I don’t think I represent Democrats as a whole, that’s a silly generalization. Don’t be the snowflake Steven. I’m not here to coddle you.
I am making judgements based on policies, proposed or passed, as well as rhetoric. It’s clear to me which party has the people in mind (more often).
There is a lesser evil. I’m not saying I’m voting for ideal perfection.

Sure, but your hypothetical question is not based in reality, and decision making is not coming from a single party, a single person, or from a single account. If you truly care about people, you need to vote blue, because believing your candidate give a shit about anyone is a huge mistake.Could you imagine what 5% of the defense budget can do to secure our boarder, create new jobs assisting the homeless and drug addicted people of America?
Yea no, lets go and fund a war for made up reasons.

If we could take a national poll on where most of our defense budget goes, id say it would not be going to Ukraine.
Stop the bloodshed, stop funding endless wars.
Lets also take a poll on who wants to send their sons to WW3. Lets see a raise of hands.

In the 1950’s politicians enacted dedicated funding and regulations to fluoridate drinking water. A true act of protecting people from themselves. It was seen as a way to reduce tooth decay by removing all choice and forcing the public water supply to have chemicals added. Nevermind that fluoride can be received through a balanced diet, from the use of fluoride toothpaste’s (without ingestion) or by supplements or dentist providing fluoride treatments. Now in 2024 it is still being done and a Federal judge has just issued a ruling requiring the FDA take steps to reduce harmful levels of fluoride in drinking water. This was due to evidence of flouridated water decreasing the IQ of children & has been for generations- Should the Govt mandate what chemical additives are added to water or food based on their beliefs or should individuals have the right to decide if the chemical additive should be taken by themselves, by choice, when drinking or eating? What about the babies? Govt is here to protect you!

Blindly following the status quo, by simply accepting the choice in the lesser of 2 evils, is the problem. Idk man it just kinda shows your maturity level if that's how you wanna debate points. You do you tho 🤷🏻♂️

I’m late to the Party here but last time I checked Russia has taken 20% of Georgia 🇬🇪. 20 % of Ukraine 🇺🇦 . Got there fingers in Africa, Syria as well
Bombs hospitals, schools , malls university’s and of course high rise builds in Ukraine.
There’s no doubt that weapons manufacturers are getting rich in all these conflicts.
But in 1991 Ukraine gave up there nuclear weapons in doing that UK and USA said they would protect them .
If we roll over and let Russia take Ukraine what do you think China , Iran , North Korea will do ….
Free pass to take over any sovereign nation . -

God bless - it’s a good thing they didn’t use that student loan debt forgiveness, my masters degree in urban atrocities among those with food, shelter, cellphone+ service and clothing while not being able to afford the lates PS release on top of the monthly hairdressing appointment

If you understand what a budget is, spending your defense budget on disaster relief is not good budgeting, and it isn’t allowed when it’s a government budget.
Remember the time Trump delayed disaster relief for Puerto Rico because he thought he would instead use the money to send undocumented immigrants to Mexico?

Why did 82 House republicans vote to shut down the government, when the only way to respond with hurricane relief is to keep the government funded and open? If you look a few lines lower, you can see which party was in favor of funding disaster relief, among other things. It’s almost as if a minority of nut jobs is trying to hold our country hostage for their radical agenda.

“Ukraine is not ‘the middle East’, and these people aren’t going to fight.“
In light of increased tension in the Middle East and out of an abundance of caution, we are sending a small number of additional U.S. military personnel forward to augment our forces that are already in the region,” Ryder said. “But for operational security reasons, I’m not going to comment on or provide specifics.”

Govt approved budget requires that funds approved for a department are broken down into segments- there are account object code levels and line items within each code level. A department can move money from a line item to another within the same object code but cannot move funds from one object code to another. Funds also cannot be moved from one department to another.
-
An object code is the account purpose such as a specific grant, administrative costs, supplies and equipment or salaries and benefits. So they can’t move money for administrative costs to supplies if they want to because those accounts are not related

Units supporting OSS provide capabilities such as aviation, logistics, force protection and information management, and facilitate theater security cooperation activities such as key leader engagements, joint exercises, conferences, symposia and humanitarian assistance/ disaster response planning.
I don’t even know what you’re talking about at this point. What is your point?

All I gotta say is, life expectancy in America is going down. We live almost 10 years less on average than someone in Sweden. People cant afford so many necessities in life, yet we send billions to other countries. We need to care for our own first. If we dont, then we wont continue to exist. Seems pretty simple to me, but the parties keep us so divided, so we continue to let shit go downhill.
