iPhone or android. The great debate
Forums › General Discussion › iPhone or android. The great debate-
It's been 11 months since I had an Android phone, with that said the only thing I miss is Google Navigation. Sometimes some of the iPhone 4's limitations really annoy me but with all things considered I'm much more satisfied than I was with Android which felt rusty and rushed at the time (version 1.6), on top of that my phone lagged to the point where I wouldn't use it.
However in Android's defense it has come a long way since then, idk about the App Store which sucked big time.
It comes down to personal preference.

For tablets, I like iOS. For phones, I prefer android.
I've tried most all of them and these are my preferences.

Yeah it's a lot better now. I have my second android 2.2 os. The first one a stock android os I didnt really like that much. My new phone has an htc overlay. I like that much better. The app store for droid isn't that bad anymore. 165k apps but has some compatibility issues. I guess it's all in how much you actually need in the way of apps. I tend to like the android games better but that's just me. I like the old fashioned garage made style types of games a lot these days and android has these aplentyIt's been 11 months since I had an Android phone, with that said the only thing I miss is Google Navigation.

Not much of a debate
If you want to buy a phone with the ease and your non techie get an iPhone, if you want to play with custom stuff and have more control and a choice of manufacture choose android -

I have a motorola Atrix, and I love it way more than the iPhone 3GS I had. Way faster, browsing is a breeze, and the fingerprint scanner is a nice addition.

I know what you mean. But where I work, the engineers and server admins have iPhones, and it's the help desk guys that buy android devices. So I'd say there is a trough in the upper-middle range of Androids, but the top use iPhones. Just my observation.Brown🎵POTUS 👊🔨💀 wrote:

Pros and cons. The comments are good too.

Don't ever leave, I'll never get a balanced argument... Are you a lawyer in real life?

What started this debate was someone on pal criticizing my phone choice. Although I like my android better than the iPhone 4 I will probably away stock both OS. Android phone and ipod. Unless Apple releases a.phone with truly awesome stats that can't be beat anyways. If they do that ill dump android. As is I love my thunderbolt. It has a screen just bigger enough and has great stats. I picked it after research and because it was what I wanted. Sure it glitches every now and then. It's crashed twice. Then again so has my jail broken ipod. Both were easily fixed.

ANDROID!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got both hands down an iPhone 4 jailbroken tricked and slicked by myself blow Android away... I'm an Iph0nemasta... Android is getting closer but still miles away... If your not a phone hacker then Android wins hands down...
Just my 2 cents...

Apple lacks a lot in the feature arena but nothing comes close to its ease of use and style.

What a stupid question to ask on an iPhone only app...
95% of people on here are gonna say iPhone because that's whar they have! -
Get speed intensifier for iPhone... Tell me it lacks... IPhone 4 is so de tuned for the consumer... My phone tricked compared to my galaxy zero comparison as for 'just apps' that's the installous side of life... But Cydia is a portal to anything you can imagine... 🚕™

Ha! Apple doesn't allow drugs and sex! Look again, Belial!Which is better? Personally I say android. Less rules for their app store so you get more creative apps. Where apple doesn't allow drugs and sex. Am Android device is more customizable where am iPhone is stuck the way it is. Honestly of not for turfwars I wouldn't use apple products. What's everyone elses opinion.

I've had both. The only thing Android has over iPhone is the google maps app. Everything else on iPhone is better.

Well, in the end, both platforms are awesome. That's all there is to it. Both are enough for anyone. To say one "sucks" while the other is "awesome" is just ridiculous.
Any reason to dump one for the other is probably based on emotion and not need or utility.

My iPhone 4 is THE worst phone I have ever owned. It simply fails in it's main job as a phone. Dropped calls, no signal, the fact that you have to pretty much cover it in bubble wrap to stop scratches. Utter dog shit.
I have my old 3GS, and put side by side with my 4, the 3GS wins hands-down on signal strength and call quality.
Sure the apps are good, but if I wanted just apps I'd get myself an iPod.
Utter, utter garbage wank. Apple is great at style and fails on content.
