I haven't read the books either but I was dragged to see it, I thought it was 8/10
When it came to fighting the camera moved around too much, didn't like that.
The story was pretty neat but I could tell that it was rushed to get so much of the book in, like the ending.
The berries at the end were a great touch ;) Forgot about them and they came up atthe right time.
When the bullies were following the Catnip, I thought that could've been done to be more exciting.

Heh, the assholes at hollywood made them do the action scenes like that to make it a pg-13 movie instead of R. They actually had more in depth, violent scenes but thought if they had an R rating it would detract from the viewers allowed to see the movie, lessening their profits as well.I haven't read the books either but I was dragged to see it, I thought it was 8/10

Nah. The Hunger Games is a bloodbath survival book with a tiny "love story" on the side.Looks like another twilight movie.. The only reason I might download it in a few months is due to that fiiiine biatch!

I liked it but I didn't like the changes. Like where Katniss got the pin and that Haymith wasn't a falling down drunk like in the book. But I did like how they showed what was going on behind the scenes of the game.

It was decent when it came to following the book, although they didn't explain some things and some people died in ways they didn't die in the book...
Otherthan that, i'm a Hunger Games hipster. I read it the day it came out, and have been waiting for a movie ever since.
And it earns my iron fisted approval. Only complaint is not introducing some people and not explaining some things very well. Otherwise, love it. Going to see it again with some friends at the best theater in town this week.

I just saw it agin and liked it a little better. Also I noticed when I went you can tell who read the book and who was dragged in just by their reactions.

The movie is great the funniest part is when rue dies from the spear
-
I really liked it. There were some things that could have been done better though. I give it an 8.5/10

I just get so excited about the movie, I've seen it tree times already. Like Chiken, I'm totally hipster about it cuz I read it early. I gotta retread it now.

I never post, would rather spend my time punching codes. But I need to say this: anyone who utters the tripe cliché "the book was better" about any MOVIE ever made should eat a cancer sandwich and die alone covered in semen. I don't read books because I prefer passive culture, but when you go pay $10 to see a film- they don't hand you a hard copy for a reason. You're going to the cinema, not the library. If you prefer the book, read that and leave the rest of us alone who want to enjoy a MOVIE. That being said, the hungergames was nearly unwatchable. She is hot, and the costumes/production values were top notch. Even the story is well thought out (despite being overtly derivative of several classics, most notably the running man, twilight [also awful], Rocky IV, a splash of the matrix and an ending that reeked of Romeo & Juliet).

The "love story" is awkward and she is way outta his league (not to mention bigger than Peter), the antagonist is not properly developed, the 'wolves' rate of closure would have easily overtaken the fleeing couple and could have obviously jumped on top of the cornucopia nullifying the anti-climax where catness has some magical power to thwart an arrow from piercing through the bad guys hand when those same arrows fired from much longer distances with the same bow-tension has taken down full grown humans for days at this point? And why did she care when Rue died? Didn't they all have to die for the story to reach a logical conclusion, was she under the impression that all her friends would survive the ordeal? Those issues along with so many inconsistencies like why did they never revisit the social unrest shown after catness signaled Rues district? And what the hell is that three finger salute anyway?
-
Its good I just saw it about halfsn hour ago , just got home
-
And why the obvious attraction to the bigger dood in her district? That was also not explained to people who didn't read the book. And the director/screenwriter expects us to believe she would choose suicide over sure financial stability for her widowed mother/fatherless sister? What a piece of garbage, I'd rather count the fibers ina used tampon than watch that terrible movie again. I could go on for days, but I have a life and it requires I tend to it once ina while. You wanna see a great movie that started out asa book? The count of monté cristo, the Jim Caviezel version. Awesome flick where it was never assumed you had previously studied the literature. My humble opinion, peace!

I liked the movie, not the ending

Read the fucking book, dumbass.
1. You're spelling Katniss wrong.
2. The "wolves" were actually genetically altered mutts.
3. The salute was a respect to her district.
4. District 11 has more of a backstory to it, so i suggest you READ. THE. BOOK.
5. She didn't want riches and fame, dumbfuck. She wanted to destroy the grip the capitol had over her, and if suicide meant that, then that was that.
6. It's a movie made after a book by a highly acreditted author.
That being said it's pretty much expected you've read the book. I mean, it's not even that long. If you're not intelligent enough to read a book you're just killing more brain cells watching a movie that obviously was more complicated than what you could comprehend. -
Amazing I'm gonna reread the series
-
7. If you'd have payed attention, she disoriented the mutts.
8. IF YOU'D PAYED ATTENTION, you'd know that Peeta was being used as a bullet monkey, and that was all she could do without killing peeta.
9. Those "inconsistencies" you speak of are all addressed in the second book, which you probably won't understand either because your thick skull will only be thinking of how bad it is, rather than trying to understand it.All tha being said, you did get one thing right.
Jennifer Lawrence is hot. -
Oh, and the book had inspirations of the running man, but it blossoms into more than it. Also, what the fuck does twilight have to do with it?
-
Haha pretty cool movie.💎😃💎

With a 13 year old twist? I disagree. It was a very childlike revolutionary movie. It could have been so so much more powerful.Montę Çristo wrote:

It's a fucking stupid comedy. Made to make dumbasses feel good about themselves.
"Woops, i hit some guy with a car. That's funny :B"
Hunger Games has a powerful plot, violence, rebellion, something of a dumbed down running man, and is aimed towards people that enjoy edge of the seat heart pounding pulse raising action. The box office should confirm my thoughts as well.

Agreed. A bit hostile there buddy. Just because you've deemed some cult series worthy doesn't mean others will.⌖🔥Çħίκεɴ🔥⌖ wrote:
