(maybe the Christians are infiltrating our population! 😱)

You ever read Mere Christianity by CS Lewis? He gives examples of morality atheists and Christians alike would accept. I don't think all of the legal system is adopted by Christian views. Even the person who made the comment of gay marriage. I actually read a book (I can't find the name right now PM later and I'll find it) it was arguments against gay marriage none of which brought up religious views. It was really interesting because it gave arguments from a completely different view than I had expected.Problem is Christians seek to get into legislature and control others morals requiring everyone to be morally a christian. Disgusting thing is they've succeeded

I believe that under the US Constitution, our governments are not allowed to consider gender to be a determining factor in their laws.
That alone would mean that a state may not deny a marriage based on the genders involved. (kind of a technicality)
That said, what is the point? Marriage is a religious institution designed to strengthen family units for the purpose of child rearing.
Maybe the state shouldn't be marrying anyone, nor have laws that recognize or otherwise benefit marriages.
The state marrying people is an example of religious tradition infiltrating our laws and state institutions.

The government sure had their hands in that.

I would argue that it has been historically outlawed, and simply remains outlawed. The accusation is that the Christians, (not the Jews or Muslims, by the way..), are infiltrating our legislatures to change the law. Also, many states put it up for referendum, and it did not become legal based on democratic vote.

That's more contract law than anything else. I said no way to that, and she dropped it. Was she a stay-at-home domestic unit without an education? -
Brown🎵Note😲 wrote:
No way to that? You talking about your ex? The court and lawyers dont just drop it. No matter how ridiculous the amount. She went to college while I was on deployment I'm sure it was very enjoyable for her. But she quit working at one point. And her lawyer told her not to get a job even though we had been split up for I think 9 months at the time.Sammy Guns🔫🌊🗻 wrote: Tell that to my ex-wife who has received an ungodly amount from alimony.

I can't complain though, look at Mel Gibson. That guy got hit hard. She took his balls too (practically). That was crazy she also gets half of future earnings for life. That's nuts. California sucks.

Biggest example of subverting our legal system is actually anti prostitution laws. Another example off the top of my head is in co you can't buy alcohol on Sunday

There is absolutely no non religious reason to not have gay marriage and anyone who makes such claims is a Christian who's kidding themselves👿Belial wrote:

You needed to get her to drop it before it went that far. She came at me with everything through her lawyer: permanent alimony, abandonment, legal fees, no visitation, full property disclosure... I talked her out of it down to an uncontested no-fault divorce, property already equitably distributed, regular visitation, and state-calculated child support.
I was re-served in 2 days with the new agreement.
Every situation is different, but it's the lawyers that stir up the shit.
Fucking lawyers, man.

Yes there is... I just gave a very good argument about that very thing. In one breath you want religion out of our laws, and now you want states performing religious rites???

Brown note I tried. Everything I offered she wanted more. I offered the house as long as she refinanced it within 3 years, she wanted 5. Money ad so on everything was more

More. I fired my lawyers toward the end. I did better representing myself then my lawyer did. I got a lot of shit better after that. -
Belial it wasn't a Christian or covert Christians. Lol most Christians can't write that intelligently (no offense meant for others). It came at it from different angles. Some psychologists. Others philosophical. None religious. Although brown notes argument and reasoning was duly noted and makes sense.

I'm sure divorce lawyers would love if gay marriage would pass though they'd be making bank just like regular marriage. My brother wants to get married when it becomes legal. He's said that to 3 ex boyfriends now. That would have been interesting. Lol.

Pre Christian? Like before 35 ad? Different culture. Drugs were legal in the US at one point (post christian) the government knew at first that drug laws would be unconstitutional that is why first they were taxed before the unconstitutional controlled substances act came into place. About 60 years later.Brown🎵Note😲 wrote:

At one point I didn't have the gift of breathing. And the gift of life was hanging by a thread.God has shown no love towards me. I don't expect an easy life.
But I also don't expect a life threatening disease. The emotional torment after my near encounter with death. I don't expect to be rejected from my friends because of this experience. They don't understand what I've been through and couldn't cope with it, so they simply push me away.
I have missed out on so much in life because of this. I won't be able to do a lot of things.
I might be lucky to even get some qualifications for the job I want. That'll require a lot of work.My life went down the drain from one event. Then you can tell me, that some all powerful being loves me. He hasn't shown any love. And he never will.
It comes down to one of the four options. He's hateful. He's selfish. He's sick or she simply doesn't exist.
I'd prefer to think someone so demented didn't exist. -
Our founding fathers many of them were deists (not Christian) the morality they had would be similar to christianity. They ahem lol had a huge influence on our government. Maybe because just like most major world religions agree on many moral views objectively. Christian or not, these laws were enacted. The Sunday drinking one do you think they were out with pitchforks on sunday looking for boozers? Lol I doubt it was taken seriously.
