Did the button say attack or capture when you started attacking.

I'm level 17 and just got three turfs capped by someone who is level 71. Is that right?
-
That can happen.

I have the same message. Can someone help.I am getting a message when I get the turf low. "you need an accuracy of 5000 to do this (20037510)". Any ideas?

That question was answered in immediately following the post you quoted. Please read through the entire thread before posting.

I have 60/33 turfs, any chance I'll ever get to make my own turf again? I'm a level 53

Nice revision Charlie...don't think I could have done it better myself. :)
-
Not sure if I missed this or not but has it changed from not being able to cap a turf from a player under lvl25 to being allowed to cap ones turf?
-
Under level 25 has always been able to be capped. Anyone can be capped if all the right circumstances are met. But if you are too high a level or too strong, The Don may step in.

Someone elses turf is inside mine but it doesn't say in close enough?, he is a high enough level...?

Yes he is a higher rank, I can attack him I'm under my daily cap limit > 10% everything, my turf is covering his yet I can't capture him?

Dear Colleagues, after reading what I believe to be most of the threads -- a question about attacking turfs still remains. If you can not capture a turf, why attack it. Is not 1000 miles perhaps too much? In this particular situation, a small time small town capo appears to bully those throughout the NW of the US with no hope of actually capturing any turf. Is it just for gaining experience points? Respectfully, Tarqunio Prisco

i want to be sure about capturing turf: when i look at another player's turf, it says that besides one of my turfs being too far away, my influence is too high. does that mean the only way i can capture his turf is to destroy my own turfs to lower my influence? he only has 18 influence and i want to clear his stuff out. how close do i have to be to capture a turf with 1 influence?

1) Why would you want to "clear his stuff out?" You need multiple different people in an area to make the maximum income per turf. If he is inactive, collect protection $ off him. 2) You have to lower your influence. You can sell off turf upgrades, rather than destroying turf. Once you are done capping, you can raise the influence again; this saves you from having to spend money to plant the turf again.i want to be sure about capturing turf: when i look at another player's turf, it says that besides one of my turfs being too far away, my influence is too high. does that mean the only way i can capture his turf is to destroy my own turfs to lower my influence? he only has 18 influence and i want to clear his stuff out. how close do i have to be to capture a turf with 1 influence?

See CC's explanation of the 10% rule for more details.
3) There is not a good answer for how close you have to be to cap a 1 inf, since it depends on multiple factors of the capper & player being capped. Just plant one as close as you can and then look at the checklist. -
Does a turf have to be present for 24 hours before you can cap it?

"Eh paisano, go easy on this punk - we got plenty of time to rub 'em out. The don gave ***** a little bit of help"
I believe this may be more influence related than combat strength related. And level gap may play a role here as well.
Even though you may have a green light on daily cap limit (and the entire checklist, for that matter), the Don may feel you are too big, and the other guy is too small for you to cap from.
"plenty of time..." = give the guy a chance to catch up, get a little bigger...THEN kick his ass.
Thanks for the help, Charlie.
I've actually run into a situation where the Capo of my city is being protected by the Don from me. He has another 800 influence than I do but I have been capturing a few of his turfs recently. So far about one per day. Any thoughts on that?
-
@Exsanguunator: Sometimes The Don steps in & helps out after level 15. Just because he helps doesn't mean you lose, as you've discovered.
-
I am trying to figure out how the scoring in who wins and who loses is determined. I have read through the entire thread and you mention several times that it is based on your "strength" but I don't have any points in any category called "strength". Do you mean health points or experience points or influence points or some combination of all? If its combined, do you know what the formula is? Which category has the highest effect? Is any element random? How much is random? No use attacking someones turf if you're only gonna get creamed!
-
Each person uses 1 weapon & 1 piece of armor per mob member. The # of mob & how they are equipped determines your attack & defense. You must have more attack then someone's defense to win. There is also a random factor involved, so only nick knows the exact formula.
