It most certainly can be balanced. Check the suggestion forum, I updated my thoughts on this feature. To summarize, Drive by cap is more balanced then the current set up. Currently, when I travel, I can come to your town, Drop 100 turf, cover all of your bases, and cap you out of town all within 24 hrs. With drive by capture chances are If someone uses it they are already over limit. So I would only be able to cap one of your bases then wait 24 hrs, then cap everything in range, then wait 24 hrs, etc. It would take days to wipe out a whole area giving the defender plenty of time to check their turf and retaliate if needed. the problem is as you've stated. It kills turf limit. No one would have any need to buy limit anymore. Also as was already stated the disadvantages to touch users are huge.

Sure would make drizzy happy if it were his area that I was invading and he wanted me gone. People would certainly still buy limit to remain mobile and turf hop too. Plus you could buy a drive-by with don points so there still would be revenue for nick. The way things are now I will eventually stop buying limit and get fed up with tearing down to play in new areas which will eventually lead to game over. Drive by cap would keep the game interesting and make the influence leader boards a little more valid.

But a good idea I think is to base cap limit on a percntage of turf limit. Say 25% then theoretically a four player team could completely destroy a rival. Or maybe a bit less say 15-20%

The problem is v there's never a turf cluster at wifi spots at least not that I know of

Right, but having to tear down and buy up isn't going to happen forever either. There is going to become a point where buying limit is no longer an option so basically the game is put on standstill in the areas you are in and thats that.

I agree that driver by cap lowers the chance that players will buy limit but they will not completely stop all together because some if not most will want to be mobile. Another option is to open up drive by capture to only level 100 players. This would motivate players to stay in the game longer and provide a new twist to older more established players that are facing burnout anyway, keeping them in the game while still generating revenue from stam refills and other don point purchases. Thats the way I look at it anyway as a player that is facing these things. I currently do not see myself buying much more limit and tearing down and selling off turf upgrades to play the game doesn't seem like something I will want to put up with forever.

I actually like that drive by idea. I am over my limit and I travel about every month. I can't go selling turfs off because my actually limit is to low to support my guns.

Actually turf limit is the least balanced part of the game, basically it means if you wanna spend money or are a bigger player you will in this game. While if your a noob, the turf limit means that you can never compete

The "tear down", "hopping", etc basically the turf management time sink is the least enjoyable part of this game. The fact that it takes so much time to get mobile/build and balance turf limit in capturing other folks makes me not even want to bother.

I love the idea, it would bring a nice element of surprise and keep players on there toes. But It all comes down to money at the end of the day. Nicks not going to implement this because eventually every turf would be 'shared' and then no ones going to buy turfs... with points... That costs money!.... money! money! money! that's the reason it's not been done, the same as all the other very good ideas. it would decrease nicks revenue, if you could cap turfs on the move would you ever buy any again?? I wouldn't....

Precisely, I would gladly spend 500 don points for a drive by cap that would extend my game play but I am highly unlikely to continue buying limit and I'm sure many players simply don't buy limit as it is. Buying limit admittedly skews the leader boards and makes it so Drizzy has to chase trails all over the map. Where as if a player is over limit and in a contested area they will have to fight like hell to remain there instead of just continuously rebuilding.
Thats not to say that turf limit should go away as it is a valuable part of the game but IMHO players should have the option to buy limit of fight it out in new areas when the arrive.

Speaking of balancing belial, saying as you've mentioned this. To get big in this game you MUST buy a turf limit upgrade. How is that balanced? You can progress through unlocking more as you level...but not half as much as when buying. This feature is the single most one sided element of this game. To become successful - spend money. Shimples.
