The mechanics of the game has changed, fighting has changed. Strategy has changed. Some of the big fights in the beginning took less turf and less money. I remember when i thought people using 100 turf to fight was crazy. I remember only having 10 free turf to hop with. I remember not wanting to spend $5 on a iphone game. Things like those seem insignificant now. I have a 1000 free turf and use hundreds to hop and i see no problem spending thousands on this game. And there are plenty that have way more turf and have spent way more than i have. JM is right. Find your place and make your own stories. Try to outshine those that come before you.

Itโs really difficult to just rattle off history simply because everything is history and everyone has their own ideas of what was important and why. There were always big players, docile players, aggressive players, intelligent players and down right stupid players. Big money players came and went. Every time game mechanics got tweaked or changed by Nick there was a culling of the herd.

The game slowly morphed from its origins to a more pay to play style platform. With each new influx of players, accommodations were made to level the playing field but eventually flipped from retention based coding to money grab based coding. This game has been in existence for just short of a decade! That is mind numbing when you consider that the average shelf life of an app game is approx 6 months. While I strongly disagree with the direction the game was taken in, you canโt argue with the success and longevity of what nick has created.

Which player (not affiliated with the app) is the longest active player? (Active most consistently) -
Probably Bella but sheโs not really consistent. Do they have to be playing the map or does social interaction count?

Sabas right people change their playing style all the time they go from active on the map to active in the forums or just doing profile work. Its not easy to say whats active and whats not.
