Oh, yeah. That's totally righteous. Even Steven, I see your point.
If that happened in your family, would you be recorded in the world's most best-selling book EVAR as an example of moral correctness?

You, on the other hand, feel free to state it as fact without evidence.
As for a conscious... Mine sits on my shoulder beating off to women passers-by. Or it's a societal trait beneficial to the evolution of group life, whichever seems more likely to you.

Where is this soul? Christians always bring it up and never have any proof of it. That religion needs to be exterminated, it's so demeaning and meaningless. How dare you support a company that what's to limit the rights of people that are in love, no matter what their orientation is. Hope this company falls flat on its face, then after the money flow stops we will see that it was greed that drove them. For most gays it's not a choice to be gay, it their biology.

And we are just animals that evolved into an intelligent ones, that's all. That's exactly what we are, smart mammals. We no longer need to attribute anything to supernatural jargon and propaganda. The world doe not need a god to explain it, as we humans have done a great job of finding out the secrets of life and the world and universe. It's pointless getting this across to those who like living in the past, beleiving in the same god Adolph Hitler did.

I have no problem with gays getting equal rights whatsoever but why start a fight with religious groups that have been around forever over the right to marry? Why not take the lawfully equivalent of a civil union? IMO its some BS arrrogance of making a statement.... Again just my opinion.

You can't shift the burden of proof. That's a logical fallacy. You say it's there, it's your job to prove it not sciences job to disprove it. You people do that all the time and whether it's lack of knowledge or growing fear that we as a society are moving passed god, but you grasping at straws. If you make a claim, you have to prove that claim, otherwise it should always be rejected.Kevster 🇺🇸💀🔫 wrote:

I love this hell concept. If I'm going to hell for living a pretty good life, yet not beleiving there's a god, I say, " challenge accepted!" but there is no hell or heaven, no after life so it futile to think about really. And it's this behavior that needs to be stomped out.

Why deny them marriage, because of some really old bs. Religion does more harm than good and now it's making front line news as being arrogant. Then maybe someone should right the bill that corrects those things instead of preaching atheist hatred in a game forum...

Religion has everything to do with this actually. What do you think drives the government. Religion has its hand in most aspects of our lives. And they are the ones fighting to keep gays from marrying so it's valid to discuss such shortfalls as it is the main source controlling the government in a sense. But I believe Obama will and should overturn this jargon. I mean he allowed gays in the military which was a huge step towards equality. I see them as equal people, maybe some a little more flamboyant then others but those soldiers I fought next to, no matter if they were gay or straight were my brothers in arms and we looked out for each other.

"There is no heaven or hell" cannot be proven.
It should be said that there is no tangible evidence of heaven or hell, and no reason to believe they exist.

What constitutes culturally acceptable? At this point, there are only 6 states plus D.C. that allow gay marriage. It has been voted down 32 other times since 1998. I think more than once in CA. The people there said they don't want it, so the courts have had to push for it. How is that cultural acceptance? It doesn't mean it's not a valid argument, but:
"Gay" is now culturally acceptable. If you are against homosexuality for moral reasons, you are counter-culture.
Incest is not culturally acceptable at the current time, mainly because of genetic health problems, child abuse, and the natural aversion to sex with your kids.
If at one point it does become culturally acceptable, you will have to come back with new arguments from something other than a bible to back you up. It's not a well documented sin, is it?
-
Idk kev, I respect that the term "marriage" Is a religious thing. Which I am not. Which apparently, most religions don't recognize or accept gay relationships. It's a "sin" lol. Anyways, I don't give a shit what you call it on paper. I want the same options and the same rights as those of different religions then me. Just bc I don't read the bible doesn't mean I don't believe in life long commitment and want the same benifits/respect for doing so. Put it on paper however you want. We will all still consider ourselves married and it will be easier to say so.
-
Semantics my friend, I don't play that game. I say there is no heaven or hell because the people saying there is have not provided sufficient evidence showing it exists. Therefore I can say there is no heaven or hell. Until proven otherwise, the default position should always be upheld. If you say " there are pink elephants flying in the sky" yet show no proof. The default position should be that there are no pink elephants in the sky until proven otherwise.

Brown note- wasnt incest how we all supposedly started from what religion tells us? If it was just Adam and eve, incest would have been the only way to promote the further existence of offspring. Of course I don't beleiving this, but some people do. And in the bible god commands cousins to marry, although I don't believe cousins, even first cousins to be incestuous. If it was accepted thn but isn't now don't you think the bible is culturally flawed, mtherefore nothing in it should with stand time if not everything in it does?

June is recognized by the US federal government as LGBT awareness month. During the month of June, the government pays to distribute information and education on LGBT issues.
One item on the list: It is illegal for the federal government to "discriminate" against an individual that self-identifies as an alternate gender or sexual orientation.
Due to the standing of the federal constitution to apply to the state and local governments on issues of human rights, it is ILLEGAL to deny a civil marriage service to couples based on gender or sexual orientation.
We do not put basic human rights to a vote.
If we phrased the referendums differently, you can be assured that the majority of the American culture believes that gays should be treated equally under the law.

Ya forgot.....this convo is in regards to Christian America.....I mean USA. I'm Canadian so I have no experience in such BS. I'm equal to all those around me.....and religion has no impact or influence in my life what so ever. I feel bad for all non Christians in the US. They are hated on soo badly 😔. I could NEVER live in the US. I'm a stron person now (mentally....and somewhat physically lol) but having a huge percentage of your country wanting you to burn in "hell"......no thanks.
Yeah man, I dream of a day where religion is whipped away and we can live in peace with each other. I like canada, seems you guys never have these issues as we do. But as an out spoken atheist I feel it is my duty to help bring people to reality and passed the times of beleiving of supernatural causes for tangible things. -

Have you ever READ the constitution? It doesn't say what you want it to say. It says CONGRESS MAY MAKE NO LAW. States are not mentioned. In fact, states are given authority over all matters not given to the federation.Gay marriage is only a sin to those who believe it's a sin. We live in a country where our religious freedom is guaranteed by our constitution. Outlawing gay marriage is an infringement on that right, because it is forcing the religious views of a particular group of people on everyone who has different beliefs. You may as well outlaw premarital sex while you're at it.
Now, this guy can state his views on the subject all he wants. That's his right, and I'm ok with that. It's his funding of anti-gay organizations that I'm not ok with. It's bigotry, and I can't support that. Everyone deserves the chance to be happy, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, and homosexuality is harmless.
