I always find it strange when I see people arguing over religion. No matter what your religion is you should always be tolerant of other religions.
And any religion that tells you otherwise is probably best left alone. I'm not a Buddhist but some of the wisest words I have ever heard came from the Dalai Lama.
He said "My religion is very simple, my religion is kindness" and he also said "If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you CAN survive without it".
Anybody who is offended by the mentioning of other religions just because it's Easter needs to take a serious look at themselves. -
I wish the majority of you took a comparitive religions course. There is so much misinformation and crap on here, there is too much to address. Including people not understanding Laveyan Satanism, as well as some comments regarding christianity. And to the poster about tolerance of religions,
the statement is almost illogical in and of itself. As I stated before most major religions in their beliefs themselves do not allow them to be tolerant of sin, that is THEIR BELIEF, so to condemn them of intolerance for their beliefs is kind of being intolerant yourself. If you wanted to be truly tolerant you would understand not every religion is tolerant in their belief system. Instead of being intolerant of those who are intolerant which in fact makes you intolerant. (I know this sounds redundant but if you see the original statement it will make sense.). -
You condemn those that are intolerant in your eyes, but by doing so you are not truly being tolerant of their beliefs...I hope the one that made the statement understands what I mean.

In defense of Catholics/Catholicism:
I'm a Roman Cathlic, and I'm proud of it. Do I acknowledge and respect others and their beliefs? Yes. Do I think my church has made mistakes in the past? Of course. I'm fairly sure the Church wasn't made make money, though I will admit the jokes about all of our donations going towards getting the pope a bigger hat are funny. I respect every religion except satanism. However, that's just because of my own religion. I know that there are different, shall we say, "levels" of it. I wholeheartedly think the ones that enforce sacrificing, rape, and other such things are completely evil. So please don't hate on the whole Cathlic church. I'm not sure how many, or if there are any, others that share a similar view on it, but there are those who aren't stereotypes.

I know I can be intolerant. I think that's normal. At least I'm lactose tolerant. Lots of people can't say that.
Tolerance is one of those funny words. Everyone is intolerant of many things. Only a few of those things are considered sacred, and must be tolerated.
But even being tolerant leaves room for seething hatred. You tolerate a screaming baby behind you on an airplane. You tolerate a homeless man taking a dump on the subway.
But I don't have to tolerate everything. I don't tolerate people breaking my front door down, people hitting me with a car, or even people that cut in line. What makes it intolerance? Just expressing my dislike? Having to correct the situation?

I am an apostolic Pentecostal christian and I have been raised in the church. I respect all people and all religions but I don't Agree with the deity of satanism (which is Satan) because of my faith. I don't care if your Muslim, bhuddist, a satanist, you are still a human being and you have all freedom to believe what you want to. I won't look at you any differently, infact I will pray for you. When I see Christians disrespect and slander others because of there belief it frustrates me to no end because for 1). It gives Christians a bad name and gives Jesus a bad name, 2). It ruins all chances of them becoming a Christian because they will associate all Christians acting like that and the won't want to be like that, 3). They are Not following the greatest commandments which is love the lord with all you heart, and love your neighbor as yourself, by slandering and acting hateful toward people shows that you are not loving your neighbor.
