Paraphrasing here "I don't need the guv'ment to watch out for me, but there's still Medicare if I need it." exactly, don't "force" me to buy health insurance by taxing me... But make sure I get my medicare benefits.

Bush was given an awful situation, and dealt with it quite well, given the circumstances. Obama opened shop with all the tools and abilities to really turn this country around. But he didn't. Because he spent all of his time blaming bush for things that bush couldnt have helped one way or another. Read up on some of the things the actually transpired while bush was in office, then come talk shit here.
Another bullshit conservative takes the floor once again! Obama lowered unemployment, dimantled al queda, lowered gas prices ( on the rise, but are falling) now tell me that's not enough -
I personally think we should get rid of medicaid and medicare and catch up to similar health care systems other developed nations have.Last i heard people buy health insurance when travelling to the USA,i guess they heard how much we charge for a tylenol at the hospital.😉

It's probably been said in here already BUT I would rather pay a couple extra bucks out of my pay check then worry about having to pay a doctor. My son has cancer and because here in canada our taxes are a little higher I didnt have to worry about money. Nothing was paid out of pocket for any treatment AND what money I did have to spend on prescriptions I was still able to get help from the government to pay for. To go to buffalo to a cancer hospital there just to have them look at his file was 5000$

The problem is insurance! It was originated by Italian mobs after the model of Rome protecting near by citizens. STAY WITH ME PEOPLE Make insurance illegal and medical care cost will come down through competition. We will shop for a doctor like we shop for plumbers. Simplified but think about it.

We get fined for auto ins.
We cant buy a home without ins.It is not perfect but this has taken away lifetime caps. Doesnt take a cancer patient long to reach that $1mil. Pre-existing conditions will not br a refusal of care. Cancer patients, diabetics, high blood pressure with hugh cholesrerol, this affects you too!
Now regulations on ins companies in price mightfix themselves or start tto since the 80%has to go to patient care.
This is a big releef.
And the only political thing i will say is everybody saying we atr trillions in debt and how we will leave this to our kids to pay due to obama iis this............a decade no tactical target in iraq. A war that has ended the biggest thret Bin Laden in Afghanistan. What is the cost?Jaimie out

President Obama is in way over his head. It is a terrible situation our country is in. At this point wish we voted in Ms. Clinton instead. It's just depressing.
Guess what? We already had social healthcare in this country. We have just repainted the lines and raised the costs, AGAIN.
Health care is expensive. Good healthcare is more expensive. A strong economy can afford it. What should be job 1 right now? More social programs, or the opposite: a better economy?
Why are we stagnating now? Good-intentioned social spending draining capital from the market, dragging out the pain.
Didn't we learn ANYTHING from the 1930's? The left thinks it was handled wonderfully. Most economists are rolling their eyes.
I don't really care about left or right right now though. I wish JFK was here. We need a strong leader; not Hawaiian shirt-photo-op guy.
If you think he's doing a good job, I just don't know how to tell you this: you just aren't paying attention?

Best way to fix a lot of the problems is to allow hospitals to refuse care to NON COMPLIANT PATIENTS. When someone is discharged on one shift and comes back less than 48 hrs later because they didn't comply with their diet, why should I give a fats rats ass about them? Why should the hospital be forced to care for them when they don't care for themselves? The tax payer pays for these idiots to continually go round and round. I had one last night that left AMA and was back 2 days later with same complaint. Guess who gets burned by his first visit? The hospital because insurance isn't going to pay for AMA and he isn't gonna pay. This visit, insurance should cover if he stays, if I'm not mistaken.
