Untamed you really need to understand the Jewish culture and beliefs at the time to understand the complexity of what it meant. In reality when most Christians say "he died for your sins" they aren't going into detail about the temple and the spiritual analogy that is used as a high priest sacrificing the lamb in the holy of holies to remove someone's sin. The story itself is simple but if you go deeper into the complexity of what they were trying to convey is where it will get interesting. Of course different theologians (scholars) have differing views on the subject of atonement and that isn't something that is unified amongst all Christians just like most beliefs in Christianity. Various denominations for differing (minor areas of beliefs) most of them all agree on the Godhead though. If you were interested in understanding it and taking the time to instead of just throwing a joke at there then you may find it interesting to know the magnitude of what was really meant by the death & resurrection.

(whether you believe or not it's still interesting to read the details of the whole thing)

I'm not saying that you have to believe they are true. I'm backing up what I believe with scripture I believe in. And, btw, I am going to start learning Hebrew at the first possible opportunity, for exactly that purpose. Also in Greek there are numerous words for love unlike the English dictionary, is it agape, phileo, Eros (erotic love yum), so I just think its not logical to preach bible verses and then say that's true because the bible says so. First you need to establish if they even view the bible as a credible divine book(s) as you do.

Might want to start with Greek if you're a Christian. Then go to Hebrew. The new testament was mainly written in Greek.Sammy Guns🔫🌊🗻 wrote:

So no one goes to hell? Then why threaten with hell if you just said no one goes?Alright Z, I'm going to explain this with my personal opinion, which I believe is true. Everyone sins. These sins are against God. Also, everyone who sins is doomed to eternal death in hell (so they are alive in hell, if you follow). in order for anyone to get into heaven, they must be 100% free of sin. As I previously stated though, everyone is guilty of sinning, so no one is allowed into heaven. But, Jesus, who was 100% sin free, took the place of all the sins humanity will ever do. This allows people to be able to become sin free, because their sin is already paid for. If you follow. I'm not trying to preach, only trying to explain.

I admire a lot of really devout Jews. They know more about the Christian faith then most Christians do. I knew a Jew who had memorized almost the entire new testament (he was NOT a christian) but he could defend judaism and his beliefs against a Christian better than anyone I know. I admired him for being diverse and learning the apologetics of many differing faiths.

To answer the thread. My personal beliefs are just that my personal beliefs. Very subjective just like everyone else's. I dont attend a church, synagogue, coven or other religious institution. If I were to label myself it would probably be a mystic of some sort. I believe a relationship with God is a very personal thing and different between each person. I don't personally care for dogma and adherence to man's law, but I do see the positive value it has had on many people, as well as negative. There wouldn't be as much charity if there wasn't religious organizations. They have done a lot to help people in need which I commend them for. I do enjoy studying various belief systems I always have. I also enjoy studying the occult. I know the bible pretty well too. I could quote numerous areas and I have studied it in hebrew and Greek. I enjoy philosophy, religion, politics (the least versed in this). But I consider myself a pretty open individual.

God is just mean to frogs, punishes the pharaoh for doing as God commanded, hates lambs, and innocent first-born sons.
"Hey, Abraham! Kill Issac! SIKE!"
"Hey, Joeseph Smith! (snicker) Here's another testament of Christ, but don't show it to anyone! (snicker)"
Let's not even get into what he did to his divine son, which as God, he certainly didn't have to do.
He's a really sadistic dude, made to scare humans into following the rules.

To brown note:
Don't even get me started on Joseph Smith. I have a friend she studies or has knowledge in Egyptian hieroglyphics and what they claim is the book of Mormon, pearl of great price etc one of the tablets or whatever he had and in their modern book of Mormon has something to do with the book of the dead or a ritual about handling dead people. I'd have to ask her again specifically what it was. Archaeologically, chronologically, and textually the book of Mormon is fallacious and erroneous. I have original (copied) documents from when their church first started. Adam God, polygamy (and if you denied it you would be damned on both accounts). -
When I was younger I use to work for her when she was creating a film on the fallacies of the book of mormon and the Mormon church. So I learned a lot about them while i was working there. Although the Mormon church does take care of their people and has a lot of family values which is to be commended IMO.

That's exactly what laveyan satanist accuse literal satanists of doing (being inverse Christians). If you truly were a follower of laveyan satanism why would you put so much energy and disdain toward Christianity if it doesn't mean anything to you? (please correct me if I'm wrong on your perceptions because i know I may well be reading you wrong) but it just seems like a awful lot of wasted energy.

Indulgence is very possible, and if you really think our government is Christian controlled...😳😂LMAO. Most people knowingly or unknowingly live by laveyan philosophy, because most people are by nature selfish and hedonistic. Therefore they indulge. America is very indulgent lol especially in gluttony. LMAO look at some of these heffers you think they aren't indulging? I don't consider the American country constrained or abstaining from their desires and their pursuit of happiness.Sammy Guns🔫🌊🗻 wrote:

Hang on. Someone earlier said Easter was defo xtian as it fell on the right date of what they are celebrating.
No?
It falls on a different date each year. As calculated by the harmonisation of solar and lunar calendars.
So unless jesus manages to die and resurrect on different dates each year in the past retrospectivly that doesn't make sense does it? -
Ya know what there's no point in even arguing with you guys, you all think of God as some hateful person who wants humanity to suffer, but it's the complete opposite, so im done here, I will pray for you guys though that your eyes will be opened.

To Whoever said they don't think god loves others because of past suffering:
That is one thing that is dealt with in most religions. In my own personal one, we believe that our sufferings make us stronger and bring us closer to God.
And Belial, if the government was controlled by Christians:
-no death penaltys
-sex before marriage would be forbidden
- and a bunch of other things -

Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the Spring Equinox.
