There's gotta be more fun way to mob up...

In Mmos the devs want you to spend time in the game so you:
- pay a monthly fee to play
- do microtransactions
and other stuff but mostly we want you to play the game.Games that require code punching don t really have you in the game and besides issues my bf posted before, code punching has you on an interface while you are on a web browser. Code punching is not possible alone within the app and that is a flaw.
It is like grinding a rep while on the forums...it is flawed as you are not playing per se you are only spending time outside of the game on an interface that is not a 'game' or even fun for most people.
Code apps turnover of new players is attrocious, you get more resourses usage but less roi for these resources.
You do mot want to discourage/scare new players.
Games within the game are one of the solutions. We started using them in wow with cata (plants vs, uldum etc) amd people like them. They prefer spending 1 extra hour doing something fun then doing 30 mins of boring dailies.

Mini games couldn't work for tw. For one they wouldn't be real min it would be henhmen without limits. It would destroy all balance systems and make the game not based on actual work.but time played. As euro said it would take more time to dp which means no more wars or actual play. Code punching is a bad system but its the only one that could work for tw.

I think people are missing the point :-). Why can't there be a way to mob up which is at least somewhat enjoyable? I have yet to hear someone say "I really enjoy punching codes". Who can honestly say that they would dislike having fun mobbing up.You said no one wins? Obviously the person punching codes wins because you get mob...
Let's not over think this... More fun is a good thing, and if we could all enjoy mobbing up, why not?
Yes, we enjoy the rewards of mobbing up, but why not enjoy the process as well?
-
Not true nailz. 10 minutes a day is all it takes. People just like to butcher's and regardless the system they'll do so
-
First off, punching code is certainly not the most enjoyable thing you can do with your time but it's a means to an end.
Secondly, for me the 15-20 minutes I spend punching a day is actually quite therapeutic as it's probably the only 15minutes in any given day where my time is my own.
Thirdly, if half these noobs spent less time on the forum ... A) there wouldn't be so many crap threads out there - and
B) they could spend their time punching code.If you don't have the time to punch code because you're a troll I'm not surprised you think the game is boring.
Finally, getting good at anything takes time and practice and effort. Mobbing takes discipline for the amount of time you have to spend doing it. All the top mobs did it. Don't expect to go straight to the top. We all started small.

Punching codes is the best way it's hard but it only let's them who truly deserve the reward to reap it
-
It's much better hack.g to work your way to the top. And balance would shift because someone like me who barely gets to play tw 30 minutes a day would get way behind.
-
And honestly who wants to do an annoying stupid mini game o er and over again code ou ving is ten minutes a day. I do.t get the whining
-
I agree that an annoying mini-game would be obnoxious to play over and over again. But mini-games weren't really the point of this thread. It was just one possible suggestion. Really, I'd be ok with a great many options...mini-games,missions, rewards, objectives..any option that keeps me entertained while mobbing up.
My point is not to complain, but rather to:
1) point out the obvious...that code punching is boring. We all know this already.
2) Get people thinking about alternatives. After all, that's why this is a forum....to generate discussion.I certainly didn't want this to turn into a complaining/whining thread. Oh well...it is what it is now.

Thing is code punching is good because the players are real people. This puts a limit on how much you will actually receive. Which keeps the problem of mob size from gettin out of control

There's certainly a valid point. I have absolutely no problem with keeping mob numbers == number of real members that you recruit.
That said however, it doesn't mean that code punching needs to be the method of recruitment.

Imagine you just start playing tw then see that top players are 100k.
Do you accept you need to punch 150k or do you just casually playbthe game and spend no real cash on it?Ingame mini are are very very much doable I can think of about 5 fun games to do with other players were the winner gets a hench and is decided by skills and not strength

I got my first 6k using just the invite forum so code punching in just the app IS possible. I would much rather spend 30 min punching codes than 1 hr of mini-games. I like having real people in my mob. I don't want to have to play some mini-game, plus end up with henchmen from it. :(...Code punching is not possible alone within the app and that is a flaw.

What could possibly be more exciting than punching 40k codes into your device. The untold happiness at the other end when u emerge with 8k mob is priceless

Here is an example:
you look at the map and there is a new drawing on map that shows online phones just for 20 sec. You click the pulsating signal and now fight someone who is annonymous to you. The person fighting knows who you are but not you.
They press attack, you mow have 5 sec to play whack a mole and block those attacks. Round of 20 attacks. Once 20 done winnerbis most attacks successful or blocked attacked. Winner gets a hench.
Here it does matter what your inf or mob number is as it relies on speed and skills.
Attacker does not know who he/she is attacking to avoid exploits with mules. If you ate online anybody in the world can attack anybody...just look at the new map and attack anywhere anytime anybody who just logged in.
New map is a diff one than the current one and only show signals online, imagine is as a new layer on top of turf circles.

Does not matter is what it should read...typing this from hottub lol
inf and mob numb does not matter

I'd also rather punch codes. I watch tv & punch. Having to focus on a mini-game would require more attention for something that doesn't sound fun. I also want real players in my mob, not henchmen.
-
Another issue if all mi. Is hench then there's no hench limit. Think players are intimidated now? Way till theres 10 million mobs walking around when the average mib is 20k. Sounds great doesn't it ?

It looks like you haven't even been playing for more than a day, so I really doubt this is happening to you unless you reset. Plus you haven't even cracked 200 mob, so I doubt there's alot of punching going on there.I fuckin hate punching codes, I agree with you there. But what else are you going to do? I've been capped, shoved out of my city, attacked and bombarded, and what do I do? I punch codes. If you want to succeed, work for it! If that means punching thousands of codes, so what? I'll do it!

One of the things to look at is now that we have airports the bigger mobsters cancome in and take right over. Look at Edmonton for instance. The biggest mobbed member was 13000. Now that the airport has come in the big players are coming right in. Have a look at a town before you put an airport in

They wouldn't have to be hence. Maybe make it like temps where certain new players are selected to be added by a minigame.
