Yea thing is about rules we new to follow the code of Hammurabi since it works and is proven to work in many countries. If child molesters like to rape children then they shall e taped the same way that the child was raped before they are executed.

Your insults are unnecessary and do very little to help get your normally valid points across, I'm really disappointed you think its ok to be so rude to people, I never expected you would resort to name calling.
For this reason I will be less inclined to take anything you say seriously. -
This is one of those topics where both sides can get equally heated. And it's a topic I prefer to keep my opinions to myself on. That being said, I've seen mass quantities of name calling coming from both sides of this argument. In the heat of the moment, tempers fly and people spout off things they would normally not say. I urge all parties involved to take a breather, read their posts, and figure out why things are escalating here.

I'll say it again, this discussion is not about the law. It's how you personally would wish to react should you be faced with such a situation.
All I need say is this:
If I found somebody molesting any of my younger sisters, brothers, nieces or nephews (my first child hasn't been born yet), I would go apeshit. I would pick up the first thing I could use as a weapon, and I would use it on that bastard ... if he died, I honestly wouldn't care.

Getting killed for running over a dog is a valid point.
What happens when you accidentally run over a dog owned by someone who considers the dog family? There are many pet owners like that.
Then assume they decide to kill you over the incident.
If YOU are permitted to make summary judgements on people, why shouldn't you be killed when the hypothetical dog owner thinks it's appropriate?

So to summarize the argument thus far:
The father in Texas accidentally killed someone in an effort to save the life of his child. He then did his best to save the life of the man he beat.
He was not charged, as he was within the law according to a grand jury, and the district attorney agreed.
So:
Most of you relate to the father in Texas, but some of you are willing to take it much further. You would intentionally murder, regardless of immediate threat.
...And you would go to prison for good reason.
What exactly is the problem here?

The problem is the value you place on human life. While I see you view all human life as valuable (which I can appreciate) I disagree. Not only do I see a child molesters life as worthless, I believe it to be less than that. My daughter's life is worth more to me than my freedom or anything else in existence. If society wants to judge me for removing filth like that after harming my child then I say f*** you to society.

Ok, the alternative is living on the run. I assume you intend to have the family with you. I'm not sure how it is in AU, but in Sweden it isn't so easy. Living on the run means your child would not have equal access to schools, medical care, dental care, sporting activities, or health insurance. It would also mean that the child would have to lie about his/her identity, family, and background. It would be difficult for the child to make and keep friends, especially if you'd have to move more than once, perhaps even overnight. The child would also not have access to the therapy they need to deal with the assault. The entire life of the child would be about the thing daddy did to the man that did the bad thing to him/her. Likely the child would take on the blame for the lifestyle you are forced to live when on the run. The constant fear of the authorities would hang over the child every single day. But that's in Sweden...
Maybe in AU you can lead a normal life for you and your loved ones in Turfas house? -
See this is where your argument is flawed! Why do you need to be on the run? Unless you're a dead set moron your kid wouldn't know any better, no one would know any better!! All they'd know is that "John Smith" hasn't been seen of heard from for x amount of days etc etc. You're assuming that every man and his dog would know old mate was a dirty rock spider and he raped your kid. And even if that was the case I'd still murder him. If you do it proper and make sure you're thorough there'd be nothing left to prove he was killed by you or anyone. Who knows maybe the guilt of raping little kids got the better of him and he knocked himself in the middle of the bush and was eaten by wild dingoes? Haha stranger things have happened. 👍

And tbh the way the legal system is down here at the moment. I could probably plead my way down to manslaughter and be outta jail in 5 years. Lay the sad story on them, pretend to show remorse while the whole time telling them how bad I feel for what he did to my kid. Easy peasy. Not a jury in the country who would convict a person for murder after a story like that.
