A woman's body is her property; what she wants to do with it is her personal choice. In America, a citizens property is protected by the 1st amendment, and her privacy is protected by the 9th amendment.

If it is illegal, some will turn to the black market (with the rusty coat hangers & back alley secret stuff) where it's all unsanitary. If its LEGAL, it is performed in the hospitals, where it's taxed and regulated for sanitation.

And who's body is it? It can't think or reason or make complex decisions, so we should make the choice for it, as much as I hate that.It is not the mothers body... The child is growing inside the mothers womb... It is murder, it is wrong.

Exactly. Same argument applies to gun control, and drugs. If it is illegal, some will turn to the black market (with the rusty coat hangers & back alley secret stuff) where it's all unsanitary. If its LEGAL, it is performed in the hospitals, where it's taxed and regulated for sanitation.

Embryo = alive baby?? Then it should be able to support itself with living off the mother right? I'm sorry you disagree with me but until that baby is pushed out it has no rights. I would argue that the third trimester is when the baby is ready and no abortions should be allowed but that's a personal feeling and in arguments personal feelings should be discarded.

Recently I'd seen that advancements in artificial embryonic development had been made where it was made possible for a woman to have another man and another woman's babyDe Rick wrote:

I believe a woman should have the right to choose but this is a really hard topic because not only is it like murdering a child if they have more they don't abort it is depriving that child of a sibling. The baby would also never even get to live. Maybe he or she was destined to find a cure for cancer, discover a way to perform cold fusion, maybe even save you're life. You never know.

My thoughts exactly.A baby in utero has fingerprints, DNA, a heartbeat, brain waves, sucks it's thumbs, gets the hiccups, and moves around. It's not a thing. It's not an inanimate object. It's not property.

Sorry, my mistake; well either way, banning abortion would be unconstitutional in at least 2 places.Trauger Jogger wrote:

Since everyone seems to be so up in arms over this...they do realize that whether or not it is legal or not they will still be done. Just underground rather than in a safe environment. It's a waste of time for all these "activists" IMO lol!

You know what else grows inside the body tapeworms and cancer should we allow those to live as well? It is my murder and yes it may be wrong but I would rather see an abortion take place rather then a child abuse or child molestation victim.

I feel as tho it should be up to the women. Her body, her baby, her choice. To those saying its murder and gov should tell people how to live. If we ban abortion....what would happen? Women would go to back ally abortion "centers" and most likely end up dead or suffer from illegal abortions. Coat hangers? Now you say that unborn baby is human and has rights. I only agree with the human part. The rights? Not so much. When it comes down to it, you have no say what someone else does with their body. You may not agree, but you get 0 say on how they should live.

I would really love to ask a question in regards to religion on this subject.....but I feel as tho it may hijack this thread or cause some unneeded anger. It's not a rude question or out of line. I think it's a good question, and I'd like to ask it. If you would like me to ask you, please PM me for it. I'd like to keep this off this thread. 😁

Late term abortions are unacceptable in my opinion. Early term abortions are ok as long as there is a good reason for it. It isn't a form of birth control. It should be a last resort. Best solution is to be responsible. But accidents do happen.

Ask the child abuse victims if they'd rather have been aborted. I'm sure not existing is better than being abused and having the chance of a future.

Also, financial responsibility for the abortion should be up to patient, not the tax payer.

Why should the government force people to violate their religious views through our payment of abortion?
