There's gotta be more fun way to mob up...

Mobbing up is painful. I have a relatively low mob count, but even my mob was painful to build.
Theres gotta be a more fun way... Perhaps mini-games (even relativey lame games), missions, ANYTHING besides punching codes.
This game has a lot of cool features...real maps, turf domination, missions, loot, vendettas, etc. But having to type codes is just plain obnoxious. Nobody wins with code punching. Negative experience for players, doesn't earn the devs any extra $$$, really, its not good for anyone.
Yes...I know... "stop whining about punching codes", "your 3k mob is tiny, you don't know what mobbing up really is...", "if you don't like it, leave the game", "its the only viable system" Yes, i know all those arguments, but none of those change the fact that punching codes is tedious and a negative experience.
I have yet to find anyone who enjoys punching codes, so why not create something more fun....that would be better for everyone.

Crack a bank safe give you henchies.

Yup...and that certainly helps....but they are few and far between, and 1-3 henchies here and there doesn't add up much in the grand scheme of things.Crack a bank safe give you henchies.

I've gotten 5. And I've never bought henchies and have 50 of them.

What could possibly be more exciting than punching 40k codes into your device. The untold happiness at the other end when u emerge with 8k mob is priceless

No, it's not fun but that's how this game is designed. Sometimes I feel like I'm working for a strange company doing data entry. What is fun and enjoyable is watching your mob grow. This game to me feels personal and it's a game that takes patience. You have to put in the time and effort.

10000 codes punched, only 3k+ mob. I agree that punching codes is tedious and in my case not even rewarding. But it's the only option, so we will just have to live with it. It just means that the game will die once the current big players get bored, that's the natural scheme of things!

Last year top mobsters were 10k and that was amazing. This year its 25k. Next year it will be 50k. My gf quit the game on the first week playing when she realized the exponential growth needed in code punching. She still insists to this day as a game dev that it is not sustainable. Me I locked my inf down to minimum and I am not punching anymore. I have better things to do than punch 30k more codes for a game I play only when I am in the bath/bathroom.
New players come in and realize they need to enter 50k codes...sounds fun

You sound like a broken record; why are you even still playing at all? No, actually it means that new people will become the big players when the current players big players decide to quit. I would see that as a broken record too. It looks like you just copy and pasted that as I have seen the exsact same message in a couple other threads, or at least one.Mystery I am not a broken record, I am providing an opinion and participating in a discussion...unless you have issues with it of course.
I am still here because tw gives me something to do while going for number 2.

No you don t have to be on top but if you want to grow without being destroyed by 25k players you must mob up.
The more you guys grow the more smaller players have to grow hence the exponential code punching. It is a very real issue and unfortunately nobody in the industry of mobile games has had the epiphany solution yet.

And I don t think you are whinning, I think you are trying to protect or argue for a system in which you have invested a lot of time and do not want it removed or changed.
I am more interested honestly in figuring a solution than having arguments about personal preferences. Is 50k punching a valid requirement for new players to be able to rise to the top?
-
It's too late to change it now. Turf wars v2.
Obviosly thus can't be implemented now, but it would have been nice if there was a recruit mob button that used energy and stam. As well certain upgrades would recruit mob for you over a period of time.
But for this to work mob and weapons should not be indestructible. Everytime you fight a percentage of your mob dies based on the strength of your opponent. The winner of each fight would take the weapons from the opponents dead mob. -

Whatever nick decides to do, he must take into account the people that have worked hard to get to the top. I don't think the system should be easy either. I think people should have to work for it. I'm not saying the answer is exponential mob growth. If I had a good solution, I would have suggested it a long time ago.And I don t think you are whinning, I think you are trying to protect or argue for a system in which you have invested a lot of time and do not want it removed or changed.

I don't want people to quit because they look at the top mob leader board & think they'll never get there. I also don't want them to quit because they think they have to be on the top mob board. I set that as a goal for myself the day I started playing, but there are plenty of people that have fun without having 20k+ mob. Unfortunately, I'm better at seeing what wouldn't work than coming up with things that would work.

You said no one wins? Obviously the person punching codes wins because you get mob...

Let's not over think this... More fun is a good thing, and if we could all enjoy mobbing up, why not?
Yes, we enjoy the rewards of mobbing up, but why not enjoy the process as well?

There are unenjoyabpe processes to get stronger in every game I've played. This isn't unique. Just part of the value of hard work means gain. Oh and I've actually grown to like mobbing up. Now someones said it

Certainly every game has things that are bless enjoyable than the core game. But usually it's not quite so painful. For example, old school Final Fantasy, yes, you had to walk around fighting random monsters to level up. Certainly not the most fun task, but at the same time, at least you may get a surprise or two, or at very least an occasional challenge. There are unenjoyabpe processes to get stronger in every game I've played. Don't get me wrong, I like a LOT of unique elements to this game...it just seems like the mobbing up method is needlessly tedious.

Agreed with Barron

Most games I've played with constant mini games to make you stronger get really annoying.

I don't see what the fuss is. It's a bit of a pain but if you want to play the game competitively you gotta punch codes. I've been on this game a few weeks now and I was getting turf capture by a level 75 with 2k mob. At first I thought it was a lot to catch up to but last couple of weeks have been spending 15/20 mins a night punching and I'm now on level 46/47 and have almost 1.7k mob. I'm always checking my mob and it makes it feel worthwhile when u see them numbers go up. Hopefully soon I'll be claiming my turf back, happy days. Though I have since seen how big mobs can get, I'm not put off by it. It's part of game and wouldn't be the same if it was easier.

I fuckin hate punching codes, I agree with you there. But what else are you going to do? I've been capped, shoved out of my city, attacked and bombarded, and what do I do? I punch codes. If you want to succeed, work for it! If that means punching thousands of codes, so what? I'll do it!
