Monkey girl and McCoy meet in a small coffee shop in Western Europe. Monkey girl is sitting at a table, reading a small paperback novel, when McCoy walks up and asks if he might sit down with her. She gracefully aquests his request, and he orders two coffees. He is looking at the picture on the cover of her book, when a feeling of pure evil enters the room. The eyes of the creature in the picture begin to look around, and monkey girl begins to go pale. McCoy is held rigid in his chair, unable to move, as he sees the creature climb off the book and transform into a terrifying monster. It turns to Monkey Girl, and simply crushes her into a pulp, before eating her whole.
The last thing McCoy ever sees is a massive knife materialising in to monster's hand, and watching that knife enter his lower stomach and tear up and out his shoulder. As he splits in half, his vision fades to black.

You just provoked a budding genius to the point of going completely crazy, and then he creates a vial of a mutated virus that, when given to a human, will cause them to become lethargic, but also giving them a form of rabies that makes the victim to be unable to feel pain.
Essentially, he creates a zombie.
He unleashes it in the general area you live in via helicopter, then goes to his safe island to watch the proceedings... -
