That's bad! What if there was a atheist church? Then what? You wouldn't want that.We need a drastic seperation of church and state. You know it's illegal in the state of Texas for an atheist to be in state legislature? I mean cmon!

Here's another seperation issue in the USA. Why the hell in the inauguration does the president swear on the bible?! Right there is a clear violation of church and state and one I the worst kind. He should be swearing on the constitution or the declaration. Not the bible

Atheism means not to believe in god. It isn't necessarily the total lack of religion. The two aren't always dependent on eachother. You can have a religion without a god⌖🔥Belial🔥⌖ wrote:

Haha, B. you won't tolerate what?? I am a Christian and in no way do I want a totalitarian theocracy. And even if I did, good luck not tolerating that. This discussion has gone FAR beyond the scope of abortion. We agree to disagree and that's ok. Since we're not tolerating things now.....I will not tolerate a government who supports abortion and forces me through taxes to support the practice. Jeff, if abortion isn't killing babies then what is it?? Maybe I've missed something. The religious right did it with gay marriage. Wouldn't allow it because it is counter to their beliefs. Prostitution is the same way. And the same is tried with abortion. Too many Christians out there want to rule us in a totalitarian theocracy. Not cool and I won't tolerate such views
-
Well theoretically tax dollars going to abortion or any other charity at the federal level is agains the constitution. The constitution clearly lays out what tax dollars can be spent on and it isn't followed. I ay if things stay the way they are tax dollars pay for abortion. If they follow the constitution then the problem is already solved

If you at all have read what i posted besides you correcting me on the silly egg issue. I concluded its not my decision to make on abortion. Nor will I have a instituion enforce my view. I can express if feel abrtion is wrong, something you don't like to hear.

satanists either think Satan is a pagan god or enki. Tho some see Satan as an archetype rather than being. Which makes those followers of a philosophy. A bit like the Buddhists, not a religion as such as there isn't a god, but followers of a philosopy.slugboy wrote:

I think the word church has become stretched away from its original meaning. I'm willing to guess without looking that there's a church of elvis Presley -

it just boggles me that people can argue and argue while being ignorant of the issues. I've seen 20 posts about paying taxes to support abortion when this is an absurd lie. the people making those claims are either liars or woefully ignorant about the facts of the issue. The Hyde Amendment has been in effect since 1976 and bans federal funds for abortion. The Stupak-Pitts amendment does the same thing in the comprehensive health care law. Your federal taxes cannot be used to fund abortion nor can they be used to purchase insurance which funds abortion. Got it?

Religon is entirely based on the faith of a inividual. God cant be proven to exist but he cant be proved false either. This is an entire different disucussion. Nothing is crazy about a person who believes in freedom, truth, love, uderstanding, and patience. Its crazy too many because they cant see this God. Others which is more understandable dislike religon because of the genocide recorded in its texts. As belial said the mass murder of the cananites. He was right in a sense. My only counter argument to that and its a weak one, is that the canaanites where a wicked people. Not so much justification their, espeacilly when God and christ teach understaing, love, freedom etc.

And that's without counting the faulty condoms."When used correctly, a male condom is about 98 per cent effective. This means that only about 2 in every 100 women would get pregnant in the course of a year. And it's far better than using nothing!"

That whole, "You can't prove he doesn't exist" is the oldest, and worst, argument. I could tell you that you can't prove fairies don't exist and that I believe even without evidence. I sound pretty dumb right now, don't I? If you don't have evidence of something existing then there is an extremely high probability it does not exist rather than existing since there is no evidence proving absolutely something does not exist.Religon is entirely based on the faith of a inividual. Everyone has a bone to pick with any religon. Freedom is essential to its teachings. I dont know if I would be religouse if it wanted to be done with freedom. Read my last sentence, their is slight or if you want to call major cotradictions in the bible. Today people use religon in many ways that go against what they preach. The point god had to kill the canaanites for not worshiping him is very compeling. It goes against freedom. Again everyone has a bone to pick with religon.
