Quantum physics- the object is moving, yet still, at the exact same time, until you observe it. How can it be in two places at the exact same time? This defies the law of contradiction. It's either moving or at rest, not both. -
wtf are the laws of logic or w.e

*law of non contradiction*

For those that believe there is an after life, how can you be dead but not dead at the same time? If there are two parts, body and spirit, then what is self? Are we both parts or just spirit? If self is spirit then what is the body? People recognize you based on the physical evidence you exist, they know you as you by the way you sound, smell, look, etc. If your spirit leaves your vessel then what is the vessel? Is that no longer part of self? Or do we exist in more then one form? Does a=a? Or does a=a+b, self=body+spirit? Or maybe a=a+a as both body and spirit are one and the same just different forms of A
-
Kozy, as someone who believes in an afterlife (without going further into detail) I believe the body is a temporary home, if you will, for the soul/spirit/self. Whatever you want to call it that makes me "me" is just at home here for a bit. Yes, my physical appearance is unique and has value but only while I relate to other physical beings. If I were not present in this life I would not need it. I honestly don't know what happens exactly when I die but I believe my spirit/soul/(put your term here) goes on to Heaven (a whole other huge discussion) and my physical body is simply not necessary any longer. Kinda like a piece of clothing--you wear it when you need it, it's your style, but if it's summer you don't walk around with your heavy coat on. We get very hung up on the physical when, in fact, we're going to ditch it if the circumstances are right. It is a vessel. Simply flesh and bone. Doesn't need to be any more or less to the body than that--it's an amazing thing. Don't over think it.

I want to see other ideas on this issue

what if we dont exist though...and were just an thought or ideaof something... what if were designed like the movie final destination. not the part where death comes back for u. but were a sequince. like that?

Hmmm

Simple. It just is.
To make more out of it than that makes us seem like self important mental masterbators. Which most all of us are.

Well that's a fallacy because rocks don't have minds HAHA. If man thought of the concept then it's subject to change thus not making them absolute which contradicts them being a law in the first place₳ʉ₲ʉṣϮḭ₦ê (₳ⓑ€) wrote:

Do you mean that anything that can happen most probablity will happen thus creating a concept that all in future events "it has already happened"?what if we dont exist though...and were just an thought or ideaof something... what if were designed like the movie final destination. not the part where death comes back for u. but were a sequince. like that?

It's a interesting view. But like a lot of thinkers out there, I don't want to talk about what we don't know, rather let's talk about what we do know. You guys want the real "TRUTH"? Here it is:
God or whatever created us or designed us, gave us a powerful enough brain, and complex and dynamic enough environment that we each create our own reality. The funny part of it is, he/she/it didn't give us the ability to know we are doing this so we are constantly trying to explain "our" reality to others... -

The position of the Christian is that mankind suppress that knowledge. Romans 1 says that they made themselves fools. It's not God didn't give us enough information, it's that He gave all the information in existance to discribe His existanceYou guys want the real "TRUTH"? Here it is:

Sounds like many on this thread should try reading some Plato. There are "forms", logic, or laws but we in the practical world are simply watching shadows on the cave wall. 🔫🔫©
