I have decades of nuclear and political learnin' under my belt, and I wouldn't even begin to suggest which side is "right".
All I can say is that diplomacy is killing more people in this conflict that a decisive and no-holds-barred campaign would, and it's keeping the "Palestinian" people in the dark ages culturally for no real reason.

Brown Note does have a point though. The effects of fallout are mostly negligible excluding water contamination, and the lingering radiation isn't fallout. Fallout is the lightly radioactively saturated dust that gets everywhere and causes minor radiation.Eric. wrote:

Well, let me try anyway.
A nuclear fission bomb emits an intense UV, visible light, IR, heat, and gamma radiation burst lasting less than a second. This is the radiation that killed people. It only killed/burned exposed people within about 2 miles of the blast point in the case of fat man and little boy. The other injuries were secondary fires and structural collapse. In fact, a young woman radio operator almost directly under little boy survived the blast and lived long into her elderly years.
The heavy element radiation of fallout is thrown miles up into the atmosphere and spread out over huge distances. The remaining airborne radioactive material is a very small percentage of the source material used. Fission splits most of the Uranium or Plutonium into relatively inert elements. It's all but harmless. Ask any Las Vegas resident that survived the massive nuclear testing 90 miles away in the '50s.
Carry on.

I guess this isn't the place for it, though.
If anyone would like to discuss your sensationalist attitudes about nuclear weapons, please PM me. I'll be happy to lay out the info and explain how most popular conceptions of nuclear weapons are irrational, alarmist and overblown.
As far as Hamas, mow them down with the kids they are hiding behind. The Brittish Empire knew how to do it. Crush violence violently.

From a high of 65,000 active weapons in 1985, there are now some 4,400 active nuclear warheads and some 19,000 total nuclear warheads in the world in 2012.
That is what is alarming to me. It is not the outcome of a detonation but who has the weapons and what it means when they are being used. -
As for "mowing down" innocent women and children, I am saddened that someone removed from the conflict can come to that conclusion. I prefer to try to understand both sides and assess it from a neutral, rational, humanitarian and logical position. I can solve every problem in my life without violence and we are all capable of the same things.

Diplomacy has its limits. In fact, diplomacy in this case is prolonging the suffering of everyone involved. Will you consider that? The only way to resolve differences on some scales is simply war. We see it here, and we see it in every major conflict, EVAR. War is ugly, but war can end the horror and allow the losers to get on with life and make better cars than us.

I think that the world could come to war due to instability in the Middle East. Israel, I believe will be the first to be attacked by Hamas. Soon after, Syria and Iran will also join in. At this point, the US would be dragged into the war with the UN. All I see out of this is blood of Americans on sand or the Middle East turned into glass. Nothing good is coming out of this.

Such barbaric thinking. What hasn't worked in the past should work now since we have better firepower. Nope, not thinking logically. Humans are the most adaptable species on this planet with limitless possibilities. Killing each other is not in our future, if you can't see that then you're one of the people who needs to start looking at the bigger picture. It might be a dream, but so was every great accomplishment of mankind. That is what makes us truly distinct, to be able to see what is needed to move forward and how to do it. Better that then plan how to kill each other more efficiently. With glObal access to free information, the world will no longer be bound from the corrupt, probably within our lifetime.

What works in the past is domination. What works in the present is domination.
Imagine a world where every clashing culture fights each other forever. Every limited tactical engagement has no end. You endorse this concept in the Middle East? No, you endorse a model that has never once worked, and DECADE after DECADE, people suffer for it.
If you want progress, dump the magic prophet worship.

Mankind sucks, and that's...the bottom line.
I say nuke the globe and let it try again. 👍

There is no solution!!! Only political acceptable response.
I am not about politics so. I would let Isreal do what they deem necessary and no matter what that is, stand with them. -

i dont see the 2 state solution working. a successful thriving israel does not require a palestinian counterpart because that israel already exists. they just want better security. they already have their wall and are getting better missle defense and attack the rocket sites regularly. a stronger thriving palestinian state does not help hamas/pal authority hold power. they thrive on a message of hate violence and fear. this is why their demands always include something israel will never accept. in the 90's clinton got israel to offer everything plo wanted except for part of one demand. plo said no. they gave too much invested in the status quo. its that or the destruction of israel for them.
-
if they truely want peace give gaza to egypt and west bank to jordan. those govs would then have to control the population or risk war with a supperior foe. also the palestinians would have peace security and economic oppurtunity. this will of course never happen because it would strengthen both parties and ruin the muslims best way of weakening/destroying israel. in the end any solution where israel exists is unacceptable to groups like hamas, hezbolah or muslim brotherhood. and elections show most muslims side with those groups. until this changes there will never be peace except thru domination of one side by the other. sad but true.

That is not relevant. Would it matter "who said" the sky was blue? You wouldn't need the name to verify it. What the quote says is correct and logical. If you hit someone back hard enough, either knocking them out or killing them, you've prevented they're return as an opponent.༎།SཛཀᎢཇΧ།༎ wrote:

A progressive believes that new ways are better ways. Even when they are not. You want a modern, just, and happy way out of this, just like Israel has been trying to give you. Your model has been in play for the last 45 years and it ain't ah-workin. Restraint and forced smile meetings at Camp David were designed to secure conflict in the Middle East, not actually end it; keep political pressures in check so oil flows freely. Now we should stop playing games. End the suffering in the region. The only way to do this hasn't been tried yet. It's called quash the resistance.
Respect history; don't hold your nose up at it. Deep conflict is solved by brutal war. It always has been.
War IS the answer, some times.

But in this case Brown, you'd not only have to kill the Palestinians, the Egyptions, the Iranians, and any other Islamic states/muslim groups who would oppose the genocide you say is the answer, but you'd have to erase their ideology too.
You would also need to eradicate all knowledge of the barbarism used to secure 'peace', to ensure no further dissent from third parties (i.e. all the other nations of the world).
In short, your 'final solution', is poop. -

Brown, you again contradict yourself. The middle east has been the area with the most turmoil throughout it's history. And yet here you are saying we must eradicate the opposing side, WHICH IS WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS! We need to try something new, and killing each other ain't new my friend.
-
And I can guarantee you that one side will never be "squashed" as you so eloquently put it. Isreal has too much money and the middle east has too many Muslims, to put it bluntly.

Leech, you clearly can't grasp this because you believe this is a one sided conflict, one side being the aggressor one side being the victim. Which is what you have been told to believe, not what you have deduced from your own logical and rationale thinking and research. This is a war my friend, not just a rag tag team of terrorists attacking innocents.
