I agree but only when the patient has the funds to pay for the abortion. If the person lacks the funds then yesAlso, financial responsibility for the abortion should be up to patient, not the tax payer.

Religion should play absolutely no role in legislation. Abortions aren't against my religious beliefs, so outlawing them completely is a violation of my religious rights.

Please tell me!!! Which religion requires abortions? I have the freedom of religion, and that tax would oppress it.MickTheMole wrote:

Legislation should play no role in religion

I see another good argument up, in regards to cost. To those who disagree with paying for abortion do you smoke? Doesn't your taxes go towards victims of cancer from smoking? I'm Canadian Sony taxes do....but I smoke sooo ya haha. But if you hate smoking as it kills, are you also against paying for smokers health bills? Just curious please don't hate me. I'm honestly asking nicely and would just love to know your opinions.

I don't practice any religion. By outlawing it, you're forcing me to abide by a religion I don't follow. Which is a violation of my religious freedom.
-
Now this turned to religion? That is an even slipperiest slope ladies and gents and I am not getting Ito this lol I value my turf too much haha let's just say we all live with reason and respect what others decide to do with their lives.

I would just like to quote myself at the momentUnder numerous U.N. Ordinances each human being has the right to live and the right to freedom you must also think on this the question on whether the embryo is alive or not is canceled by the ordinance saying that a human being has a right to live though in some peoples opinions they are not alive they are still human beings meaning that they have the right to live also an easy solution is for the embryo to be developed in the lab after conception this would solve the problem on the chance that the woman could die since she would not be giving birth

Ah, when you said dev'ping in a lab, I thought you meant test tube babies. That method is typically used when a couple WANTS to have a baby, but is unable. Different case.De Rick wrote:
Recently I'd seen that advancements in artificial embryonic development had been made where it was made possible for a woman to have another man and another woman's babyIn fact having the embryo develop in a lab is much safer than with the woman everyone must admit that this is an option and solves any previous arguments

Legislation isn't forcing you to have an abortion. You are still free to practice your religion however you please, as long as it doesn't violate the rights of others. And as long as the abortion is early term, you're not killing a living thing, so no one else's rights are violated.Legislation should play no role in religion

Since religion is a part of this, I would like to remind you that stealing is against one if the 10 commandments, and banning abortion is like an attempt to steal someone's free will.

Religion and Abortion go hand in hand. Those against are usually so because of religious beliefs, and those for are usually so because of philosophical beliefs. You can't separate the two, just as you can't keep religion from influencing lawmakers.Tonytlj add:TLJ wrote:

Well I see where this thread is going and I shall have no part in it. To those who answered my questions I say THANK YOU. To those who opened my mind a little more THANK YOU. I do enjoy hearing the opinions of others where they are inline with mine or not. But I say good bye to this thread ✌

@Mick The Mole
Do you believe religion should play no part in legislation as well? If not, then you are a hypocrite and have invalidated your own argument. -
I think..if a girl gets raped..and gets pregnant its acceptable...but not if it's like two teenagers...that just wanna have fun with no responsibility
