Wouldn't that be a person killing the bad guy though? Guns don't kill people. It would have to be a doctor and a gun just sitting there.Mr Big Cat wrote:
I guess that would depend on your viewpoint - if a criminal was about to kill someone and was shot, thus saving that persons life, then would that count?Ski24 wrote:
What's the state for lives saved by doctors and lives saved by guns? Some stats I had to share. There are approx 700,000 doctors in the US. Accidental deaths by doctors per year -120,000 (stats courtesy of US Dept of health & human serv) number of gun owners in US - 80Million. Accidental GUN deaths per yr across ALL age groups -1800. (Stats from FBI). Statistically- you are 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor than a gun. Apparently guns don't kill people - DOCTORS do!😳

The pilgrims left England because they disagreed with religious freedom, not for lack of it or because they were persecuted. The Church of England had begun a policy of tolerance towards other religions such as Calvinism and Catholicism. The Pilgrims, or PURITANS as they were called, believed that English tolerance of other religions was a threat to the PURITY of their supposed one true faith, so they left for greener pastures where their children wouldn't be exposed to other religions.Silly Europeans, you don't understand. We left Europe because the government was controlling the pilgrims lives.

I know right. Guns are big time scary. And don't even get me started on the sound. Sheesh! It hurts my ears. Just the thought of eatin dinner with someone sitting next to me with a gun on their hip concealed under their shirt is enough to make me want to shit myself. Thank about the mess that would make!ƑƦཇཇ☠ཀaʂ٥ท wrote:

On one very specific occasion, my gun on my hip protected myself, my wife, and my kids. Without it, only God knows what would have happened.

You have some things right, but some are wrong. Hitler and Stalin had a non aggression pact in place when Germany invaded Poland. Part of that pact included how Germany and the Soviet Union would divide Poland.Europeans appeased hitler before ww2 by giving him some of land in Czechoslovakia (some germans lived there) and they left him alone when he invaded the whole country. Then he invaded Poland, and he expected to be left alone but Russia had a problem with that.✂
England, and other countries entered WWII, because of the invasion of Poland. The Soviet Union did not officially enter WWII until Germany invaded her in 1941.
That, and my family, and most families who emigrated here, never left England.
My family left Sweden, because they wouldn't let us raid the Scots in our longboats anymore.

Your concealed gun saved you and your family, not an assault riffle you had under your sleeve. -

"We can legislate away evil itself! If it saves just one life, isn't it worth it! To live like a nice, safe, sheep." And twenty million dead American veterans weep.

As with any anonymous forum a lot of claims can be made and without documented evidence are just that. That does not mean they did not happen, it just means they cannot be used to prove an argument. The ability to carry concealed weapons by the general public astounds me, as does the need for high powered multi round artillery. If you like shooting guns join a club and store your guns there. I wonder how many gun owners would have the presence of mind to use their weapon when confronted by a very real danger. Talking about doing it and actually doing it when in that position are 2 very different things.

👆👆👆👆👆People lack to see the big picture. The errosion of our constitution will happen little by little. It's not about the AR or AK rifles .It's about being equally equipped to those who may one day try to take freedoms away. The 2nd amendment isn't about hunting or sporting . There are two types of people in this country sheep and sheep dog. Too many of you want daddy government to defend you and feed you during a crysis.I feel bad for your "educated ignorant hippy ass".We don't live in a world of rainbows and butterflies. I hope it never happens but if war ever comes to our soil.I feel bad for the sheep.
I have to agree. To many people rely on the government and believe what they say.A well regulated militia, being necessary to the SECURITY of a FREE STATE, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

So you're astounded because you think people are cowards, in general? I'm astounded by the gap between us in regards to how we see our fellow man. I trust them to make good split-second decisions. I trust that they'll be brave in the face od danger. I feel criminals are less likely to commit crimes when everyone is armed. You are astounded that the people of this country have trusted the individuals of this country to protect themselves? Seriously? And your opinion is based on the fact that you don't think people are able to draw a weapon to protect themselves? Lol... Ask Free Mason about that. And your argument "Let's take their guns, they prolly won't even use em anyways!" is one with which I feel comfortable disagreeing.✂

It's all about a hobby. If you enjoy shooting an AR then you should be allowed to own one. This "law" they are trying to pass is ridiculous.

Let me put it this way. After Katrina, MY WIFE wanted an AR in case a similar event occurred in our area and we had looters to deal with. I don't give a damn if you don't like it. You want to ban my protection? Come get it. Best of luck to you.

This is what people miss constantly. You're banning the people that abide by regulations from owning something that people will use despite it being illegal. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Criminals willing to shoot up crowds will buy an AR illegally if they really want it. This law won't stop much if anything, as much as we'd like to believe it will.❎❎~REVENGE~❎❎ wrote:

No, I got your point. You want to curb my ability to protect myself in the manner I choose. And you want to continue to steal my money and hand it over to the welfare group so they can pop out even more babies I get to pay for. How about you support them and leave me, my guns and money alone.

As for self defense, assault rifles aren't needed. Pistols kill too. So do shotguns. So do rifles.

Aka the right of regulated gun ownership by each states militia shall not be infringed. We were suppose to have state militias, and less federal government involvement. No standing army was to happen according to our forefathers that created this nation. The state represent the people. If you want to point at the amendment then you have to look at what it historically stood for. And what the NRA preaches isn't it. ;) The erosion of our constitution is not happening because we are taking the regulated part seriously. Says it right there. It's happening because our country has rewritten its meaning.💀༄्ཧ़ཀंེབ།༨ཛყ༄💀 wrote:

Not sure what's worse: the ones arguing to take away other people's rights just because they have no interest in exicuting those rights themselves or the ones who intentionaly swap words around from the bill of rights to try and support thier opinion. It's truly sad that you can't just disagree any more these days. Instead you actually have groups of people ramming thier thoughts and idiot logic down other peoples throats. This hostile attatude of "agree or else" is whats tearing this country appart. There are distinctly two groups now in America. One just wants to be left alone and doesnt want to be hassled. They believe that a person is responsible for thier actions and should suffer the consiquences of thier choices. The other wants to impose thier ideas on everyone else, dictating what you should do, how you should live, what you should make, that you are responsible for everyone elses actions and that you owe everyone else. This is not the American dream.
