My point was that nato without the us is militarily a match for russia. Chinas population is aging quickly and their economy isn’t hitting targets. Their ability to wage a large scale war on Europe across the world is not the same as europes to fight on home turf.Uglyladdie wrote:

But I tell ya, trade me my assets at par for my destroyed Canadian peso, and let me direct my dollars to my own health care coverage and I welcome the Orange man over Justin Castro.
C, you completely ignored my point about the UK and France having a nuclear arsenal large enough to give Russia pause -
KNA you need to read my full messages before jumping in, I’m well aware of this. I’m criticizing the man for campaigning on blatantly false and impossible standards. It shows a lack of understanding at best and malicious manipulation of the public at worst

Viking:
1) Fair enough!
2) The evidence for damage caused by COVID-19 far outweighs the perceived impact of the mRNA vaccines. Regarding suppressing other treatments I’m hoping you’re not referring to drinking bleach or taking horse dewormer, as far as I know the only treatment with any evidence for active infection with any evidence behind it is Paxlovid, akin to Tamiflu for influenza.
3) When you say things like “instead of the most qualified person” it implies that people who are not straight white men are inherently unqualified to hold positions, which is gross. There are plenty of opportunities to go around, not DEI’s fault if one can’t find something.
4) We can disagree on whether any of what he’s doing is good, much less reprehensible, but you’re right that he’s doing exactly what he promised. Just with some lies like egg prices mixed in I guess. -
Orphe,
We’ll just stop talking about Covid because that’s a lost cause I see. I’ll just leave it with I don’t believe you’ve read any of the peer reviewed studies that have come out post-Covid on treatments or protein spikes in vaccine recipients. I’d normally be happy to debate but I don’t need to get all scienced up in the turf wars forum and I’m to deep in that field to have fun arguing it with someone who isn’t.
I have a problem with any quota based hiring. If you say “we must hire 25% people who think they’re dogs trapped in a human body” but then there’s only 3% of the population falls into that category you’re going to inevitably have to make some hires that probably wouldn’t normally be hired because they’re not qualified. This goes for any class, race, sex, religion or any other crap you want to throw in.
Now I’m not saying there’s not very competent people who think they’re dogs living in a human body because I’m sure there are. That’s an entirely different argument.

Can I get a million sent to my son for consulting on your foreign owned energy company. And a few million in grants to select non profits who serve the less fortunate where I have donors whose friends or family are on the board or are no show paid administrators- The media outlets are going under and a few hundred million should go as subscription services to them- that would keep any negative press to a minimum

Trump and his side kick proper showed themselves up in front of the whole world on live tv today.
Again.

Tbf I think the reporters were the most out of touch, for example making comments about Zelensky’s attire when his people are dying and he is trying to save them. The whole thing made us seem like out of touch assholes, and as someone who lives here for the most part our people are. I honestly think this deal will lead to WW3 if Putin doesn’t agree to a ceasefire, and noticed how Trump said the CNN question about what would happen if Russia attacked our workers was dumb when it was my first thought. People better put tik tok down and stop thinking everything is a fucking joke😤 its not about left or right its about right and wrong. Russia broke a national agreement and where the world is today other nations should take appropriate action if a country goes against its word to another.Trump and his side kick proper showed themselves up in front of the whole world on live tv today.

If Trump can get Putin to stand down then awesome, but him not wanting to answer how we would respond to an attack on our workers is suspicious for sure. A) He already knows Putin will have no choice with slight US involvement/Troops from other nato nations, (B) He and Putin already have made an unofficial agreement, but Trump wants this deal

I’m not one to show up in forum often. But I’ve been a part of the UA situation since 2004. Today was a moment which history may well acknowledge as a moment of new epoch. The debate of what was and the future of what is next is to be written. But this day…this moment when the post WW2 belief of self government and inalienable right of individual Liberty is not just challenged but discarded for an equally powerful belief in the supremacy of state, power and economics is of note.

He had his chance. There was a deal in place and he decided to talk shit and be disrespectful instead. He needs our help. We don’t need his. Let Europe deal with that bullshit. Yes I’d rather let Russia take Ukraine than one American soldier die. If he didn’t provoke Russia by trying to join NATO this never would have happened.℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

Those 18 year olds are defending their country. Wouldnt you do the same? You're acting as if the US hasn't sent 18 year olds to die in another country in every war that's ever happened. And as if Russia isn't sending 18 year olds into Ukraine and telling them to kill the people who live there. Why is Ukraine the bad one here? And even then, you're acting like Ukraine should roll over so more people don't die. Why give Russia what they want? So they can try again in a few years and take more? Did you forget about what they did in Bucha? If that happened in the US you wouldn't be saying "just give em a little bit". Rember, Alaska was historically Russian controlled. You don't want to give a war hungry country any reason to think they can get what they want if they kill enough people.⚸яѻɢɛʀ✞тɦǟȶ⛧ wrote:

Unless someone is a direct threat to the US I don’t believe in sending our soldiers anywhere. It’s not that I don’t sympathize with the Ukrainian people. It’s that it’s not our problem. We’re not the world’s police. We don’t owe them anything. You know how much extra the Ukraine government put into their military after Russia took Crimea under Obama? 0. But because of their lack of shitty planning now they want us to bail them out. It’s the equivalent of the government making you take a homeless senior citizen into your home and making you take care of them because they made poor choices during their life.℣į₭ϊ₦Ǥ👹 wrote:

I don’t believe US troops are on the ground or going to Ukraine any time soon . As far as the money goes I believe the REAL # is closer to 125 billion at most . But whatever # you believe there probably- rating the 1980’s and 1990’s Bradley at 2025 prices . So of course that inflates the price tag .
In 1991 the west told Ukraine if they give up the nuclear weapons and most of there long range weapons “‘the west “ would protect them ……
