This article talks about that and multiple other things they are looking at:You guys see the antibody treatment breakthrough that the team in I think California had recently? These were I think the guys that took the work that had been proposed as a remedy for SARS back in 2004 but was dropped when SARS was basically wiped out of existence by an aggressive quarantine and tracking process. Sounds like they test developed 5 different antibodies in hopes one would work and then were floored when all 5 of the antibodies worked. Just caught the tail end of the discussion on this so hopefully more info on it tomorrow

Yea it’s not that I disagree with how Daisy compiled her up numbers. I just believe it stops and goes back down like Italy and Spain have done. To think we’re going to keep going on this exponential growth until June is just silly. We exceeded your prediction for 4/6. We are at 10,871 deaths. 😝
... the day over day infection rate is dropping so hopefully my very simple Excel numbers will start being wrong in about 2 weeks.
I’ll drink to that.

From your link:
“Dr. Michael Baden, a Fox News contributor, said it's reasonable to include the death of someone infected with the virus, who also had other health issues, in the COVID-19 body count.
"In the normal course, autopsies would then determine whether the person died of the effects of the COVID virus, whether the person had a brain tumor or brain hemorrhage for example that might be unrelated to it and what the relative significance of both the infection and the pre-existing disease is," Baden told Fox News.
However, the number of autopsies being performed could be low due to the danger of infection, he said.
"Then you will include in those numbers some people who did have a pre-existing condition that would have caused death anyway, but that's probably a small number," Baden said.”I really like Dr Baden - his autopsy shows are really good.

I don’t think we are over counting, but the main thing is that it needs to be done consistently. If they change the way they count them, then the data showing them going up or down will be meaningless.

Actual Totals So Far:
4/3: 7,404
4/4: 8,451
4/5: 9,616
4/6: 10,871
4/7: 12,841Currently they’re predicting the peak in daily deaths will occur on April 16.

UW model cited by White House cuts another 20k off the death forecast, now at 60k projected deaths. Puts peak in four days and has outbreak mostly over by mid-May

I really don’t care if they’re inflating the numbers... go ahead... if it scares the shit out of people enough to make them stay home then so be it. This will only go away once people realize the virus only spreads when we physically interact. Everyone stays home, virus ends. Pretty simple

Agreed. I feel we should all stay home for the next 18 months like Dr Fauci said. We need to postpone the election until 2022 to keep everyone safe. Since we’re going to extremes, why don’t we just shoot them all and put them out of their misery?

Then, you (meaning everyone) should really read this next article. I had never heard of a “coronavirus truther” before but this article addresses everything that Viking has been bringing up. I feel like I’ve just discovered where his playbook comes from.

Even without exact numbers though, if everyone reports consistently, you can see where the trend is headed - if the numbers are getting higher or lower. That was my point - just looking at the overall trend.Mystery wrote:

Heart attacks are down since carona. I saw you say once that’s great we can use good news like that. Ignorance must be bliss. Paste a few links and you got it figured out. False numbers won’t help your graphs it’s that simple

There’s an app called Plague where you try to eradicate humanity with a disease. A lot of the measures you see on the game are fairly accurate to what you see happening in real life. When it gets real bad they start “bombing heavily infected cities” or “executing the diseased”. I know it’s just a game but I 100% believe this would happen if it got bad enough. Not that corona will ever get there.Since we’re going to extremes, why don’t we just shoot them all and put them out of their misery?

The statistics are becoming more meaningless as we learn how they are classifying deaths. So I’m just using common sense. Which is essentially an opinion, and a unpopular one at this that during point in society.
Calling people who use their brains ‘corona truthers’ is almost as bad as me calling all of you fear porn lovers. Which to be fair I may have done at a few points.

I don’t have it all figured out. My opinion doesn’t matter anyway. It’s the CDC that ends up certifying all the deaths and that takes awhile. On their site it says they usually don’t finalize the year until December. They’re the ones that use the international manual which explains how the deaths get coded. My opinion, right or wrong, has zero bearing on it.

I think you are confusing heart attack (myocardial infarction) with cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest is not usually considered a cause of death, but rather, a result of death. But in most cases of cardiac arrest, a true cause is not sought, and cardiac arrest is listed as the cause.

Clickbait Headline I see this morning: Charlotte Figi, 13, whose CBD journey inspired medical marijuana reform dies of corona virus.
Now let me give you some direct quotes from the article:
“Family was sick in early March but because they did not meet criteria for corona testing they were told to treat at home”
“Charlotte worsened and was tested for the Coronavirus and tests came back negative”
“Charlotte later suffered a seizure (the reason behind the CBD fight to begin with) that resulted in respiratory failure and cardiac arrest”
Source - denver post
This is the bullshit I’m complaint about. It’s not that people aren’t dying of coronavirus. It’s that the numbers are being blown way out of proportion and the media is just adding fuel to the fire.
