iPhone or android. The great debate

Which is better? Personally I say android. Less rules for their app store so you get more creative apps. Where apple doesn't allow drugs and sex. Am Android device is more customizable where am iPhone is stuck the way it is. Honestly of not for turfwars I wouldn't use apple products. What's everyone elses opinion.

In what way is an Android more customisable?

That's all true about the iPhone/ any apple product. And they are also stupidly priced to expensive really.
But the reason I still prefer The iPhone is because it just makes sense, things work how I expect them too, easy to use and the touch is nice to use and better then anything else I've used out there. -

Yeah. But at the expense of reliability and only by breaking the rules. Also you lose some security with a jailbreak.Belial wrote:

Screen might be bigger But the touch isn't as good as iPhone.
Apple use different technology from everyone else and it's owned by them. -

Matter of fact in a way my android is better. No home button to break. The home button is part of the touch screen

Mm in some cases yes I agree, Iv had it jailbroken almost since the beggining and "touch wood" nothing has failed on me yet. But from factory there isn't much in the way customisation for apple.Add: DBS wrote:

The only known worm in the wild on iPhone was just a simple demonstration that most people that jailbreak their idevices are too ignorant to change the default passwords for the built in accounts after opening up SSH. If you know nothing about basic UNIX security, jail breaking does expose you to more risk.I'd guess 95% of jail breakers don't have a clue what they are doing.
On the debate at hand: Personal preference. I would argue that there are advantages to both platforms.
Has there ever been a fake "Media Player" for the iPhone?
Freedom in computing is a bad idea for some people. Most people, in fact.

I've had enough of apples locked down there way or no way business...when this phone dies I'm going android. Also the iPad pisses me off...
-
Agree with brown. It's all preference
-
I think what it is with me is I like my current Android better than the iPhone. I definitely don't like all android better though
-
I have a jailbroken iPhone 4, there has been nothing I wanted to do that I found I could not. My experience has been fabulous, and find no reason to switch.
-
I would say iPhone. I it has the best touchscreen about there, i like the simplicity and it combines my iPod and phone into one.
-
I just made the decision it go with the Droid X. I ust the iPad wifi for all the fun stuff so I didn't see the need for another apple device. The Droid fit my business needs slightly better than the IPhone did also. Finally, I know the Droid can be used as a mifi hotspot where as I don't know about the iPhone 3 (purchased Droid X before iphone4 was released).
As far as service goes, regardless of platform, I stuck with Verizon because of their unlimited data plan and coverage. My $0.02

droid apps aren't carefully monitored and many of them lack proper valid encryption, making your personal info unsecured over public wifi.
