Given that there’s over a million dead in the war for Ukraine.. If you could go back to the beginning and change your opinion from pro-war to pro-negotiation, would you?
What would be different now if we didn’t prop up this futile waste of human life?

We all have corruption in our governments but what I have learned is that Ukraine is cleaning it up and Russia is not . There a paper tiger but the “ west “ is still afraid of them . I was watching the first night of the full scale war Feb 2022 ( not 2014 ) . And watching Zenelsky asking for weapons not a helicopter to leave . I told my son he’ll be dead in a week ….. now look 👀 2.5 years in and the west drip feeding the Ukrainians weapons and Russia still can’t win and destroying there country.
They may collapse in 2025 just like after Afkanstan -
For years the government worried and even ran simulations as to what would happen if ww3 happens and it’s China and Russia against us. Computer models had shown we would lose. This isn’t about defending Ukraine. It’s about hurting Russia.

How can you simulate a war? You don’t know if one gun will jam and some general will escape or some lunatic will charge a key town and take it with only a few backing him up. People are so hard to figure out.
This is the moral equivalent of asking: “In hindsight, should we have prevented the coronavirus?” Then the answer is “Fuck, no! Kill ‘em all!”
Are these the same people that want a cease fire in Israel?
I think the blue people are far more fucked up than the red people.

“Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say... no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh... depending on the breaks.“

Everyone’s got a plan until they’re hit in the face. A lot of brave / crazy people out there. Eg in the battle of the bulge the Germans were really hampered by one town just refusing to surrender despite being surrounded outnumbered and out gunned. That kind of randomness is hard to predict.Uglyladdie wrote:

I firmly believe if we send a bunch of spinach to Ukraine the war would be over in weeks. They would all just get their big muscles Popeye style and go around smacken them all down

My tax dollars shouldn’t be used to bomb people I’ll never meet. End of story no exceptions. I don’t give a shit what either side is fighting for.

“Blowing russia off the map”- remember folks, always ask the question, “are we the baddies?”— answer is, none of us are in the right here.

I want a vote here, all in favor in sending your sons to world war 3 for Ukraine raise your hand.

We could tell the Ukrainians to get fucked, and Russia will continue to kill and rape and torture, but that doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy at all.

Wars are waged for increasing dominance over economics, resources or ideology or they are responses to defending an assertion of domination of the same. Civil wars, tribal wars, nomadic wars, imperialism and world wars are all for these reasons. US civil war (although directly tied to slavery) was about the north asserting dominance over the south in economics and ideology. WWII wasn’t started or fought over because of the holocaust- it was fought over the axis powers asserting dominance globally to better there economies and take control over the resources of other nations/peoples. Its been that way since the first two cavemen battled it out over who got the drumstick and who got the breast.

Germany invaded and took over Austria & the world said shame on you, don’t do that again. Germany said OK our bad, we will not go any further- then the invaded and took over Czechoslovakia - the world said- dammit we said to cut that out. Germany said, so sorry but the women are hot and the beer is good, World said - OK just don’t do that anymore- Germany said OK. Germany then invaded Poland - initially it was tried to negotiate a peace but those in charge simply realized no treaty would keep them to their word since they have already lied.

The same could be said about NATO expansion eastwards. Which wasn't supposed to continue and then here we are with Ukraine. Plus the leader of Ukraine was overthrown which started the entire conflict. Sounds like Russia did the same thing America has done to justify invading sovereign nations in Latin America, the middle east, etc

No we shouldn't be arming Ukraine. It lines the pockets of the military industrial complex. Destabilizes the global order and pushes us dangerously closer to WW3. People can't afford groceries and rent that live in America, but the government can send over $100 billion dollars to Ukraine. Yea that makes perfect sense
-
The UN and the US did not hold an Ukraine election nor write their independence and Sovereignty. They do, however, recognize the Ukrainian people’s sovereignty and elected representation.
-
So when the lawyers argue over what the definition of is, is, the globe is divided in their ideology of are they or are they not a sovereign nation and let the people of Ukraine show the world what they believe in their hearts what is theirs alone. 💪🏼🍺 Freedom, it is worth everything, if it is desired.

If they desire freedom, perhaps they should turn the water back on for Crimea, and quit with the EU/NATO business. Ukraine’s assurances that they would not join is the only reason Ukraine got freedom to begin with. It’s terrible, it’s awful, but Russia’s gotta survive, too. We would behave the same way. If the west can’t stop poking them, the Cold War is never going to die. No?So when the lawyers argue over what the definition of is, is, the globe is divided in their ideology of are they or are they not a sovereign nation and let the people of Ukraine show the world what they believe in their hearts what is theirs alone. 💪🏼🍺 Freedom, it is worth everything, if it is desired.
