it appears to me that the 10% exploit is in no way addressed by this upgrade.

Exactly. People are jumping to conclusions. And a mob limit instead of the 10% would ve horrible. It would mean rewarding those who dint punch amd encouraging not mobbing up.BellaItaliana wrote:

No way. Then players Luke me who already have a very limited selection of captures become way too limited

Why slow down the mob race? The game needs to stay competitive.🔥GOD of WAR🔥 wrote:

How does having to enter 40.000 codes for a new player sounds to you as an interesting competition? If it's 20k now it will be double that next year. A solution is needed to stop the nonsense of having more and more codes. Do you really expect people in 2 years to have to enter 80.000 codes?

I personally will never stop mobbing and never slow down. I've been working far too long at this to throw it away without any reward at all for my hard work.

However players that have invested the time shouldnt be penalised for that effort. Oh what a difficult balancing act Nick has to sort -
Well I'm done. The system is fine and nick hasn't steered us wron with changes and updates yet

It was daunting enough when I started seeing 12k mobs.... Now when people start they see 20k mobs, increasing every day...
But mobs fight in different categories... New layers will fit fellow new players... All I think that needs to change is that large mobs cannot abuse the 10% rule by going malarial. Both DBR and twfc are doing it. I'm not getting into a debate on who started it but because it happened, the other side had to do it to compete... Scrap this rule and let's get back to normal... Yes? -
Here here AmNez it's beyond a joke now
Let's get back to normal -
If I read this change one way then it will be impossible for a large mob player to protect any one sentimental turf from a sniping v attack by a low mob person...unless a layer of protection turfs are deployed.
Read another way, I think the 14th would be a good day to wipe out all players that are less than 2/3 your mob count. That would be an interesting day.

1) I think nick is making level even more insignificant by basing yet another thing on mob size.
2) I think mystery is right - there was no mention of changing espresso shots so it's a leap to think they will change.

Wow, lot of fuss about US v UK English - this is an international game, what about all the players who do not have any form of English as their primary language?I see the problem as one of translation. A wise bloke once opined that that Yanks and Brits are two peoples separated by a common language.
With all due respect nick, the terms of the announcement were expressed in American. Some UK players clearly would benefit from having the announcement translated into English. Problem solved👊❕👍 -

How is level more significant? I don't get it. This change will be fine. Very little will change. The big mons tend to already have a lot of turf so I doubt they will notice much difference in their range. Small mobs will have a little more protection I think and cupcake won't be so handicapped with that huge range. That's about it.1) I think nick is making level even more insignificant by basing yet another thing on mob size.

As far as 10% rule it isn't being tweaked this time. Who knows if anything is in the works.
-
Also i believe all 122 influence turfs will start making more $. Nick says he is adjusting payouts of higher turf upgrades to match lower upgrades. For example: a bagman gives you $911 for every 1 point of influence on the property - whereas a union boss only gives $281.25 for every 1 point of influence he adds to the property. Long story short: my guess is warehouses, gambling dens and union bosses start paying more hourly.

I think the capture change will have very little impact on the game as a whole. I think what is stops is this scenario: player X has 10k mob and all his turfs are at 1 influence to prevent capture from player Y with a 10k mob.Fat Basterd wrote:

In this case level sizes don't matter. Instead, the main factor is having a similar mob size. And not being able to protect 1 inf turfs. -

Everyone is making valid points but we don't know anything for sure except that there is a change coming. So Nick before we all go crazy can you give a clear explanation now

Thanks everyone for your questions and feedback! Here's a point-by point clarification on the rule changes:
- The 10% Influence rule is not being changed at this time.
- Horse heads will take roughly 80% of the target’s current stamina, ± a small random factor. e.g. if a player has 50 Stamina, they will be dropped 40 points to 10 Stamina. Use another and they will drop 8 points to 2 Stamina and so on.
- The minimum capture radius change is intended to prevent bigger players from reducing their turf to 1 Influence to avoid capture. Basically the system will calculate your turfs’ capture radius based on the standard 4 x radius, and a formula based on your total mob (currently it’s based on total # of turf) – taking the greater of the two. Vendetta membership is not factored into this calculation.
- Turf Upgrades: We’re making the lower-level turf upgrades earn more than they did before, to make it easier for lower-level players to get started.Cheers!

Thank you nick. The real nick was freed and the dbr henchman in his place was sent packing. TW rejoice ✊
-
Cheers nick.
And random, do you want to join DBR? You seem to include us into every post you make... A touch obsessive don't you think? 😽 -

Its really amazing in this day and age where people can get a good education and learn argumentation and critical reasoning that you still have people who are unable to read proper English.
Exposing a problem or showing that there is a problem is not the same as complaining about an issue. The constant increase in requirements to input more and more mobs IS a problem. It is like a teacher telling a student about Gravity and being told to go live on the moon if one is not happy. Its a fallacy and does not fix the issue itself.
