running from the scene in fear for your life IS doing something.
✂During the Virginia Tech shooting, two second floor classrooms were at the end of the hall where the shooter was firing. One classroom of folks all hid under their desks. The other classroom had a professor who was a holocaust survivor (those who have witnessed evil are more apt to recognize it). He ordered his students to jump out the second floor window. Some got hurt jumping, but all survived. Of the class that hid under their desks, a dozen died.
Moral: RUN. If you must hide, grab an improvised weapon and be prepared to ambush and fight the shooter.

First off would he have had second thoughts if he thought the People in the theater were armed? Second putting all that armor on to prepare for a shout out with police or whatever sounds good in theory but if he walks across the stage and starts to shoot and mason busts a couple rounds at his ass he is going to loose focus on his plan. And I don't care what your wearing if you not trained getting hit with a slug is going to make you stop what you are doing if only for a short time.

I know someone that was shot in the chest by a 9mm while wearing body armor. (sorry don't know what kind). According to him, it "f'ing hurt" and knocked the wind out of him. He laid on the ground for several seconds gasping for air. Left a bruise on him the size of a dinner plate. Angriest looking bruise I have ever seen.
Seems to me that would slow anyone down especially if you follow it up with many more rounds.

Just saw that on the news. Very tragic. Now 71 injured
-
Watch now they're gonna have body checks and metal detectors at movie theaters because of some phsyco idiot
-
If I was in that situation, I would be overwhelmingly thankful if mason was there with his glock. I welcome good, responsible, people carrying guns. Not weirdos with a boner for the anarchist cookbook like this guy.

Google the Hollywood shoot out. The LAPD officers had to go to a sporting goods store to grab rifles because their handgun rounds were doing nothing to bring down the robbers, who were wearing the same exact body armor and helmets as the evil prick from last night. This is why officers carry long guns now.First off would he have had second thoughts if he thought the People in the theater were armed? I'm a huge supporter of civilians carrying concealed. But in this case, it would've done more harm than good.

No offense my man, but your unique example of your friend is an exception and does not prove the rule. Google the Hollywood shoot out. 9mm and .45 rounds were bouncing off their armor and the officers eventually needed to go with rifle rounds (.223 I believe) in order to defeat the armor.✂

I dont doubt your buddy got the wind knocked out of him, taking a round is crazy - but he wasn't in a life or death gun fight. I've spoken with people who were shot multiple times and it didn't slow them down. It wasn't until after the threat was squashed that they even started bleeding. Believe it or not.

Yeah it was really weird the guy was smiling in his mugshot.

Just carry a Deagle. That will knock the wind outta someone armored.
-
Yeah yeah... It's heavy... W/e

Hahaha definitely my man. If I ever come across a civilian carrying a desert eagle as his concealed handgun, I'm ordering him a steak. Because that's a man move.Just carry a Deagle. That will knock the wind outta someone armored.

We can talk about the effectiveness of handgun ammo against this guy all day long, but that doesn't address the real issue.
The real issue is if something like this were to happen to you, what could you do to increase your chances of surviving? Odds are you won't be in this situation to start with. And if you are, odds are you won't be going up against a heavily armored SOB. So how do YOU choose to prepare? Running shoes? Mace? 9mm? CZ-52 (which will punch through that armor)? .50 S&W? That's your decision to make.
If s_it hits the fan, what will you do? You can't prepare for every situation, but any plan is better than no plan.

Hey! I'm not saying I carry a desert eagle. I'm just suggesting it if you are concerned about armor! I'm not. I cannot be killed by conventional weapons.🌾Khal🌾 wrote:

Why don't you give the option: all firearms must be illegal to wear in public? Or more restrive rules owning the shit? Why should an ordinary citizen be able to buy an assault rifle made for military use? I want to know where the fuck he got the bullet proof vest! Go to a online military surplus, and try to buy one. It will say you have to put in your Government military or police identification to order. Civilians can't just buy them. Which is bullshit. Yeah a criminal with vest are dangerous. But civilians should be allowed to wear armor which is not a weapon freely! I mean nothing about a bullet proof vest are illegal to own. Nylon/kevlar vest. Metal or cerampic armor plates. Plastic fit straps. None of that alone is dangerous at all.

The popular lowbrow website 9gag.com may have a clue as to this morning's (July 20) Dark Knight Massacre at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
According to Blottr.com (which calls itself "Europe's Fastest Breaking News Service"), someone calling himself "JamesHolmes124" posted a dire prediction on the site yesterday.
A screen cap shows the alleged warning, ""Tomorrow I will kill everyone during the new Batman premiere in Colorado - People will die - for the glory of the Le 9gag army!"
View slideshow: Alleged 'Dark Knight Massacre' shooter, James Holmes
The eerie thing about this is the name of the poster and the fact that this was posted yesterday. James Holmes is the 24-year old former University of Colorado medical student accused of shooting and gassing a theater in Aurora, Colorado, killing 12 and injuring 36.Either it is one whopper of a coincidence that a 9gag.com user would have use that particular name 24 hours before the killings made James Holmes a nearly household name.

The photo shows a iconic scene of Nazis watching a film out of the film Inglorious Bastards. Across the photo is a message reading "Tomorrow I will kill everyone during the new Batman premiere in Colorado - People will die - for the glory of the Le 9gag army!"
The post has now been deleted but screenshots were allegedly taken when it was posted 1 day ago. The username JamesHolmes124 also doesn't exist.
It's possible 9Gag have removed the post to avoid causing offence or have been asked to do so whilst law enforcement agencies investigate. Because the post has been removed, it is very hard to tell from a screenshot if the post has been photoshopped. However, some online users of 9Gag have commented on the issue suggesting that the user was known on the forum and sent a warning a few weeks ago.

The shooter is should get given the seat sentence or something. And make it a hanging that everyone can see or something
