Don't punish loyal players
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Don't punish loyal players-
There seems to be much discussion of deleting stale accounts to even things up.in my opinion if someone has played longer they have displayed loyalty to the game and should be rewarded by retaining inactive mobsters. Would you propose your spouse forget about everything before today and give someone new the same consideration as yourself? No. Maybe after 15 years your boss should look at a new hire for you next promotion, would that balance things out? No, but it would make the new guy happy! Just my 2 cents.

I agree .. But at the same time Nick need to give some room for new players...
-
Keep them! They still give me protection money!

Punishing loyal players have nothing to do with what momo and I have been discussing in these forums. The ONLY reason y players are leading everone else in mom count is b/c they starte the game earlier than the other. Sure, being loyal just means u stayed with it all this time but it doesn't make that person any more loyal than someone like me with 2300 mob. And I will never cath the top ranks no matter how loyal or how much hard work I've put in just b/c I didn't know about the game before the others. I can guarantee that I have invited almost the same ppl out there as Pres Nixon. But I also guarantee u that he along with all the other top mob guys started before me as well. That does NOT mean they have put more effort or been more loyal than I have. They have just been at it longer. I don't know about u guys, but to me, I wonder where the fairness is in that? I can't become the best b/c I started a couple months late???

I think we do need update bad... I dont agree with the suggestion abt reseting or punishing players who are no longer active... However... I do agree we have to reward those who are ...
-
There r ppl out there that are lvl 30+ andhave less than 1000 mob members. THAT is not putting the work into this game as myself and all the top mob guys have. And that is fine, some ppl don't want to type all those damn codes in and don't blame them, but I've typed every code that is available to me, from 4 or 5 websites, forums and I am still a few hundred short of even competing with any of the top mob guys. Any of them could destroy me, even after all the hard work I put into the game and even with a vendetta. I mean, we're talking about a 500-600 mob difference here. U tell me where I can find more mob and I will add it to my own personal excel ss that I have.
-
An to get this straight, we r no talking abou getting rid of these innactive accounts for good anymore. I made that subject post but since then, I have agreed with some of u on it not being fair. It would be unfair. But what about the fairness towards the hardworking, dedicated, "loyal" newcomers?
-
The problem is that there is no actual solution. If you take away the inactives you ARE stealing the hard work of other players. If you limit mob based on level you are also stealing that hard work. The way I see it the stonecold veterans are all getting bored and dropping like flies right now anyway so eventually we are all going to be in their spot. Then we'll get bored and quit as well and new players will rise thru the ranks. I mean it's already becoming a challenge for me to stay entertained. I haven't even been attacked in three weeks and for weeks before that every player who attacked me lost anyway
-
And u do realize widowmaker that if we got rid of inactive mob you stand to lose between three and four hundred yourself right?
-
I think the actual solution is to make atk def as multiplyer.. It reinforce ppl to come back to level up and it is possible for a player with fewer mob to win a fight ... While ppl concern def with more mob might also lost the fight ... In that sense ppl will be more incline in fighting ... Because it isno longer a sure thing ... U never know how the other build the ac ... It is the simplest way to deal with the situation ... A complicated way that reimforce more actions rather than crazy inviting ppl is setting up a family system ... U can invite ur family to ur town in helping u to fight ... And this benefits the game play in two ways ... First ppl can travel to another place (but it should cost 1 84 influence from the guy who invites u) and secondly ppl with fewer mobs can job together ... In order to avoid all the top players join together ... Family can only be formed by i capao (detail should be discussed) but as u can see it is a huge projet ..

The problem with changing ATt and def to multipliers is most long time players were around long enough to read the post I bumped in help and strategy so didn't spend their points this way. I did so I would be all for it but once again the system has to take in consideration the player who have stuck around for the start
-
U r 110% correct. Damn, nevermind then.
-
There does need to be a solution. But it will not be easy and there is no quick fix
-
A mob cap at 2000 with some major changes to the fight system would probably be best. But what changes could balance things out without pissing people off? Also reimburse us players over the cap with 1 or 2 respect points per mob to compensate our lost work
-
Come on now, u don't think I'm aware of that. Of course I will, but "all" that hard work I'm sure it won't kill me. Everyone will get hit. Hey, if u want to look at it this way, how can u use a mob member to fight for u when that person doesn't even play anymore or is taking a break. Honestly, I really don't care how it is taken care of as long as something is changed to where the game doesn't just rely on how many invite codes typed in and accepted. Momo's idea is a good start for more thoghts on that subject. And just like he said, this game has turned into Invitation Wars and not so much Turf Wars.
-
I don't think a mob cap will work. It sux with Mafia Wars, but that game is lvl based as Turf Wars isn't.
-
For one thing, your hidden attk and def points should just be deleted and taken completely out of the game. That is the most useless thing I've ever seen in a game. BUT, if it was to be changed to where it actually is worth a damn then let's look at that, maybe starting with Momo's idea. Either way, change it or get rid of that useless crap.
-
As I've said I'd like to see a solution too. Im getting bored. I'm about the fifth or sixth largest in my stateand probably in the top 25 in the game. There's no challenge anymore but I haven't heard A truly good idea to solve the problem yet
-
I agree there could definatly be some improvements, I just don't support deleting stale accounts. I think changing the att & def would be great, but you should refund everyones skill points which wouldn't be fair either for multiple reasons.
-
There is no perfect solution so we should look for the best proposal on the table ... As far as I can see the simplest way is to change the atk def settings ... And asking nick to provide a reset function may be practically impossible.. Maybe Nick can give out favor pts base on ur level ... It is not the best way insolving the problem but it appears to me it is the most possibke way in making the game better ...
-
Belial u dont find it challenging becos no one is atk u ... When i am playimg imobster I am aloso at the top and feel bored abt the game ... If nick really update the atk and def stuff ... Ppl might try to atk u or even take ur turf ... I believe it will be more exciting to hv some fight rathet than just building things :)
-
I agree momo so far that's the best solution. More weapons r coming soon. That may help as well. Btw I gave an answer to ur q in the help forum that should clarify things for u
-
Make it a multiplyer but give the option to reset stats points for cash or don points.

I don't fundamentally disagree with you here at all, but regarding your example, if I didn't show up for work for a month, then yeah the new guy should get the promotion... Keyword here: inactive.

you have flawed the analogy. The inactive player represents the work not the employee. Older players should not be punished just because someone stops playingSenor Sublime wrote:

How about this...make the att/def stats meaningful & allow a one-time stat reassignment.

I agree with this one. Make it like 150 respect points. The system gets better people keep their mob and Nick gets more money everyone is happy 😋How about this...make the att/def stats meaningful & allow a one-time stat reassignment.

So now let's talk making things interesting & more fair...new weapons won't make a difference cause the bigger mobs are the only ones that would be able to afford them...I'll continue in another post.

Well I'm in top mobsters and I started playin in novemeber...
