Absolutely there are some new ammunition for sure . But most is old stuff that we would have to pay to dispose of . Up to last fall 80 % of the ammunition Ukraine recieved had to be taken apart and re installed in something they could use . But it is what it is a used car with no tires and broken windshield is better than nothing

I don't know if I would call it "shitty planning" they have defended themselves well against the largest country in the world invading them. Preserving freedom isn't about preserving freedom only for yourself. If Ukraine gives them what they want what make you think it will stop there, and not grow into something larger down the road when they realize they can roll into a country and claim it as their own whenever they wish and be given what they want? You think he's a dictator, but i see a dude wanting to preserve his country and the freedom of his fellow countrymen. He didn't flee. He stayed with his people and led them. That's what a leader does. Not roll over. He would have to be stupid to step down and hold an election, that could be easily swayed towards russia, in the middle of an invasion. If Ukraine wins and fends them off, and then says he wants to be president forever, THEN I'd call him a dictator.

I get that. We suck at keeping promises. We always have, it’s not new. What I don’t understand is why the people who didn’t bat an eye or cry when Crimea was taken under Obama all of a sudden are Ukraine’s biggest defenders now that Trumps in office. Remember when the left was the anti-war party? Pepperidge farm remembers.I don’t believe US troops are on the ground or going to Ukraine any time soon . As far as the money goes I believe the REAL # is closer to 125 billion at most . But whatever # you believe there probably- rating the 1980’s and 1990’s Bradley at 2025 prices . So of course that inflates the price tag .
In 1991 the west told Ukraine if they give up the nuclear weapons and most of there long range weapons “‘the west “ would protect them …… -

What’s winning? From what I understand if Z came and signed the agreement he agreed to he would have ended the war, kept his country intact with maybe the exception of the Donbas region which is super pro Russia and has tried to succeed from Ukraine anyway. Isn’t that winning? Not for papa Z. He wants to return to pre-2014 borders. It’s not ever going to happen. Crimea is gone.If Ukraine wins and fends them off, and then says he wants to be president forever, THEN I'd call him a dictator.

Why would he sign an agreement to give a piece of his country to the invaders who have killed lots of his countrymen, targeted their hospitals and cities with bombs? This is a great breakdown on the history of the region if anyone wants to understand how this actually started and doesn’t just want to sit here and cry over Russia being mean.
-
@reefer. I wouldn’t agreed to that because we have the advantage there. We could blow those people off the map because Americans tax dollars have given us a strong military.
What’s Z’s other options if the US stops giving him money? Let Putin take the whole country? They can’t “win” without us. The deal was an exit ramp. He chose to continue the war. And let me be clear, I’m fine with that, as long as the US stops supporting it.
-
The US isn't the only one sending weapons. It will hurt them if we stop giving them weapons but it will not be the end of the war. They're not fighting because we're giving them weapons, they're fighting because they don't want their country taken over. Its not putins to take. Again, have you forgot what happened in Bucha? It's easy to take an exit ramp. It's hard to decide to continue a war. But after everything the Russians have done during the invasion, killing civilians and children, rape, torture, etc. Why would they so quickly take an exit ramp thats in putins favor?

What was left out of his speech is that Russia is super limited with available warm water ports. Crimea gives them access for a year round useable port city. Russian navy is limited by their ports being frozen solid a good portion of the year & also creating import/export limitations. More costly to cross borders over land or by air. Purely a economic and military strategic point. -
No crying over Russia. Pound them into submission because they are an imperialistic aggressor, and the good guys won’t stand for that. If you would allow that, soon you might see russia from your doorstep. Once all our previous allies have been gobbled up, don’t think for a second we will be able to defend against the hell China and Russia will unleash against us, and that will be the end. Grow a fucking pair and deal with Russia now.

Most Americans want this war over. Not to put American troops and money overseas to fight a war that’s not ours. Especially for a dictator that refuses to hold an election. Not sure how many Ukrainians you know but the ones I know hate him with a passion and blame him for the war.It was so embarrassing, I fell bad for the 78% of Americans that have to now deal with the mess of these guys
I don’t think you know any Ukrainian’s because I know quite a few and everyone of them supports Zelenskyy 100% and just want to go home.

Most of them will never ever really be able to go home with the plan Trump has for them.

Seems like you Americans forget that it was the USA that told Europe and the uk that we had to hate Russia, this happened on the 12th March 1947.
We did exactly what you asked for, for over 70 years and now you want to side with Russia against Europe 🤷♂️

Pretty much - the end of WWII was the start of the Cold War. US policy was to constrain all communist nations with emphasis on USSR and China- we built bases in every European country that were willing to show force and capability. We also yelled Monroe doctrine any time USSR or China even thought of putting in bases or assisting South, Central American countries in setting up missle defenses- we have nukes and missiles surrounding Russias borders- we have constricted their naval capacity and at the same time threatened them with war anytime they attempt to do the same with us. We went to war in Korea, Vietnam and in the Middle EastSeems like you Americans forget that it was the USA that told Europe and the uk that we had to hate Russia, this happened on the 12th March 1947.

To constrain their influence on a regional and global level. All with full support of our European allies. We play both sides of the fence when it suits our fancy. We have also teamed up with Russia to squash joint threats in the Middle East & against China whether economic or political. What do we stand for ? Is it for democracy over totalitarianism first or is it what is best for us first. We have a very long history of doing the second claiming it is under the values of the first.
-
Not to mention that before USA declaration of war in both WWI and WWII we profiteered via supplies and trade from those engaged in war. At the conclusion of both wars, we took a large share of economic and global political and trade influence as spoils. Those played a huge factor into how USA became a dominant world power- prior to that we did not have the same status
-
Good luck to USA refuelling and replenishing your military in Europe in the near future.

Before World War I, the great powers of the world included Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire. The United States and Japan became great powers shortly afterwards in the early 20th century.
