There's gotta be more fun way to mob up...

True, presently you need mob and arm them.
You need sufficient turf to cover upkeep too.
The harsh reality is, punch every code on a website and it still won't get you a big enough mob.
Make mobbing up easier and the bigger players will inevitably benefit too and the gap won't necessarily close.
Instead the big mobs will need more turf to fund a larger army and the small players will suffer.
As I have said, it's more complicated than just mobbing up.

Big enough for what? You don't have to be on the mob leader board to play the game. No one is uncappable. (Although you need a V to cap a few, like Havoc - I think anyways; I haven't tried). But plenty of players with less than 1k mob manage to cap each other. The harsh reality is, punch every code on a website and it still won't get you a big enough mob.
@zinc, just because players have larger mobs than you doesn't mean they will cap you or cap you a lot. Most players I know with large mobs buy turf limit to support their mob. I know plenty of players with mid-sized mobs that have fun - which is the whole point.

@Mystery i think you missed my point im not worryed about bigger players capping me im talking from the opposite of the coin in me capping big players, starting out as new player its not easy from what i seen. I set my self a goal in the game (yeap i do agree its all about having fun mystery) i take over my home village now after playing for a few weeks i find this is not going to be as simple as i thought as these players have large mobs, and im going to have to have a mob to match in size and strenght if im going to make a dent
Im sure this has bound to be cover some time ago, inactive players that have large mobs and arms yet no longer have the turfs to support them most be running in neg amounts couldn't the arms of this players be reduced after all they cant afford them so why should they keep them?
-
@Mys, havoc entering a V makes him an 18k defensively, otherwise a V would be needed.
@zinc, most inactives are small mob and those big mob that did go inactive have 1. A lot of cash banked, 2. Not coming back so don't care. I get what you're saying though.
I have said before and still say there needs to be options made (with limits) that will aide new players in mobbing. The easiest most logical way would to be implement an in-game option to invite players, and I mean from profiles. I still think this is the only solution, nothing else can be done about mobbing, it's just too late now.

Most large mobsters I know of that are inactive & didn't sell their upkeep weapons & armor, have quite a bankroll, as Vadan said. It's tough to define inactive too. There are some that will go months without playing - even deleting the app, but then will come back or just play every now & again. It would hardly be cool if their weapons just started disappearing. Besides, if they are inactive, you can plant more turf than them to take the capo. This (often) means buying don points, which is good for the game.
-
But then there are ones that have no bank roll and are infact in negative amount its simple logical i seen one player inactive for a year as 1,000 plus each on high upkeep weapons and one turf left?

1,000 upkeep weapons doesn't sound like a large mobster. This is an awful lot of complaining simply because you can't take 1 capo from an inactive player by capping them. But then there are ones that have no bank roll and are infact in negative amount its simple logical i seen one player inactive for a year as 1,000 plus each on high upkeep weapons and one turf left?

I agree. Punching codes is junk.
The game should not be based on who punches the most codes in.
I suggested a limit of mob members based on what level your at.
For example mob would be 5x your lvl. And then they use 6x your mob in attach or defence. The gap between the two would then be back fill with defensive upgrade to your turf. But then it also requires the right income upgrades to the turf to be able to afford the best gear for your mob.
If it's planed correctly a low level player could punch through the defence of a high level player. And it becomes a game of maths, and much more than just punching codes in. -

I have done the math based on wow toons who got to level 85 without deaths ie grinding mobs only. It now takes longer to reach TW's mob leader boards than it takes to reach level 85 in wow with grinding only...
I thought you would enjoy this little tidbit.

Make it easie and the problem wouldn't get any better, if anything it make it far worse.
Those who are diligent punches would benefit most, making the gap between large and small greater.
Nick has been changing the Hal ace of attack/defence weapons in the last few updates.
This means smaller players will be better able to attack and win against larger ones.

I commented that it now takes the same amount of time to reach a leaderboard position in TW than it does to grind mobs only in wow. I offered this statistics for discussion and not as an opinion.
I am not making any critics only providing a statistic. You can either as usual shoot the messenger or discuss in a civil manner possible ways to help lift TW's adoption.

You don't need 10 or 20k mob to enjoy the game and be successful... Whatever your size you can use diplomacy and strategy.... You do need to probs get to a minimum 5k though to get the most out of it...
