At vadan. Gun crime is over stated. Take Texas they gave very little crim there because everyone is packing. A riot wouldn't last 10 minutes in that state

I mean what options do you guys have? All you can do is wait and hope the government comes up with a solution. You've given up your rights and abilities to handle it on your own.

We all have our opinions and mine is always the belief that people should have the ability when needed to take care of their country and their problems. Not expect the government to do it for them

Yeah, and everyone knows that before the government or even the county decide to send a force in to deal with kids that own nerf guns, they have to have a council. First talk, THEN fight the rioters. Until then, let your country get hurt. No, militia are the best way of dealing with criminals, if people were allowed to have guns in London, then the citizens could have their OWN small army to deal with rioters. Screw waiting for the police.I mean what options do you guys have? All you can do is wait and hope the government comes up with a solution. You've given up your rights and abilities to handle it on your own.

The problem we have is this country is that it's so PC its crazy

riot is a form of civil disorder characterized often by disorganized groups lashing out in a sudden and intense rash of violence against authority, property or people. While individuals may attempt to lead or control a riot, riots are typically chaotic and exhibit herd behavior, and usually generated by civil unrest.

Yeah but you have to consider many aspects. In Texas, as u say, it's common for civilians o have guns, they've had this right for so long it's normal for them, almost part of daily life. When you have a country trying to rid the streets of gun crime, a country that has society where people are not comfortable with owning guns, I doesn't make sense to say "guns would solve this problem of looting" for British I would create exactl the opposite. Something that works for 1 country won't always work for another. We have a different way of life and society to America. Gun crime is zero tolerance here.At vadan. Gun crime is over stated. "Rioters were left virtually unchallenged in several neighborhoods and able to plunder from stores at will or attempt to invade homes." (Fox News)......someone tries or does invades my home, their leaving in a body bag!

"cause ur a pansy ass Faggot" yeah cos gun crime really helps in USA right? It's gun crime that triggered this and you make an ignorant comment like that. Shows your maturity ad understanding of the world around you.
No, it's not gun crime. The riots were already going before the gun crime. The rioters are just using the gun crimes as an excuse to burn more houses down. Honestly, do you think that some 17 year old that decided to go riot and burn down houses are going to care about someone who got shot? -

That's true also brown. But it's not deemed acceptable like in America and other countries. It would only encourage widespread murder here.

Maybe you are right. But I tend to believe that we are all the same, no matter where we live. If people would just start murdering each other, than the society is messed up. It's not the people. What I see is government over there taking too much control, and the people react to the consequences of it. It makes people dependant, repressed, un-productive, more than otherwise in a more free society. Then people seem to think it's just the way it is over there, and you guys are somehow genetically different from other countries. That's true also brown. But really, I think it's just symptoms of a bit too much oppression.

Maybe ur right to an extent brown but what's happening here can in no way be linked or justified with oppressed communities of youths expressing anger. What do 10 year olds running around London looting and vandalising have to feel oppressed about? It's not just youths, it's also parents that have to be held accountable. Everyone has to take responsibility not just the government.

VADAN wrote:
I know these riots have little to do with my point. But parents taking responsibility is contrary to a government that takes on so much responsibility itself. Riots happen here as well from time to time. But they always seem to happen in the most oppressed, nanny state areas, where people are too dependent on local government. Government takes to much control from the people, people become voice-less or desperate, and this happens. It's universal.Maybe ur right to an extent brown but what's happening here can in no way be linked or justified with oppressed communities of youths expressing anger. I don't believe it's because it's a nanny state area - it's because it's a depressed area, where the population is poor and uneducated. They are unable to find skilled work to support themselves because they are unskilled. Until they are educated and trained out of their situation they will just sink deeper into the morass.

I don't agree with Belial on this matter. But I think DuttyMonkey's diplomacy doesn't do the UK any good either. I think for the most part American's like the UK. Probably love the Aussie's more but I didn't know the UK hated Americans so much. I don't like the French because they hate us so much I refuse to buy French products because of this. Now if yer referring to our leaders who really don't represent the majority of American's I can understand your frustration but your comments seem directed at all American's. How American's feel about Guns is a mixed issue. Since our leaders represent the rich and not the average American, I believe social unrest is on the horizon for us. The economy is shot because of this.
