I hope A&E breaks the contract so DD can go to a different network. I don't watch DD and really don't care what they think or have to say. Same goes for the idiots in other reality shows on other networks. It is interesting to see how ppl get worked up over certain things but not others when religion is involved.

Good point Brizz. What about 16 year olds getting married? Was Miss Kay old enough to consent to that?

No. No, no, no. I have a hard time believing people are this obtuse. No one is upset about his religious beliefs and for the record- you don't know my religious beliefs, so you don't know his are different from mine. It's about the way he phrased his beliefs that make him a bigot. Comparing homosexuality to bestiality is bigoted.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not go too far. Would you really have us believe that you've never looked deeply into the eyes of a beautiful goat, and recognized that wanting look of desire? I find that hard to believe.
I mean, you are technically correct that he hasn't the ability to say "baaaa, come F me, Brizz," using the Queen's English, but I think can we all trust that you know your goat well. -

so mal... if you are sitting in a chair and a dog comes up and humps your leg, you take that as consent and give it the bone?

Also, mods ban people all the time on the forum for speaking outside the tos contract here. You don't know that? Remember OTB?

So I looked up the statements that are in question instead of just taking everyone else's opinion on the subject as fact.
"It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man's anus, that's just me," the reality star said."I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there," he explained when asked by GQ's Drew Magary what exactly he considered sinful, "bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men."

I bet 90% of the people who watch the show share his view. I hate the show, but I also have the choice to not watch it. Let the pissed of rednecks have one less thing to be pissed off about. Give them their duck call show back.

Remember last time GLAAD tried to disrupt a business because of the owners personal view? Chick-Gil-a. One week later, you couldn't sit in the place cause it was so packed with supporters.

It appear to me he's simply stating that those are all sexual sins, I mean really and truly here should the prostitutes be offended? Basically if he's comparing homosexuality to beastiality than he must also be comparing adultery to beastiality and adultery to homosexuality. Why is everyone so geared towards the side of him offending gays? He never directly, or even indirectly, compared any of the three. All Phil stated was that sin is essentially pointless and he went on to name 3 seriously sinful behaviors that are all sexual in nature. People have a bad habit of flying off the handle.

Sure, it's just an opinion. Just like I hold the opinion that this type of religious leader does untold harm to our society with the spiritual guidance he offers to his flock. Thousands of lives are literally destroyed by certain people's inability to face the fact that some good, moral people are and will remain homosexual, despite learning Phil's 'good news' that they are destined for hell, just for loving who they love. This is the textbook definition of intolerance on his part. Many people rightly refuse to tolerate intolerance, others pathetically rush to embrace it. To each his own, but don't pretend these are two equally valid viewpoints. One is a message of hate, fear and exclusion, the other is one of unconditional love and acceptance. Jesus' teachings are very clear about this, not sure why the disconnect.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any discussion on his comments about African Americans. I feel that is the other half of the story. Phil Robertson claims that, from what he saw, African Americans were happier under Jim Crow laws of the 50's and 60's. This has to be as bad as the comments about homosexuality. Lynching and beatings of black men and women for attempting to vote or simply walking down the street. This shows an overall pattern of intolerance.

Wow, what a leap. He talked about being poor white trash and working in the fields along side blacks prior to the civil rights legislation in the 60's. He recalled them singing and being happy. Everyone is so quick to judge someone who wasnt judging anyone. I love how everyone who preaches tolerance are all extremely intollerent themselves and are the first to pile on. Example: read last 4 pages of comments. Will see a theme from the usual suspects.I'm surprised that there hasn't been any discussion on his comments about African Americans. It is much easier to live in a world where those who chose to be or hold some religious beliefs generally keep it to themselves. (except when asked their opinion) Verses the current one where agendas are crammed down everyone else's throat. There is an effort to destroy anyone who dosent agree or believe in the same politically correct views held by these groups. The further out of context the discussion gets the fewer people actually fimilerize themselves with the actual facts. Your freedom to be you includes my freedom to be free from you!
Snarky comment to follow from usual suspects soon. Lol -

Did you even read the GQ interview? He was never specifically asked his opinion on homosexuality. At several points however, he steered the conversation in that direction...cramming his agenda down the GQ reader's throats, so to speak. I also find it interesting that he CHOOSES to be attracted to women because well, buttholes are icky. That's quite strange to me, I never felt the need to choose. I was born to love the ladies, eventually one in particular. No confusion about the matter like Phil apparently has. You hate most the attributes of others that you see within yourself. It is much easier to live in a world where those who chose to be or hold some religious beliefs generally keep it to themselves.
