Is it working at all for anyone else since the update?
Also, if you haven't gotten the iOS turf wars update today, you may want to hold off for a while.

Its by design. Nick has blocked all turf activity for 24hrs. Time to purge. 🤡

It fixed the spottiness of the planting, but added a downside where you could only plant about 30 at most before the classic “Over Google Geocoder limit” message popped up and effectively locks you out of planting any more on it.

When it was first added to Turf Wars in 2011, the Google Geocoder was available with a daily per-IP address limit of 2500 requests. This worked well initially, but as more companies and services began to use the Geocoding API, Turf Wars users have seen a gradual degradation in its reliability as the per-IP limit was used by other services and users on their network.
Google is now tightening the screws on their Geocoding API – based on recent announcements it's highly likely that access to their Geocoding API will be blocked for Turf Wars versions 2.93 and below, starting tomorrow. As a result Turf Wars 2.94 (the latest version) will be the only Turf Wars version able to use the Google Geocoder.
However, there is an additional caveat: this new billing restriction corresponds with a 10x pricing increase, which will likely make it uneconomical to continue to support the Google Geocoder, based on Turf Wars' volume of requests.

Barring any changes to the pricing structure, it's very likely that the Google Geocoder will be removed in a future version, or if there is interest, become a paid feature.

1) Thanks for the heads up that this goes into effect tomorrow, in 24 hours or less basically. I doubt this just popped up to your attention this afternoon, but thank you for the heads up nonetheless.
2) Normally I wouldnt expect to see your information shared here, in a Forum post by a player (its not even a post by MFP Support mind you), but since this does affect game play for players and also poses as a possible additional revenue model for MFP I understand why you posted here, to say it’s posted but also try and bury it til it’s too late for some players.

Theoretically it would be possible enough people pay for premium service and still get the geocoder error right... personally i’d be pissed if i was paying for a service and still got denied.

And whats to stop the other geocoders from following suit and doing the same thing as google? Thats usually how things go. One starts making money and others jump on board.... why cant tw have its own map or geocoder? Why is it depending on an outside source?

Im fine with only one geocoder if it worked correctly. Bandaiding problems buy throwing more geocoders in should not be an answer. Still think this should be an inhouse solution but is probably a lot more work than what its worth. Same with mobcode and temp code websites. Stop depending on others for the basic functionality of your game.

Does it bother anybody else that even with the 2500 limit per IP address, per day; you start getting the notifications that you're over limit immediately, even after not building a turf for multiple days⁉️ What happened to the "limit"⁉️⁉️ A limit implies more than 0‼️‼️ Also disturbingly inconsistent with the given explanation: this problem only started on TW with the update to ver. 2.8. I've been building for others since September of 2016, & only started getting notifications of being "over the google geocoder limit" late last year. Isn't that wierd?🤔💭🤨😒🤷♂️👉😵

I also can't get over the use of the phrase "Updated Google Geocoder to work..." to describe being completely unable to build a turf on the google geocoder. Orwellian, or just an blatant, shameless lie?🤢🤮👉😵
