Reports now say infant was “accidentally suffocated by its caretaker”. This was Lamont’s statement 2 days ago:
“Testing confirmed last night that the newborn was COVID-19 positive. This is absolutely heartbreaking. We believe this is one of the youngest lives lost anywhere due to complications relating to COVID-19.”
Deaths like this are being counted all over this country. We can’t even trust the data anymore because it’s all about reviving federal funding. This is sick and everyone should be outraged. But you’re not. It’s sad.

Well, uneventful drive from Georgia to NC and back. Walgreens didn’t seem to have any problems locating my wife’s meds or even some albuteral inhalers (lifesaver if you have asthma and ever get a respiratory tract infection). Bit worrisome that no grocery store employees were wearing masks and only one other customer was wearing a mask. Found a box of masks in my shed the other day. Got almost as excited about that as I did when I found toilet paper at the grocery store the other day :).

What reports? List your source, please. This is all I’ve found:Reports now say infant was “accidentally suffocated by its caretaker”.
“An official cause of death remains outstanding pending toxicology results, and officials said it is possible the child died not from the virus but from an underlying condition, sudden infant death syndrome or positional asphyxiation.
The discrepancy stems from differences in the public reporting of COVID-19 cases between the state Department of Public Health and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, officials said Friday.
Public health officials report daily the total number of people who have died and have tested positive for the virus, either before or after their deaths, Cartter said.
But only the medical examiner determines whether the virus or complications it caused actually led to each of those peoples deaths.”https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.courant.com/breaking-news/hc-br

There hasn’t been any consistency with the masks/no masks thing; I know I can’t keep up. Luckily I don’t go out. I have 2 boxes of masks I bought years ago for changing cat litter. They always ride up almost into my eyes. I tried 2 different kinds & 1 kind even has the metal piece to supposedly hold it on your nose.

If you don’t know Owens she’s a staunch conservative. That doesn’t mean she’s not a reliable source. She’s known for taking a hard line on political subjects but she doesn’t make stuff up. Anything she alleges has always been based on facts or statistics. I fully believe you’ll see this backed up in the coming days with a report from the state. I will post when I see that go up.

Rather hole up at home in Florida. Closer to our doctors and a bit better medical care system down there. More so now that Atlanta will become saturated soon. Plus it is only a 12 hr trip to Florida with no need to stop anywhere other than rest stops and a few charging stops. Freeway all the way so just hit autopilot and relax (sort of...I’m still leaving myself in the loop to acknowledge lane changes...and haven’t activated Mad Max mode on lane changes yet :) ).

what do you mean it’s all about reviving federal funding?
This thing is global, seems you’re in your own bubble.
Global economies are currently seeing nothing like this since wwII
our kids will be repaying this debt for decades
I dissed this thing off from the start, buts it’s sinking in that we’re all possibly carriers, whilst many won’t know they have it, they will pass it on to the more vulnerable.
I’m thinking now that this is actually airbourne but authorities don’t wanna publish that as it may scare.
The virus can stay airborne for 3hrs
You know in the cold, when you breathe and see it, the virus is there the same hanging around and takes just 20 molecules for the next person to walk into it and receive it -
@viking

hangs around in the air, just like on a sunny day, you’ll see dust floating around in the air amongst the sun rays in a building, the virus, invisibly will take around 3hrs to settle

Mystery..on amazon check out icolor sun cap fishing hats. One of those with another surgical mask underneath and sunglasses on and you may as look like you are going to rob the place in style :). I bought some balaclava style scarves that pull up over the face a few months ago and they hold a mask tight against your face as well. Basic goal should be like they have in most other countries...if everyone is wearing a mask all the time in public then sick won’t transmit as easily. And no one is self conscious then about wearing one.
-
@ Viking, I don’t care if she’s conservative, liberal, or from another planet. She clearly has her own agenda and seems to have a personal problem with the Connecticut governor.
From the link you posted: “Candace Owens demanded the governor resign for what she says she has confirmed to be a willful “lie...On Friday, Owens posted a video on Facebook in which she claims to have confirmed that the 7-week-old infant died from a terrible accident at home, rather than complications related to the virus...”
Oh well, gosh, how nice that she can confirm these things. I’m sorry, but I’ve never heard of her and she’s not a medical professional, so her word means nothing to me. Maybe she’s right but she isn’t offering any proof.
-
Her vehement posts and behavior indicate that she has a personal stake in calling him out or just getting attention in general. She seems to expect him to answer this barrage questions which should be asked of the ME. Then she tries to be cagey and not give out info “to be sensitive to the family,” but then tweets the supposed cause. If she was truly sensitive to the family, she wouldn’t be using their child’s death for her own agenda.
Currently there’s no proof that infants can’t die from Covid. I’d love to see proof of that. IMO though, mothers should be scared and should err on the side of caution, no matter what age their child is. If this Candace person wants to go out & catch Covid, I say let her, then stick her in isolation. Maybe she should volunteer at hospitals or food banks, or do something useful, since she seems to have so much free time on her hands.

Like I said mystery. I‘ll post the link when it comes out in a couple days. It’s why I didn’t provide one in the first place.
But here’s a prediction based on my own personal “model”.
You will dismiss that too as non meaningful and continue your crusade which at this point is what? To stoke fear and panic? To post every possible bad thing that has to do with the virus but none of the positive things?
It’s odd behavior but not unique to you. Some of us see a 98.4% survival rate and the high unlikely hood of people without preexisting conditions succumbing to the virus as a good thing. I’m truly sorry you don’t. I wish it was lower for you.

there is currently no positive things
Y’all need to stay at home and away from others to prevent this thing from passing on to the more vulnerable -
There are always positive things. For instance- long after this pandemic I am willing to guess that when I go grocery shopping I will no longer have that stanky Neanderthal all up on my back while waiting in line. I will no longer have to pull out my schizophrenic loud and angry voice and fart to get his rank ass to back th F up.

I think Nick should do his part to help enforce the stay-at-home order that has been issued in most areas by having some huge TurfWars event. I’m talking brens, new features, more brens, and 4,000 hench. Couldn’t hurt, right?

At least Biking has the balls to post what he thinks and feels. I respect that more( even if I disagree) than someone who just goes along with the crowd because it is easier for them 👍👊

“Throw your pity party you were wrong. Can’t even admit it”
I acknowledged you were correct. I think I said I was looking for an article to support what you were saying, which I found (Hartford Courant has an article that questions the cause of death but I don’t my link will work).
“No it has nothing to do with me being right.”
It seems like it is to me with the way you “dropped the mic” and asked where are all the people that called you an idiot (which I never did).
I was more upset at that than anything else because that seemed to be a bit much to me...but whatever because “I’m the worst kind of pathetic.”

Yea was a little bit about me being right. I’m kind of a dick. I usually own that. 🤷🏻♂️
Was much more about this fuck lying to new mothers and pregnant women though. If he knowingly did that then that shit is vile. If it was an true accident he should know better.

I don’t have a crusade. I didn’t even know anything about a baby until it was posted in this thread. I won’t jump on the bandwagon to call the guy a liar without proof. I’m not sure how not jumping on that bandwagon stokes fear and panic.
I certainly haven’t posted every possible bad thing that could happen, lol. I have posted positive things too - like the article about vaccines & other possible medical options. I’ve posted about places that are hiring, for those looking for work. I’ve posted about pausing evictions/foreclosures and help for utilities, etc. You seem to be choosing to overlook the things I post that don’t work for you.
-
Yes, I’ve been taking it seriously since the end of Jan, when most players on TW that posted seemed to think it wasn’t a big deal. I’m not sure how you equate taking it seriously with wanting people to die. I certainly don’t want anyone to die. I’d be thrilled if all the deaths stopped now.
Maybe we just come at it from opposite directions. I want people to take it seriously so they are careful and don’t continue to spread it. You want to look at the bright side and give people hope. See now, if we worked together, we’d have both sides covered.
