink more milk and have way more osteoporosis. The early studies proved that calcium and vit D help deal with osteoporosis, but it is another fallacy perpetuated by the good people at the FDA and USDA that milk prevents osteoporosis

"Osteoporosis is caused by a number of things, one of the most important being too much dietary protein."
Science 1986;233(4763)
"Countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis, such as the United States, England, and Sweden, consume the most milk. China and Japan, where people eat much less protein and dairy food, have low rates of osteoporosis."

The last two posts of links all quote/explain different studies linking dairy intake with osteoporosis. It is not hard to find the truth you just have to be willing to find an answer that you don't necessarily want to find.

Dear Shin-soo choo,
Did you say something?

There is more usable calcium in a cup of broccoli then in a cup of milk.

Yes, milk from our own species though. Why would we breast feed on our mothers when we are past age as well? And from another animal also.Actually, we are, in fact milk drinkers = mammals. Which is why we actually produce lactose (milk) when lactating after giving birth. An enzyme in our bodies breaks that disaccharide into simple sugars our bodies then further process into a ton of other useful basic biomolecules. Breasts wouldn't make milk if we couldn't handle it. Lactose intolerant individuals are lacking in that enzyme or have it in lower levels. It can be managed in several ways. Some can't drink lactose milk products but it isn't as common as you think or the species wouldn't exist. It's an intolerance. True allergy/anaphylaxis is really rare. Stop googling and go to school. I'd suggest biochemistry/biophysics.

......If you are going to drink milk you should drink raw natural milk from the farmer who raises the cows. Your favorite search engine can do a better job of showing you the blood, pus, feces, steroids, hormones, preservatives, and other chemicals that are in your conventional dairy.
Lol I am a dairy farmer!!!! And just so you know, almost all dairys are family owned and operated!!!!! And no milk with blood, puss, or feces ever leaves the dairy! Also, no steroids, hormones, preservatives, or other chemicals are ever added!!! Our milk is throughly tested several times to be sure!!!!
